swollen feet postpartum

Hi - I had a c section 3 days ago and I am so swollen. My legs and feet are probably three times their normal size. Did this happen to anyone else??

While caring for my son in the nicu, 2 days postpartum, I noticed my calves and ankles were swollen 3 times their regular size. I thought it was because I had been on my feet all day looking at my baby in his incubator. The next day,I felt light headed and like I was going to pass out, my chest also hu. I was taken to the er, which was at a different hospital because the one my son was at was a children's hospital. My blood pressure upon arriving to the er was 167/103.

Like I said....I had a c section with my son and I got extremely swollen until I quit taking the pain meds.

Usually it only got swollen after sex, now its just swollen all the time. It feels weird. Has anyone experienced this??

After surgery they worry about circulation problems. If you are swollen especially in legs and feet go in. I'm sure you are ok and could wait for morning but if you feel like something is wrong go in! Better safe than sorry especially after a major surgery! I have had 2 csections. I did have chills after both surgeries n when I asked about it they put long stockings n warm heated blankets on me. To keep blood circulation good. Best of luck, and congrats on the baby!

I am 6 months postpartum and have been suffering with chronic hives since postpartum day two. I have had 2 previous ED visits due to SOB, chest pain, facial swelling and loss of voice my 3rd and 4th days post partum. I was put on Zyrtec at month 3 but in the past couple of days the Zyrtec is not working. It makes me nervous because my voice gets raspy and my throat feels funny but my breathing stays ok and I do not have any wheezing.

When u have the baby ur uterus and vaginal opening are stretched not swollen.... it takes time for it to go back in size ... I was cleared for sex 6 weeks postpartum but did not feel ready. .. it felt very weird when I finally did have sex ...

Any of you lady's have swollen feet/ankles? I work about 40 hours a week and my feet are killing me. What do you guys do to help your aching feet?

I'm 36 weeks today and since last night my left feet got swollen and my right feet is kinda getting swollen too but not as bad as the left one should I go to the er to get check up because I'm at high risk pregnancy or its normal to get swollen at 36 weeks?

After I had my baby my feet swollen up really bad. I'm thinking its from extra fluid since I had to have an IV in the whole four day stay at the hospital.

So i am 37 weeks and 5 days! And crazy as it sounds i JUST had my baby shower this weekend and that night my feet puffed up like never before! I was so surprised! And ever since they haven't came down! A guest at my baby shower mentioned to me that swollen feet is a sign of labor?? Its my first time ever hearing that. So im asking and wondering if its true?? So Today Was My Babyshower .. Usually My Feet Swell Up At Random Times & Once Ina Blue Moon .. Really Happens Only When Im Sitting Down For A Long Period Of Time .. Today At My Babyshower They Slowly Started Swelling & As I Was Sitting Down Opening Gifts I Could Feet My Feel Swelling .. i Had To Even Take My Sandles Off ! & Struggled To slide Them Back In !! Its Now 10:53 at Night & This Started Happening Around 4ish & My Feet Are Still Swollen ..

Agree w above.. I never had swollen feet/hands w my 1st 2 pregnancies. My 3rd however, I started swelling around 25wks. I couldn't wear my wedding bands. My ankles also would be swollen. I didn't gain a lot of weight only 30lbs total for the entire pregnancy. What I noticed helped me was wearing my tennis shoes, if I did my ankles would not swell. I think having my feet better supported. But my hands stayed swollen the entire pregnancy I had to stop wearing my wedding rings completely.

My aunt told me that she noticed her feet extra swollen right before going into labor and that the fact that my feet are extra swollen could mean that I am going into labor soon... is this true that I could be going in to labor soon?. Does it have anything to do with it?

Hi ladies im 32 weeks and my feet got a lil swollen. One is more swollen than the other lol. Normally yes im tored my feet hurt aince i stand all day at work but once im up im ok i can handle it. I have a lot of energy. Yesterday i had a small baby shower just friends and i was walking around ALL day today i clean ALL day and now it hurts to even walk. My feet are killing me i feel like i cant even put pressure on them so i walk as if i have needles sticking out :/.

I have elephant feet. Sometimes i cant even walk because my feet feel like theyll bleed. My toes with get creases in them and my ankles to. Its the most horrible feelimg ive ever had in my feet ever!

My feet ate now swollen and after only three hours of work it feels like pins and needles on my feet they will hurt so bad, what should I do?
