Is swollen feet just a normal symptom of pregnancy or is it something I should be worried about ?

Be careful with swelling. I had the same thing during my pregnancy, by the end of the day my feet were incredibly swollen. If you can keep your feet up, if you work, get a box and put it under your desk. They also have support hose that can hold in the swelling. Doctors will get worried about pre-eclampsia and if the swelling gets too bad it can be dangerous for you and the baby. Make sure you talk to your doctor. Also, exercise helps as well.

First trimester was awesome second was easy and now I'm 38 weeks I'm dying... Being Pregnant ***** all the way around!!

This happened to me, especially during the last trimester. I could not get it to totally stop becuase I was not able to be off my feet enough. But what I did do was drink a lot of water. Elevate my feet when possible. If it got really bad I would wear tent-hose which are basiclly special tight knee high socks that promote blood flow in your legs, Dr. can get these for you or you can get them at medical supply stores.

Certainly felt like you describe for first pregnancy (plus SUCH swollen feet and ankles and back pain), and felt similar for 2nd (without the cankles), but I'm surprisingly doing ok at the 36 week mark of this one! Was a little rough in 2nd trimester, highly fatigued, with SPD, but 3rd trimester has been very smooth for some reason! But I can still sympathise with you, my memories are clear enough!

i was pretty swolen my mom said she was a little worried abotu how swollen my feet, legs, and ankels were. well when i went into labor and got to the hospital....my blood pressure was very high. they were giving me med to try and bring it down...even after i had him it was still high. and by the time i left, sure enough it was high.

This may be a dumb question but I read that most wemon who are in their 3rd trimester have swollen feet. I go walking twice a day for an hour and my feet don't really hurt and don't look swollen.

Thats perfectly normal. My feet were so swollen during my secon trimester. It stopped & then didnt come back til 2-3 weeks before I had my son.

Lol) Keep in mind that every pregnancy is different and every body is different. It often gets better for most during the second trimester though.

Its very common during pregnenacy.

You are carrying another human that is putting pressure on your lower body so thats why some people get swollen legs n feet, varicose veins, pain and swollen vj.

I've had really swollen feet since the beginning of my pregnancy; its nowso bad that I can indent my ankles if I push on them, and the other day, even the top of my foot was swollen. I didn't get put on bed rest for that.

I got nauseous again like in the first trimester, sore and leaking nipples, swollen feet , and pressure on my lower abdomen .. that's all I can think of right now oh and my sons kicks are so painful at times !
