I don't know what is on the bottom of my inner eye lid. It has my eye swollen and it does hurt. It look like a stye and did have pus come out of it .
A chalazion is filled with firm, hard to remove oil and inflammatory material. It does not drain like a stye which is filled with pus. Eyelid surgery for a chalazion involve local anesthetic injection, putting on a round 'chalazion clamp" making a X shaped incision on the back of the lid (usually sometimes front) and using a 'chalazion currette' to scrape out the 'granulaion tissue" often a steroid is injection in the remainder of the chalazia.
Felt like something was irritated at the base of my eyelashes. Woke up yesterday morning with a swollen eye lid. Still swollen today and eye lid is red. I was thinking that it might be a stye but there is no little bump anywhere on my eyelid. I have been applying warm compresses throughout the day. Think this is a stye forming or something else? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
A week ago I had a severe pain on that tooth and I started taking Amoxicillin 500mg as my dentist prescribed in case of infection when he opened it to clean the roots.The next day the part next to my nose got swollen but the pain has gone.After 5 days on Amoxicillin the swell is not visible but I can feel it when I open my mouth. The thing that get me worried is that slight pressure feeling on my cheek and the upper eyelid.
Use the search feature and archives and read about blepharitis the most common cause of recurrent styes. Get some Occusoft Foam Eyelid cleaner OR SteriLid Foam eyelid cleaner and use 3 to 5 times/week when you shower to clean you lids (just like you clean your scalp).
There is some evidence that long term omega 3 supplements may help. Use a high quality enteric coated fish oil like cardiotabs Omega 3 start with one per day for 2 weeks then add second pill with breakfast.
Earlier this week I woke up to some discomfort in my right eye, namely my upper eyelid, and when I went to check I noticed a bump where it was most tender. Naturally I peeked underneath my eyelid and found a pus like bump there. It's been a few days now and it doesn't seem to bother me anymore, there's no swelling or redness/tenderness.
I also recently developed a yellowish bump (no pus) on my upper inner eyelid. It irritates my eye when I blink. Here is a picture. Any ideas?

My 2 1/2 yr old has a white pimple on inner upper eyelid and then right above it he has a big white bump pimple that looks like its filled with pus
If it's neurological there shouldn't be any actual swelling of the eyelid involved, hmmm if the eyelid is swollen then it 'could' make the eyelid just look like it's drooping down, have you seen your GP about it yet? As aspen mentioned it could be an infection or even a reaction bug bite on the eyelid, if it's been a few days and it's still swollen it'd be worth getting your GP to check it out.

I've had 4 operations in the last 9 months for retinal detachment. After the first 3, my eye would always recover properly. The last operation which was done December 5th 2008, went well according to my doctor. I went to Africa for a little over a month to travel with family in January. I did everything the doctor told me, putting my eye drops in and not touching the eye as it healed. Now it's June, and for the past 3 months the upper eyelid on the affected eye has been swollen.
Hello about 3 days ago my bottom eyelid was tender to touch or put eyeliner on,it was not discolored or puffy/ yesterday my btm eyelid under eyelashes was swollen looked like fluid was trapped/Wednesday am my bottom eyelid was almost swollen shut &very sore no discoloration or krusties / i have a little white pimple like spot on the inside middle part of bottom eyelid ..... what is it????
I often wake up with a large, swollen eyelid. This has happened for over a month now. It alternates between both the left and right eye, top or bottom eyelid, and sometimes even both. There is no pain, and the swelling is normally reduced after using a cold compress... I have not noticed any patterns as to when the swelling occurs, and went weeks without makeup to see if that would help (if it was an allergic reaction.) Nothing seems to be effective, what could be the problem?
Over the last six months i am having recurrent swollen eyelid, only one eye at a time but can be either eye, usually lasts 1 or 2 days, only upper eyelid, no pain, itchyness, blurry vision or bloodshot eyes. Had reoccured every 2-3 wks, have had 9wks now when it hasn't happened, and yesterday it reoccurred. GP has tested for thyroid problems, all clear. About three to four days ago my eye began to feel like I had been punched in the face on the left side. I woke up the next morning to find a swollen eyelid, and a few lumps about the size of a piece of rice to a pin head. I gave it a day then went to the after hours where they gave me drops. Its since been two days and it gets more swollen everyday, today being swollen shut. The outside is purple and red and the inside is bright red and the lumps are growing.
If your eyelid problem is due to inflammation or infection you will need to see an ophthalmologist for treatment. If it is due to the effects of age then you will need to see a plastic surgeon or oculoplastic surgeon.
I have swollen eyelids that come and go, almost like hives, but rarely itch. Can be one or several. On omnicef for sinus infection, but doctor doesn't think this is causing it. Before omincef had a sulfer type med that caused swelling in joints, sick stomach, rash, fever. Have been on Omicef 5 days. Started having strange raised bumps for three days that come and go. Will say that two weeks ago had actual hives around eyes and think it was caused from eye cream.
It seemed that just the inner part (toward the nose) of the eyelid was red and swollen but the skin above my eyelid has also drooped over my lid. The redness is gone and although my eye still feels like something is not quite right and the lid is a little more dry than normal, it looks all better except for that drooping skin. Is that due to swelling? Will it get better? I am only 24, so I don't think that skin should be drooping already (& on just one eye).
