I did continue the medicine for 7 days as directed by her doctor. This past Thursday I woke up to swollen, itchy, red watery eyes. I assumed that I got pink eye from her so I started to take her medicine. My eyes are slowly getting better. They are no longer itchy and I do not have anymore discharge. However, they are still red and under my eyes look swollen. I have been on the antibiotic for over 5 days now. Should I expect them to be completely cleared up by now?
I had pink eye about 4 weeks ago and was given eye drops to use Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution USP. Now my eye lids (the one that had pink eye is the worse) are swollen, pink and itch like HE**. They are crusty and burn, and I have wrinkles in the corner of my eyes and my lids seem to droop I also have a huge bag under the eye that had pink eye. I dont know what has happen to me can someone plese help?
Not certain about the white bumps but red itchy eyes maybe allergy or pink eye(conjunctivitis ) He may need a med so it would be best to show the doctor .We also have an eye care forum on Med Help may have other ideas. check it out ..
My significant other has caught pink eye and has had it for approximately two weeks now. In the first few days, he had the typical symptoms: redness in the eyes, a little swelling, some itching. After those few days up until now, he's become highly sensitive to light, his eye lids are very swollen, his eyes are highly irritable he can barely keep them open, and what's worse is that the thin membrane covering his eye balls appears to have 'blistered'.
While laying in bed I noticed a small bump on my cornerlower eyelid that was painful. (very tiny tiny bump) next morning woke up to crusty eyelashes, white part of eye slightly swollen, and pinkish color eye and swollen upper eyelid. Went to eye dr he wasn't sure what the issue is, informed wasnt pink eye nor a stye, but prescribed maxitrol to use twice a day.
I had pink eye when I was five months, they couldn't give me any medicine, so they gave me artificial tears, which you can get at any store really. & they had me do hot compresses on my eyes. The eye drops they had me put them in whenever my eyes got dry and uncomfortable, I caught it really early, so it only lasted about 3 days.
if it stays red for more than a couple hours, or crusts around the edges, or oozes green, or yellow, then theres a possibility you have pink eye. keep it cleaned off, and if it crusts up or stays red and/or swollen, then i would recommend going to the doctor. be sure to keep washing your hands before and after each time you touch your eyes for at least 20 seconds.
About two weeks ago, I started developing the traditional pink eye symptoms of redness, itchy, drainage, crusty, etc. I went to the doctor, and was told, yes, it was pink eye. He gave me some antibiotic drops, and sent me on my way. Two days later I was back in his office, with my eye swollen almost shut, my eyeball redder than I've ever seen, and what looked like a blister on the outer corner of my eyeball.
Within hours both of my eyes are had become drastically worse -- red, swollen eyelids, constant discharge photophobia and pain, Having never had pink eye before, I assumed this was the natural progression of the affliction, and over the next five days I took my drops four times a day as prescribed, my eyes getting worse and worse. Finally on the fifth day I woke, barely able to open my eyes, and went into the doctor.
The symptoms went away in about a week. Then came the eye symptoms. I went back to see my doctor an she said its pink eye from the flu i had.
So my question is. How rare is it to get gonorrhea in ones eye? I didn't get in semen shot into my eye. I didn't rub my eyes in anyones vagina. I guess you can get it by touching your eye after touching someones vagina. How much fludid are talking about here? I don't know.

After treating for pink eye for 2 months they did a CT scan and told me that is was not pink eye that it was an orbital pseudotumor. I followed up with a specialist who prescribed oral prednisone. after 3 months of no improvement he began steroid injections to the eye. After almost a year the symptoms had gone away with no ongoing treatment. In december of 2010 my eye starting hurting again like before.

I couldn't say if my eye was opened how badly it was swollen. The doctors at the ER gave me antibiotics through IV but my eye got worst. I had a CT scan and everything was normal. Then it went away and I got the same pain in my left eye and know its tender and swollen in that corner. I believe it may be pink eye but i'm not sure. My mom is making me wipe antibacterial wipes on everything i touch. School starts soon and I don't want to have a puffy eye!!!!! Help, what is this thing!???
Sometimes in the morning I wake up my left eye ball is pink I use eye drops for it. I feel my right eye bigger then the left eye. When i pull down both of my cheeks at the same time with my hands I can see under the eyeballs and my left eyeball is a little pushed back up higher then the right. The right eyeball is lower and sticking out a little which it is normal.
sorry to hear you woke up to that... thing is, so did i! lol. i woke up to my right eye swollen, red and burning/hurting. feels scratchy like there is something in it when i blink. Idk if your eye is like mine, but it also has alot of watery dischargh along with yellowish gunky discharge alot like the "sleepies" you get when you wake up. But anyway, point is, my boyfriend's mom is a nurse and she told me i have Pink Eye.
Two months ago on my way back from a camping trip I started getting pain in my left eye when I'd look to the left or right. The following Monday I saw an eye doctor that treated me for pink eye, with Neomycian, that it turned out I was alergic to. In about two weeks the pain/swelling/headaches went away on their own. I felt and looked fully recovered as my eyes would not be swollen in the mornings and my vision was excelent once again.
