Ok so I'm supposed to keep an eye out if my ankles get swollen. And I think they are but I'm not sure. I also have a weird feeling in.both my legs and I'm not sure why. My doctor thinks I might be developing high blood pressure due to my high levels of protein so im supposed to keep an eye out for the symptoms. So please any advice will be helpful.

The pain is particularly bad in the morning when at its worse and the evenings when my feet and ankles are very swollen. The joints were very hot to touch but now they alternate between hot and cold and when cold if I try warm them they feel like they are burning but they are cold to touch.
After a weekend of trying to rest my joints and feeling really relieved that the pain had reduced I went back to work Monday with less swelling and ankle joints that looked marginally less red and angry.
I had high blood pressure with my first pregnancy and I was watched by the doctor. My daughters were fine by the doctor did what she needed to make sure. Knowledge is power. I would suggest calling and making an appointment ASAP. It is better to go and be wrong then to do nothing. I will be praying for you.
I switched from Toprol xl to Metropolol tart about 2-3 months ago and since then one of my ankles, has swollen up and it is very painful to walk on. Even after being off of it, overnight, there is no relief. The swelling has been constant for the whole 2 months. Has anybody else had this kind of side effect? I am going to try going back to the name brand Toprol xl, to see if this helps, before I have a MRI done of my ankle.
my mother is 75 and on blood pressure medication and her feet are so swollen they look like balloons is this the cause of her swollen feet.
Both are signs of preeclampsia but without the blood pressure, the feet swelling is normal. Last week my blood pressure was high with all those symptoms so they finally got worried and sent me for bloodwork. That came back normal so with all the symptoms, they still say i am good. Im almost 39 weeks. I know the reasons for swelling i get are do you drink enough water, you retain water, do u eat a lot of salt, etc. I personally wouldnt pretend symptoms i dont have.
I was just put on 180 mg. of Cardizem LA once a day and was curious if anyone else here was taking this medication? If so, what side effects do or did you have? So far (only the first day) I haven't had any. Also, did the medication work for you as far as lowering your blood pressure?
My feet and ankles look REALLY freakishly swollen right now. Its not pretty. I know to bring down the swelling you keep them elevated but does anyone know of a faster technique!? They hurt more when swollen and Im in school so I walk around a lot. I know swelling occurs and is normal but when I look at my feet I cant believe theyre mine, lol.

I take heart medication (Amiorarone 200 mg) and blood pressure medication. My question is why are my ankles retaining water. The doctor has changed blood pressure medication to include a kind of water pill that is included in the new blood pressure medication. What is causing the swelling in my ankles. 33 weeks and lately by midday my ankles are really swollen! Still working 2 jobs 830a to 3pm and 5pm to 9pm. Need the money but I don't want to make things worse. What can I do? I elevate them on my break and stay off when I can but it doesn't help much :( has anyone been put on bed rest bc of severe swollen feet?
