cpap

Avatar m tn I have been diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea and severely delayed REM sleep after undergoing a Sleep study. I have been trialed on a CPAP machine, despite getting to a drowsy stage I am unable to get into a deeper sleep and I am conscious throughout entire night and this has been told to me that I enter stage 1 sleep during this time. I have used the CPAP machine for 3 months now with no improvement in sleep.

Avatar n tn They put me on a z pack and told me to take Claritin D. I am now three day into the z pack and I can now no longer hear water running when I wash my hands or brush my teeth. I am still running a slight fever and my head feels like it's going to explode. Inside my head it sounds like an endless rain storm. I am going crazy.....what else could this be??
648944 tn?1241469694 From what I've read on a site devoted to cpap (cpaptalk) some of the older machines are workhorses and some report length of service similar to yours. It would not hurt to plan for the day it does "give up the ghost". Have you had it checked to make sure it is still outputting the proper pressure? Also, many of the newer machines capture treatment data so that you can know if your treatment is effective, and some even have available software so you can monitor it yourself.
Avatar n tn There is clear and recognized link between MS and sleep disorders --- at least some types of sleep disorders and especially when MS lesions are present in the brain stem. MS can definitely cause a type of sleep apnea called central sleep apnea. I'm wondering if you have that and if it might be why you need bi-pap instead of CPAP. Do you have trouble exhaling against the constant air pressure of CPAP (if you ever used it, of course)?
4442651 tn?1355714087 At the beginning of my second trimester I had a really bad cold and congestion Dr told me to take sudafed (over the counter) (pseudoephedrine ) I took it for about 7 days as recommended on the pack and then felt better.

Avatar f tn I have alot of problems with my right hip/buttock area so, even though the lead wire was inserted on the right side, he was able to place the battery pack on the left hand side. He had to create a tunnel from the lead wire over 6 inches to the pack but that's alright with me. I kept taking the pain pills from the Friday evening until Sunday evening and slept 80% of the time. I stayed in bed lying on my right side for 9 days.

Avatar f tn I found that my energy level improved with CPAP but I still had my MS fatigue, so between CPAP and Adderall, on a good day, I am feel super. On Tysabri day, I feel like my butt got kicked and spend the afternoon on the recliner! I did get my Tysabri this week! I took aspirin to make sure (LOL) but it was 98.5. Seems a fever makes Tysabri act weird or something.

579258 tn?1250649343 but he wont get anything healthy for me!!!!!!!!!!!! He got this Super bowl party pack at a deil for like $100, which includes a 4ft hero, buffelo wings and other stuff I wont eat!!! So i opted to bringing my own snacks. No salt Utz chips, grapes and some no salt pretzel sticks (and peanut butter that is safe to eat for my pretzel sticks). Me and my boyfriend might pick up some sugar free cookies from the bakery too.
Avatar m tn I was completely unable to handle cpap as it induced vertigo (a problem which I have intermittently), and sharp pains in my ears. I worked with the doctor and even on the lowest settings I had problems. I tried an oral device, but I have severe TMJ and it was too painful. I tested for oxygen desaturation this week and it went down to 88%. The doctor is offering me oxygen. I realize this isn't a replacement for cpap, but given my situation, could this be at all helpful?

Avatar f tn HI and thanks for using the forum. No, it does not mean that you will definitely go early. You can be 1cm dilated and still go full term. Your ob/gyn will continue to monitor your cervix for changes until you deliver. However, it is a good idea to have your hospital bag packed and be ready in case you do go early. You don't want to have to pack a bag once you go into labor! So get your things together, charge up your camera battery, and install your car seat.
Avatar m tn t knock down, which, I would imagine they will prescribe for pain control afterwards. The only super bad pain I had was in recovery after the procedure. As I started coming to I was suddenly hit with a ton of pain in my nose/face area. The best way I could describe it was as if my nose had been completely smashed with a brick. I called, well, yelled for the nurse. She came in, injected some meds into my IV and I was good within about 3-5 min.
Avatar f tn I'd splurge on a pack n play combo. One with multi features such as a changing table, bassinet, and the pack n play option of course. You can do without towels and baby rags, because its all the same to use yours. Dont bother with a tub, you just put a towel to pad the sink. Buy tons of diapers, wipes and baby clothes!
