518798 tn?1295212279 I switched to sumatriptan tablets from injections because my insurance would no longer provide coverage. I have found that the tablets work as well as the injections. HOWEVER, the tablets take an hour to work as compared with fifteen minutes for the injection. I get a migraine every day, and as soon as I feel it coming on, I take a sumatriptan tablet. As you might guess, I too have been wondering if I am dependent on the medication! I would like to hear from others who use it as often as I do.
Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed me trazodone hydrochloride for anxiety, sumatriptan succinate for migraines, zopiclone for sleep, I've been told I can take the trazodone with zopiclone, but I have the new sumatriptan tablets, it says in the medical pamphlet that it is an MAO-A inhibitor and can't be taken with antidepressants/anxiety tablets. Would it be ok to take both the trazodone hydrochloride and the sumatriptin succinate together?

Avatar f tn tachycardia (or fast heart beat), labile blood pressure, dizziness, flushing, tremor, etc. Since you are also on Synthroid (or levothyroxine), you may experience faster heart rates if the dose is too high for you. I do not know if your heart rate readings are due to nortriptyline, combination with Synthroid, or something else. However, I strongly recommend for you to consult your provider as soon as possible.

Avatar m tn I suffer the same, it is because just after masturbating blood pressure hits your brain with a storm, you can feel heart thumping after orgasm. Avatar n tn They will come often, mostly a constant pressure that will build up now and again for weeks or months at a time, with short reprieves for a month or two. It's like a jabbing pain over my right eye that quickly becomes like a vise around my head, like my brain is swelling and my head can't contain it. I can feel my blood throb in my head and it will feel like needles or a jackhammer to my head, causing me to be immobile, because if I move or even breathe, it will hurt terribly.

Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with anxiety (again), and told that all my symptoms were a manifestation of said anxiety. I was prescribed Sumatriptan, propanolol, and naproxen. The medication was working, but it didn't last long. My symptoms have worsened, to the point where i cannot go up the stairs without having to stop due to shortness of breath, pain in my heart, and weakness in my legs. I almost always feel a tightness in my chest, and any pressure on my chest causes pain.
Avatar m tn Headaches are not a symptom of hepatitis C. What pain relievers a person can take safely for people infected with hepatitis C depends upon what stage of liver disease the patient has. Many pain relievers are dangerous for persons with stage 4 liver disease (cirrhosis). NSAIDs can cause internal bleeding and kidney failure in people with cirrhosis. It doesn't appear that the cause of your husband's headaches have been diagnosed properly.
