Avatar m tn Weinig off tram day4 so far ive taken 3 tabs day 1 4 tabs day 2 2 tabs day 3 and none so far on day 4. As long as i can sleep tonight i think i may not need any more.
Avatar m tn Today is day 4 of my opana withdrawal!! Long story short, started using 7-8 months ago. A 40mg Opana would last a full day or two, but it got up to almost 4 40's a day! Your tolerance goes up through the roof with this. When that wasn't available i would use anywhere from 240-360 mgs oxycodone daily. My wallet is gone, and recently told my family about these problems. Today is Day 4 of no opana/oxy, but have had the aid of suboxone.
1460021 tn?1445735958 m currently trying to get off subs, I had a little problems jumping from 8 to 6 but then I dropped from 6 to 4 and 4 to 2 then jumped off I was fine the first 4 days. The physical withdrawal was not that bad for me at all. It was the emotional withdrawal that hit me like a ton of bricks on day 5 I didn't make it I couldn't take the depression it was unbearable. I didn't get diahrea, I slept fine just took a benagdreyl at night and it actually helped a bit.
2117997 tn?1339537769 Good morning all. I am on day 4 with no pills. day 3 using Suboxone. I woke up feeling no need for anything. No cravings no nothing. Just a new morning. I have been reading alot and I think I will continue on the suboxone for a little while and work on why I started the pills etc... in the first place. Thanks again for everyones support,(especially you Jackie!). Have a great day and for those just starting out too, stay strong and believe. You can do this.
Avatar f tn I have been on Suboxone 16mg a day for 4 weeks and I am ready to get off. Will I have withdrawal symptoms if I quit cold turkey?
Avatar f tn I am in my 5th day of suboxone and feel great. I was or am addicited to opiates and have been for 5 yrs. I was taking 20 (10mg) vicodins a day. I had to be in full withdraw to be put on suboxone. I went 30hours before my first suboxone dose. The wd were so bad, it was actual HELL. I never plan on goin thru WD again. Heres the problem......after reading some of these forums...Im scared to death. Did I just get off one drug and on to another??
Avatar m tn ve been on suboxone for 17 days as of today. the first day i took a total of about 4 mg (1 mg at a time - 4 times in that day). the past week or so i've been taking 1 mg in the am and 1 mg around 5 pm i only have about 3 mgs left so that's about two more days. will i experience any withdrawal symptoms after taking such small doses a day for almost 3 weeks? if so, what should i expect?
1253584 tn?1332877954 If withdrawal symptoms have not worsened or have improved within 2 to 4 hours after the first dose of SUBOXONE or SUBUTEX, an additional 4-mg dose of SUBOXONE or SUBUTEX is recommended. Clinicians have reported prescribing a third dose (2-4 mg) to be taken later in the evening if needed for withdrawal symptoms.
Avatar f tn Hey, have been dependant on methadone/ suboxone /subutex /methadone for 13 years. I returned to methadone as was best option during pregnancy.(fortunately baby had no withdrawal symptoms). Haven't used heroin for about 5 years but so scared of withdrawal, thought i would be on one of the above for life. Baby now 19mths & have been withdrawing slowly so can still fulfill parental (single). I am currently on 4mg and have conflicting info regarding what to do next.
Avatar f tn Just be patient...I felt the same frustration withdrawing from Suboxone...thought I would never feel better...but you WILL I promise...I'm on day 32 and finally going down the other side of that mountain...feeling a lot better...the fatigue still comes and goes...but I do have more energy. I remember a post I read when I first started coming here that said...
Avatar m tn That way you will at least be able to get some rest before going back to work on day 3 or 4. I went back on day 4 and it was hard but I did it with the awesome people here talking me through it. Best of luck and do keep posting.
4653043 tn?1357602278 Hi guys. :) This is my first day on this forum. I need some emotional support! I'm on day 1 of percocet withdrawal and I know it's only going to get worse. I've been on about 80mg/day for 8 months. I just am looking for an idea of what to expect: a) how many days am I going to be "down for the count" and unable to return to work, and b) what are the typical things I can expect, and finally c) which day(s) are going to be the worst?
Avatar n tn Can anyone tell me if they quit suboxone @ 2 mg / day and how long w/d lasted, and how bad it was.
Avatar f tn I would have never thought after six weeks you could still feel like day one of withdrawal. So my other question is how is Suboxone withdrawal compared to methadone withdrawal.
Avatar f tn Day 11 withdrawal just wanted to let everyone know of many dark days. Today was a good day. I stayed busy and thats what Ill continue to do. I forgot what I did before pills. But I know one thing I am not a homebody. I was always on the go and I will continue to be on the go :). I can sooo do this!!! I felt happy feelings today so something in my brain is working right. God is great!!!
Avatar f tn Hello, I am 27 years old and I have been addicted to roxycodone for 2 1/2 years due to back injury. Today is my first day taking Suboxone and I was told that I should be off the suboxones after 2 weeks. But what about withdrawl? Wont I withdraw after stoppping the suboxone? I am so scared. I have no mom or dad or family or friends. I am utterly all alone. I hope that this will not affect my recovery. Any pointers or kind words? I appreciate it.
Avatar f tn I tapered down Suboxone over a matter of a months or 2 after being on 24mg's a day for a year or so then quit then waited like 3-4 days for the withdrawal to start and took Clonopin for a week or so after and stopped that then slept for a few days and now I'm feeling fine and haven't touched either of them in about 3 weeks-1 month and can feel my motivation coming back and everything I can finally be apart of my family instead of being locked up in my room withdrawaling.
Avatar m tn I was on lortab 10/500 15 a day for 4 years. I took 4 days of 4mg subs. NO MORE then that was it. I had a headache and was tired. No diarrhea no vomiting no crawling skin no sleepless nights. But I will tell you I've come off everything with little to no withdrawls. Alcohol, cigarettes, meth. But I'd heard it takes 4 days to get the pills out if your system. And 4 days is not enough to be addicted to the subs. I'm sure people will disagree with me.
217599 tn?1202850952 So at 4 mg of suboxone will actually cover approx 98% of the opiod receptors in your brain which is why you will not withdrawal and because of the ceiling effect of suboxone with is also 4 mg you will not get high for the first 2 days you might feel a little buzz but that goes away fast because you only have to take such a low does because being the ceiling effect is 4mg nomore than 4 mg is going to have any effect on you it will only make the med last longer im just assuming you know what i me
Avatar n tn I jumped at 1mg and had some pretty severe withdrawal for a while. Im told that the withdrawal lasts so long coming off suboxone due to the long half life-- It stays in your system for a while after you take your last dose. I wont lie to you - it may be really tough the first 2 weeks. I found medhelp on day 8 and posted a panicked message not unlike yours begging anyone to tell me how long. And many came by to help thankfully.
Avatar f tn Hi ! Is there anything I can take ( meds) to help me with suboxone withdrawal. I'm taking 2mg.I was taking 8mg for 4 m.
Avatar m tn In my opinion he needs to fill 1 rx of Suboxone and do a taper down from where is where he is. This may be a 20-30 day taper period but to me it seems like he stopped the Subs before they normalized his brain. Again I am no Dr but have spend man days reading and writing on this board. If he was smart enough to to to detox so quickly why is he not gving the subs a chance to work. Just an fyi subs have a half way life of about 37 hours in our body.
Avatar n tn congrats on 3 days, Ive been over 90 days off of oxy,my use was massive, the withdrawal felt like I was dying and often wished I would, for me 3 days was the hump, felt great on day 4, then day 5-7 were bad again, but after that it seemed to get better, consider na, because I know for me, if im left alone ill talk myself into using
Avatar f tn Hey I was wondering if anyone knew if while I was trying to withdrawal from methadone. I started to use my DOC again and I am going to try a withdrawal using small amounts of suboxone for 3-4 days and then nothing. A friend is locking me in his house (he is a nurse) and going to try and help me.
Avatar n tn The idea is the patch keeps you from feeling the effects of the suboxone withdrawal. My Doctor said it takes on average three months for suboxone to leave the blood stream. In my case it took longer. I've been off suboxone since may 2008, and off fentanyl since august 2008. I'm still a wreck, fatigue, loose stoole, depression, anxiety, insomnia, constant sneezing, stuffy nose, watery eyes, etc....I've been off of everything for one month, and things got worse before they got better.
Avatar m tn I began taking 30mg percocets last May. I got pretty deep, and ended up taking between 5-7 a day, sniffing them. I lost a lot due to them, including a girlfriend that I thought I loved, and ultimately a job. Basically, I finally realized around January or February of this year that I needed to get off, so I started taking suboxone when I was withdrawing. I withdrew from the percs for 2 days, but legitamately felt death coming on, so I took a half of an 8 mg sub.
1054484 tn?1255113567 Over the years, many have taken the medication to avoid withdrawal symptoms from their drug of choice only to find later that the withdrawal from suboxone is much worse than if they had just gone through the withdrawal originally. I think suboxone has it's place, but the casual pain killer abuser should think twice before starting a sub regiment.
