Avatar m tn I am no doctor or anything but I also was on adderall for years until my addiction with pain medication took control of my life my suboxone doctor told me that adderall and suboxone taken together are like using cocaine and herion similar anyway. My suboxone doctor refused to prescribe the adderall until I had tapperd off the suboxone.
Avatar f tn Hey everyone, I have been a suboxone patient for about a year and a half now. I have had no cravings at all whatsoever for opiates or anything to go back and be a user. I had my daughter during this process and was prescribed subutex, which I thought worked well too. Between the time that I had gotten pregnant and had my daughter I had feelings of no sex drive, no motivation, no ''gusto'', etc.

760131 tn?1238217597 For sure you dont want to cold turkey of the suboxone, its best to taper down especially when your still at 16mgs/day. With the adderall, I only have some brief experiences with it, but I never had a problem when I quit. But I know of many people who have had problems, its an amphetamine, so its very addictive. Hopefully some more people come by with more experience with adderall, Im not sure what the safest way to detox off.
Avatar f tn why would you doctor have you on adderall and suboxone at the same time? adderall is a stimulant and suboxone is to help you get of drugs? and I really didn't know what to say.
Avatar f tn I was doing great with the Suboxone and never once touched an opiad since being on it. Please help me stop the Adderall. I truly appreciate everyone's advice and suggestions. Thank you for listening.
621290 tn?1226720261 im on xanax, adderall, & suboxone... My pharmacist said I should try to avoid taking xanax & suboxone at the same time but its fine if there a couple hrs apart, & not to take them together at night time. Its hard on your heart/body when you take uppers & downers together.
Avatar f tn Hello fishersnana. There is a movie you should watch. Actually it is a documentary. It is called, "The Finger of God" produced by Darren Wilson. You can watch the entire film on youtube in 10 parts. Remember that when you watch this film, you are no different than anyone on there. We are all the same. On another note, You should applaud yourself for getting clean. If you can get clean, there is nothing that you can not overcome.
Avatar f tn t know how to help them so the psychiatrist just continues giving it to them along with adderall. They say they have ADHD and that is why they need adderall. However, I am very suspicios of this as well because they use to also be addicted to cocaine, and I know adderall can give you a high similar to cocaine. What kind of treatment is available and is there any financial aid?
Avatar m tn t stick to your receptors? Can you go ahead and take suboxone the next day and keep on with your maintenance or do you have to wait until withdrawal to start sub again even though you never felt the opiates and they were never able to bind to your receptors? I was under the impression suboxone wipes all the opiates out of your system, and unless you wait long enough after your last suboxone (24-72 hours) dose you will not be able to feel anything from opiates.
7416717 tn?1390769898 Does anyone take or has taken adderall with suboxone? My dr says no! The dr who gives me my adderall says that there is no problem with it. I have taken it for almost 20 years. My dr is not one of those pill pushers either. He is very concerned & cautious. When i had to change dr's because of a move, he lowered my dose from 30mg to 20mg. Im just wondering what any of your dr's out there are saying about adderall if any of you were on it.
7297821 tn?1390603432 ve come off of suboxone twice before but this was a long time ago before I was dependent on Adderall. If I run out of my script too soon (from taking for than I should) I sleep for days. Basically I was curious if anyone has been in my situation and can give me their opinion on how I should go about getting off Suboxone and Addderal, and which one to go with first. Any advice is much appreciated!
Avatar f tn from the time i dropped out of school to now i basically have always been taking opiates whether it was pain killers or since i’ve been on suboxone. since tapering off suboxone and somewhat having a ‘clear head’ for the first time in years ive noticed my add symptoms are much more noticeable. i fear that i will loose my job if i don’t treat my add because of my forgetfulness and inability to complete a task (flat rate diesel tech so time is a big issue as well).
Avatar f tn Is it safe to take 30mgs of adderall, 4-8mgs of Xanax and 4-6mg of suboxone a day?
Avatar f tn Wow, this topic has gone all over with no one really referring to your post. I take suboxone and adderall. Four years on both and don't plan to stop. I have chronic pain from fibromyalgia, and did not do well on opana and adderall as I wound up directly in the mental ward. My life has completely changed since my first suboxone dose. My head is clear, memory coming back, I can get out of bed now.
Avatar f tn I was clean and sober for 13 years, then relapsed on percocet. Got clean, but then my addiction doc recommended adderall. sincee then i'm taking more and more. now i'm taking at least 90 milligrams a day, along with clonopin and suboxone to calm down. i'm worse off than when i went to detox. and i don't know what to do. is it possible to gradually come off adderalll? oh, i also have ambien for sleep, which i don't abuse. the only one i abuse is the adderall.
Avatar f tn //www.rxlist.com/suboxone-side-effects-drug-center.htm Here's a side effect list for Adderall. https://www.rxlist.com/adderall-side-effects-drug-center.htm It's important to note that each person is different in terms of what they experience. These are general lists of what someone 'could' experience in terms of side effects. These medications are not usually prescribed together.
Avatar m tn Marijuana use heavy for 15yrs(beat it) heavy pain med abuse was beat with suboxone and beat it(tough but I did) now adderall has become an issue. How much is this going to differ?
Avatar m tn As far as the psych meds, do you abuse them or take them as prescribed with positive effect? Adderall is a trade name of amphetamine, lots of people party with it. Ativan is a trade name of lorazepam, a benzodiazapine that many people abuse as well, and really should not be prescribed with subs. These meds also help many people. What do you think about them?
Avatar n tn I'm in my mid 30's, and a new friend that I met several months ago is always sneaking off to pop various pills - mostly she's got Adderall, Xanax, Alprazolam, Suboxone 8mg, lexapro, roxicet, and a few others that aren't in any packaging. What would be signs of abuse? Sometimes she seems very out of it altogether, and it can take her a long time to put her thoughts together & spit the words out, and other times she acts very normal. She drinks alcohol daily.
Avatar f tn Hi everybody! I was reading through the posts and comments. I just came home 2 days ago from rehab. I was only able to stay 1 night. My insurance would not cover my stay to detox due to the amount of suboxone I take a day. I tapered myself down to 2mg or less a day. I have been on suboxone for 5 years and adderall for 4 years. So here I am...day 3 detoxing at home. I haven't had any major symptoms yet. I'm just very anxious. I'm not sure what to expect. Has anybody been through this?
673186 tn?1225983925 I personally tried severalk times my first two years if college and I never had taken more than 30 ngs and that seemed like a very high dose and i gotwith very jittery and a huge efffect. A few months ago I was diagnosed with ADHD and instead of Adderall I tried Strattera knowing my addictive personality and past with drug abuse.
Avatar m tn As deb asked, are all your doctors on board with this?
Avatar m tn recovering drug addict with 3 years clean with the help of Paxil, Suboxone and Xanax. I'll prescribed by the same Doctor Who is aware of my past addiction issues. I myself wanted to cut out the benzo's and went for a proper diagnosis and sure enough my instincts were correct. Diagnosis: OCD, ADHD, ASD. The last is a new one called autism spectrum disorder in the old DSM-IV it would've been called Asperger syndrome.
6601982 tn?1383751336 I hate to be the bearer of bad news but expect that to continue for quite some time. I think a fat lower dose of suboxone with a correspondingly lower dose of adderall (subject to change given severity of ADD symptoms is a good place to begin. In smaller doses over found (over 14yrs)that the benefit from their proper use is unmatched. I function enough on those meds to have completed my Degree in Psychology in 2012...but without them I can barely function socially or privately.
Avatar f tn It feels like forever since I've been here! I was last posting I think when I was trying to kick my hydro habit, I was clean for awhile and ended up falling back into it, ultimately getting into methadone and finally went on suboxone about 4 months ago.
Avatar m tn m in pain management if I had enough suboxone id take my norcos in excess til I ranout then take my suboxone again, now its got to be a choice sooner or later for me the choice came when I was broke and scared and hopeless I couldn't do it anymore, if the consequenses alone are not enough for you to stop then you won't stop until u hit bottom, and its a ****** hard climb back up, get on suboxone checkout the suboxone official website they offer doctor locations for u via zip code as well
Avatar n tn have an addiction to percocet but have been doing well..Started taking suboxone a year ago..Came off 1/4 of a 2mg and was feeling pretty bad with withdrawls ..to my surprise!! So I took percocet 4 a week, and 2 pills 4 x a day.. of 10/325.. Now tis is 48 hours and I am in terrible wd's!!
