Avatar f tn Hey. Someone on here told me about a website where I could find Doctors in my area who will subscribe suboxone.....Unfortunently I cant remember the name of the Site, or the person who gave it to me. Anyone know? My boyfriend was planning on trying to get in to see a Doctor to get them tomarrow, but now I've read on hear that Suboxone is addictive as well and am hessitant now....Is it worth the risk?
Avatar n tn Not all doctors can prescribe Suboxone. I forget the website, but you can probably Google it and go to the suboxone website, and I believe they have a doctor locator on there. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn I am glad i did because once i found this website and starting reading about suboxone, i learned that suboxone has its own nasty withdrawal and it lasts longer then vicodin. My final quit was cold turkey and so far so good. I really think most of this in mental. Once you remove as much fear as possible, and take it a day at a time, it becomes doable. Reading and posting on this website seriously saved my life. You can do this!
Avatar n tn My husband found my doctor for me. I think you have to go on a Suboxone website and see who prescribes it in your area. I could be wong though. I know there is somebody on this board that can correctly answer your question, but in the mean time, try googling Suboxone doctors. Hope this helps...
Avatar m tn Breaking a pill up into crumbs is not accurate enough to use for a suboxone taper. There ARE ways to do it. Be sure to read the section on that website about taper. They have a taper calculator that can help you design a custom taper schedule. If you would like some help I'd be glad to assist you with some choices. I used suboxone 'off the street' when I could not longer afford other street drugs. I was totally ignorant of the drug and the consequences of using it.
Avatar f tn The manufacturer of Subutex just announced that they are discontinuing distribution and sale of Subutex® tablets as they believe that “mono product (product containing buprenorphine alone with no naloxone) creates a greater risk of misuse, abuse and diversion, and while other mono product may be available on the market”, they are concentrating their “efforts around less abusable products in order to protect patients, communities and access to treatment”.
Avatar f tn he is addicted to heroin. all painkillers but heroin too. he isnt on suboxone right now. id prefer suboxone (i mean, id prefer HIM to be on suboxone) but honestly, we cannot afford it. methadone is cheaper......suboxone docs want TONS of money upfront...i mean like $900-$1,500 and that isnt going to happen.
480035 tn?1222366164 i called a dr. yesterday that was listed on the suboxone website. he told me i had to taper down to 100 something mgs from 400-500 mgs of oxy before he can see me, I can wait anymore i want off this stuff.
1200909 tn?1306815081 I am 18 days clean today with the help of my new best friend Suboxone! Minus having no energy I feel GREAT! I am so glad that I decided to go the Suboxone route! I just wanted to share that I was clean!
Avatar m tn If you go to the suboxone website you can enter your zip code and it will show you all the doctors in your area that are able to prescribe suboxone.
Avatar m tn salsinator is correct, you can only get that medication from a licensed suboxone prescribing doctor and that website will help you. I was prescribed suboxone for nearly 3 years after a 5 year addiction to oxycontin. This medication saved me. Now I am off the suboxone and am doing great. It has been about 3 months since I've taken any opiate. Try to find that doctor, I assure you if you stick to the docs plan it will help you.
Avatar f tn Suboxone is a class C medication meaning that it has not been shown to be safe or harmful in pregnancy. This is from the Suboxone website: Before taking SUBOXONE, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. If you become pregnant while taking SUBOXONE, alert your doctor immediately as there may be significant risks to you and your baby; your baby may have symptoms of withdrawal at birth.
Avatar m tn I've been on suboxone a lil over 2years. I was addicted to Laura tabs and opanas for about a year and a half. I wanted to try and get clean but the withdrawals was too much seeing I worked 40+ hours around the clock so my buddy hooked me up with a couple of subs saying they would help me get off opiates which they did but I slowly started to get addicted to the suboxone. Next thing I know I'm buying them every week off the street.
Avatar n tn t been here in a long time but obviously I am back for a reason...and this time I am way worse then before...I am wondering about suboxone if anyone has been through the process of getting a doctor for it please help me...i just have a few questions....is it hard to get a doctor to give it to you? And will they ask about my kids or call DCF for me trying to quit??
Avatar f tn You sound like you are able to function and if you are running out of the suboxone, and you want to continue, go to the suboxone website and they will be able to find a doctor in your area. That way you will not only be getting the help with the withdrawals but you will be getting counseling to see why you started in the first place. Let me know if that was what you needed to know. If not repost the question and we'll try to help you out.
Avatar n tn My husband got prescribed to take Subutex right after he finished with suboxone. He tried to get off suboxone but he started having mental cravings and body aches. He went to see a doctor and the doctor prescribed him subutex and that it should be easier for him to get off this way. Both drugs are quite different but I dont understand why he wasn't given the subutex in the beginning. The problem he had was he used to take hydrocodene pills like 15 a day for a year.
Avatar n tn Try their website, I think they have a link to a database of doctors who prescribe sub.
Avatar n tn Go to the official suboxone website. I think it is turntohelp.com . Google it. They have a toll free number that will answer your question. I called and they told me the half life was 371/2 hours. So, I would IMHO, think that after 3 to 4 days you should be fine, just some w/d from the subs that aren't too pretty so I hear, I am a subber too. good luck. You are on a very low dose though so maybe it wont be too bad!
1800740 tn?1324237171 Can you tell me what milligram dosage suboxone he will prescribe for a 30 mg per day methadone user. Suboxone is very expensive & if I need more than 8mg per day I can't afford it in addition to the cost of the dr. visits.
Avatar n tn Since we are a group of members from all over the world, you will have to do your search on your own for the doctor. Go to the Suboxone website and they have a section to help you locate a doctor. Please be certain that, before starting the program, you have done research and fully understand what you are getting into. Good luck.
1543577 tn?1293396620 Hey Becka, Sounds like you have things pretty well lined up, so great to hear it, happy for you...you sound very well balanced. Absolutely, a slow taper is the only way to go if you don't want bad wds. And you and your doctor can come up with exactly how it should be done. If he's the prescribing doctor for the subs, than by law he has to be educated on addiction and the medication. I only know that from doing more research myself..
822153 tn?1333062995 He could not handle his cravings for loratabs with the use of suboxone. Suboxone has reduced his cravings to the point where they are manageable. I am concerned about substituting one drug for another. In the long run he will have to be taken off suboxone it is working right now. I will send you a message with more details.
1800740 tn?1324237171 My suboxone doctor has me on a fairly slow taper. I am at 2 mgs now and he wants me to jump off completely around Christmas. Since I was on a low dose of methadone (30 mgs. per day) before I went to suboxone, he seems to think it will be quite easy for me. In December, I will have been on suboxone for a year. Meanwhile, I'm reading horror stories about suboxone withdrawal. Do you think I will have an easy time during wds?
Avatar n tn s a wealth of great info on this website as well, so please take advantage. You can use the suboxone to get you into recovery but recovery is not just taking suboxone. Good luck to you!
Avatar n tn She has had very few w/d symptoms since first dose of suboxone. A website that might help you is www.EverythingComingUpMethadone. They have alot of advice for people who are on Methadone and Suboxone. Actual accounts from patients who are currently taking these meds. I hope this helped some. Good Luck and let me know if it helps. Take care and remember ONE DAY AT A TIME !!
