suboxone

Avatar m tn Then from time to time I would get one from a friend and take one recreationally. Then my wife started liking them and motivated her to clean house. We never obtained any illegally but once or twice a month we would take one on a Saturday and clean house for 5 hours. These things rock!. We were relocated for work to another state. I neighbor, which was also a good friend in our old hometown, was buying them from the cleaning lady. So we would get some and take them recreationally.
Avatar m tn I am tring to find a doctor to help me get off of them.. I have been on suboxone before and it worked well. so i either wanted that or somethng else that will work.
Avatar f tn I have secretly been taking suboxone for about 2 years and now I am having breathing problems but I can't stop taking it is there something else I can take that won't hurt my breathing or a way to take it without it messing up my breathing?
Avatar n tn than the importance of staying away from suboxone even over methadone heres why, Suboxone or bueponorphine has been proving over and over to caus a long term withwrawl known as paws or post acute withdrawl syndrome. never befor have I seen this phenom continue longer than a year as I have with patients that innocently tried suboxone to quit! I use a fast acting narc that comes down .5 mg a week or 10 days.
Avatar m tn Just a little history I used 30 mg Oxycodone recreationally for about 3 yrs. taking about 2-5 30 mg pills a day the last 6 mnths until I got on Suboxone treatment which is when I found out I was pregnant shortly after starting. I decided I wanted to taper off the Suboxone in hopes of being totally off of it before I delivered.
Avatar m tn I have been taking Oxy recreationally... max i ever did was 3 80mg/ in 24 hrs... i do it just for the high/fun of it ( i know, bad idea ) -- withdrawls are horrible, but i've learned to deal with it when i decide to stop taking it for a while, hell of a pain in the arse, i've withdrawn probably 10 times from it, quit for a few weeks/month or two..).
Avatar m tn I know everyone is going to say they are meant to be disolved and they dont work that way.. Well thats how i always took suboxone when I did it recreationally before, and well i didnt catch as good as a buzz doing it this way, it saved me from puking cause of the nasty taste....So i dissolved the 1 and a half tablets and drank away. well if anything my legs got achey and the nausea didnt go away.. im starting to think it might have been a stomach bug.
Avatar m tn My story is similiar to all of yours. Snorting about 6 15mg opanas a day along with 10-20 percs/hydros a day. Today is day 2 for me on Suboxone & I feel great. No withdrawls, I am sleeping & have energy. So far none of the horrible anxiety & depression that goes along with the WDs. My only question is, I was told the suboxone would make the cravings go away but so far that hasn't been the case. I still want my pills badly.
Avatar f tn Listen, it all depends on you but I have found that the best thing for me is suboxone. Look up under google suboxone doctors in your area and make the phone call. They will not be shocked cause they have heard it all before. It will stop the withdrawals and it will get the thought out of your head. I didn't want to quit either but I could tell that it was killing me and I tried cold turkey and wanted to die. Trust me, it will help you!!
Avatar m tn the psychiatrist wanted to keep my on the Suboxone explaining that it is very possible that I may still be on the Suboxone when I had the baby and he could be in withdraw. Even though I wanted to be off of it before he was born, the Dr. did not want me to stress it and said we would do a steady taper, basically he would give me my 2 weeks of meds and I would decide if I wanted to take less. If I did but felt withdraw then there would be extra to compensate.
Avatar m tn After being normal again for another year... I started taking percocet on the weekends recreationally. I was able to take them one or two here or there and be fine the next day, but eventually i took a lot one weekend and was feeling withdrawals during the week. They aren't bad and I don't get dipressed like I did when I first went through them. As a reult of work, I would take the suboxone Monday and Tuesday to alleviate the W/D symptoms.
965428 tn?1322771224 I have been on both roller coasters and have experienced W/D from vicodin and suboxone. The w/d from the suboxone is 100 times worse than the vocodin. A typical w/d from a regular opiate will last 5-7 days with 3-4 days being the worst. Suboxone withdrawal just keeps on going, after 4 days it kept getting worse and not better. Personally, I would not recommend Suboxone to anyone unless they were planning on staying on it for good.
Avatar f tn I have left myself eight days to be clean. But was not feeling well so I got some suboxone. Tuesday 4mg Wednesday 3mg Thursday 2mg Friday 1mg - Today I have none for tomorrow and am scared of the withdrawal. I have doctor prescibed valium for another problem. Should I get more subutex? Will it show in my urine. I was trying to stop it before the urine test.
Avatar f tn And, congrats on the smoking thing.. I am STILL trying to get over that vice.. Yes, suboxone is a painkiller. Suboxone is one part buprenephrine (strong opiate) and one part naloxene (opiate blocker) so you are feeding yourself an opiate - thereby alleviating withdrawal, but blocking any of the 'high' you would feel off any other painkiller. Good luck and remember -you can do this!
Avatar m tn m with you on just about all of what you said. To go from Hydrocodone to Suboxone in retrospect seems absurd to me. Suboxone is many times more potent and the fact that one is reduced to 1 or 2 bowel movements a week another tragedy..Well I'm heading off it.
1462531 tn?1287846753 (Or it felt like it) Stayed clean for about six months and thought that I could use them again recreationally. WRONG! Ended up right back on them. Stepped off the pills again and taking myself to about 1mg of suboxene a day. Know the sub. is giving me problems. I am trying to stop. My question to everyone is will you please support me and help me with my addiction. Thanks everyone.
Avatar m tn Before that I was using them recreationally...like once a month for about a year. Needless to say in the past few months it has gotten out of hand. I have gone through minor withdrawls a few times (when I have used for a week or more straight), and other times that I stopped using for a few days, I might not have physical withdrawls, but definitely mental. So I have decided I need to stop doing this before it gets out of hand. The toughest part for me is the mental cravings.
Avatar m tn I loved how they made me feel and over the next couple years would use them recreationally from time to time. Well the last year of my life has been stressful and I turned to the pain pills, Vicodin to be exact. I started small, developed a tolerance, then ended up weaning myself off a few times. Then I came across poppy tea (I hope that is okay to talk about here) with is basically morphine and codeine.
668516 tn?1225503384 I found this doctor lady who was a script writter for Suboxone, I saw her for 4 dam years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear I could be down to 16mg and tell her i wanted to go back up to 32mg and she would ok it! I want to report her, so one day I ran out early and she cut me off cold turkey after 4 years!
994981 tn?1249564028 re in withdrawals enough to start using Suboxone. The second thing you should know is that when you are ready to get off of Suboxone, you will have to go through withdrawal symptoms then too. However, if you read a bunch of horror stories on the internet about Suboxone withdrawals, don't let them get you too discouraged. I know quite a few people who have successfully tapered off of Suboxone. It's ******, but it can be done. The biggest issue is the insomnia.
Avatar f tn s your bodies way of ridding itself of the toxins and rebalancing proper histamine levels, May I ask what your dope habit was like? How much - how often - how many habits - did you ever use Suboxone or Methadone recreationally or otherwise? This will give us a better idea of where your at. I was on heroin/Methadone for almost 30 yrs. So, I can tell you that it gets a lot harder down the line. Now is the time to make this stick. Do you have any support system?
Avatar m tn What if you are taking suboxone and try to take opiates within 24 hours after your last sub dose and of course you don't feel the effects of the opiates because the suboxone in your body blocked it? Do the opiates stay in your body or just get flushed out since they can't stick to your receptors?
Avatar m tn especially sense my father was an alcoholic and used different drugs recreationally. I live in an urban area of newyork where there are a lot of drugs at your finger tips. i still was able to stay off of drugs thru the worst times of my life. In November of 2007 i was in a car accident. i injured 3 discs in my back, i was in horrible pain, at that time i was perscribed hydrocodone 10mg i took a half of one 2x a day at first if i needed it at all.
995438 tn?1251758280 Hi hun, if I read your other post correctly, you are taking Suboxone? Please let me tell you my "first hand experience" is because I have a daughter that is/was addicted to oxy, so it is not my own personal experience. However she is 22 and began using when she was 20 and other than being in treatment centers, she has been with me. When she started Suboxone, she went into in-patient rehab (her 3rd time) but the Suboxone really allowed her to focus on treatment....

Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone has successfully detoxed using a short suboxone taper? I have 5 8mg subs and want to ween off as ast as possible. I am on day four with no opiates and feel really good considering. I took only 4mg of sub today and plan on cutting that in half the next couple days. I was using 300-400 mg of oxycodone a day for 6 months and used recreationally for about a year.
Avatar n tn So heres my story..I am a 24 year old male whose been doing pain killers recreationally for over a year now (i know stupid!!). I was a college athlete and began experimenting with percocet after college when the real world set in. I started experimenting with 30 mg percs a couple of times a week until recently I have been doing 2/3 30mg percs a day. About a month ago I quit CT and was clean for about a week and a half.
Avatar f tn Hi all out there - want to start by saying this has been a huge help by reading other's posts. My husband is an addict - plain and simple. Had issues with cocaine in his 20's - even went to prison for 7 years. Needless to say, about 4 years ago, he started "playing" with percocets recreationally. Things have excalated to oxy's and roxy's. Now at 40, due to work and play - he has arthritis.
