Suboxone rapid detox

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone rapid detox

suboxone

Avatar f tn rapid detox has recently come under fire due to some facilities being unregulated and not adhering to safety measures. The Waismann Method is vastly different than any other rapid detox treatments because of their high safety protocols. 1) they perform in-patient in the ICU of a JCAHO accredited full service hospital.
Avatar f tn Problem with rapid detox is it does nothing for the mental addiction which is the hardest part. I hope your brother continues his aftercare. He will need it to stay clean. How much did it cost? I've heard it's very expensive.
Avatar m tn Getting off drugs and staying clean is 95% of the program. Rapid detox does not cure the mental aspect of this disease. Rapid detox from what Ive learned from this site is also very expensive, controversial and not as effective. You have to do the work-work the program or some program involving aftercare to maintain sobriety. I work my program every day. I have learned and come to terms with my addiction and that its a lifelong battle.
Avatar n tn since that time, I have tried to get back on Sub. I waited 20 hours and thought I was ready but when I took the suboxone I went into rapid WD. I was stuck out of town and did not get home for about 10 hours. I thought that I was dying. The first thing I did when I got home was use again, I could not stand the pain. My question is, after I went into acute WD would it have been better to take another dose of Sub? I was afraid to. If you are pushed into rapid WD, what do you do?
Avatar n tn what is everyones opinion of doing a rapid detox for opiates....I recieved a response from another post that stated in was not proven / risky?
Avatar n tn but my problem with rapid detox is that opiate dependence is a life-long problem, and rapid detox addresses the easiest part of addiction- getting through the physical withdrawal. Many people, particularly those in early stages of addiction, think that if they can only get through withdrawal all will be well... but those in late addiction will attest that the physical withdrawal is not the biggest problem.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know anything about rapid drug detox- the kind where they put you under anasthesia and detox the drug out of your system while asleep. I get the feeling it is a scam and can't find much online about it. I'm not concerned about the money, as they offer financing. I think it might work in the fact that it shortens your withdrawal period. Their website said that suboxone was one of the most common drugs they've been getting people off of.
Avatar m tn Five years ago, when Suboxone was first released, it was used mostly for 'quick detox'. Now it has been realized that most of those people simply kept using opiates, so most scripts are used for longer-term treatment. As for the method, different places did it differently; some would simply ask the person to come in after being in severe W/D, and give them a couple Suboxone to relieve their symptoms, then let the Suboxone slowly wear off.
Avatar f tn m going to the doctor to try the 21 day rapid Suboxone detox method. My question is has anyone out there ever done this method before and if so, how did it work for you? Please, if anyone could answer my question as quickly as possible, it would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Also I have been on opiates a total of 15yrs straight, the last two years have been Suboxone but most of that time was methadone. I went to rapid detox and when I came back I felt awesome for about two weeks, I was doing everything I wanted to do and then I started feeling the withdrawal from the methadone something fierce, it continually got worse each day and I made it six weeks and still felt like total death. No sleep and nothing but cringing when I moved from the air hitting my body.
Avatar m tn is it possible to do rapid detox for suboxone? Avatar m tn I have almost 3 weeks after my last Suboxone. I did the rapid detox and I am doing pretty good, other than I can smell everything, what is not so good. Strong smells are kinda of making me a bit sick.. Not sure if thats normal..Im sleeping well, eating well ( nothing that smells strong though) , getting some energy back, but this smell thing is weird. I have been putting Vicks is my nostrals so I dont smell other things. Any of you that went suboxone withdrawal felt this?
Avatar n tn I take 10-15/day for about the last two years and am ready to quit. I have a friend who has told me about rapid detox, but the doctor I go to has bad things to report about it. I am looking for any information BAD or good to try and make an informed decision on how to proceed with my detox. Thank you!
Avatar f tn Trying to taper down but doesn’t seem to happen. I’ve gone 4 days in detox even after 4 days suboxone did seem to touch the wd. I think it’s because of three long half life of fen. I’m switching to Oxycodone today in hopes of going from there to morphine sulfate and then to suboxone. I can get my hand on just about anything. However my patch habit it getting to expensive and I’m exhausting my suppliers. I can’t really go though a whole treatment program can’t leave work that long.
631581 tn?1224844661 I checked into this awhile back. The best one I found was the one in Las Vegas. They advertise that no one needs to know why you came to Vegas. The cost was $9800 and is done by a licensed Board certified Anesthesiologist. I read testimonials that said it worked - one guy was asleep for 10 hours and when he woke up they told him he was clean. He stayed in the hospital for 3 days and went home.
Avatar m tn My insurance did not cover it, but this program is about 1/3 the cost of the rapid detox. Rapid detox can be very dangerous because anesthesia is used and it is a huge shock to the system. Check out The Coleman Institute online - this is the place that I went. If you have any questions or want to chat with me - just message me - I am happy to share anything about my experience. I am on day 302 today and have never felt better.
Avatar f tn I started at 20 mg a day and over a period of three years I weaned down to 4 mg a day by October 2011. From there I began a rapid detox taking only a barely visible sliver of an 8 mg strip 1 or 2 times a day until my last strip was gone by December 5, 2011. The biggest problem was inability to sleep at night. I never stopped working my job and took ibuprofen to combat the symptoms. It took three or four months to be able to feel completely free of withdrawal symptoms.
Avatar n tn my son had a rapid detox and a naltrexone implant inserted, coming off a 75mg daily dose of methodone, a near death experience.
Avatar m tn Thank you. I was on 0.4 for 2 days today the chemist gave me 0.2. Has done nothing and still in rapid detox. And tomorrow I'm on 2 Valium for 2 days then nil. Yikes!!!
569676 tn?1315641158 I am not discrediting Weismann or other rapid detox companies themselves as I was taken very good care of rather the concept is the issue... I underwent many blood tests EKG's medical history forms and whatnot two days prior to the procedure. I was checked into the hospital the night before, and given a morphine drip to hold back wd's. I guess they do this so they can monitor my drug intake for 24 hours prior. I was taken down to the ICU at 0900.
1401943 tn?1305279043 Do you know of any place that will accept methadone detoxs? Have you heard of Rapid detox and what do you think? I am 26years old and have a 3 and 1/2 year old son. I want another child but dont want to be on methadone! i am so depressed with myself that i was stupid enough to use in the first place to get myself in this situation! i want to be able to wake up everyday not sick and live a "normal" life!
1800740 tn?1324237171 I practice a different type of narcotic detox and a talk about it in my blog about the rapid drug detox, as well as other blogs. Take a look at them as well as my website www.mdsdrugdetox.com. I strongly believe in simply getting clean and staying clean once and for all. Especially look an the Naltrexone implant that can keep you from both physical and psychological craving. We also can use Vivitrol injection instead. You can have your life back and fast.
