suboxone on drug test

I just started on suboxone and my doctor drug tests me regularly. The first test I took I tested positive for opiates, but the results said "inconsistent" next to it. When the test was taken, it had been 8 days since my last dose so nothing should've shown up. What does the "inconsistent" result mean?

I had 3 different drug test this week and all were negative including a hair follicle test. But when I go to my suboxone Dr I seem to test for TCA the past 2 times Ive been there but when it's sent to the lab it comes back negative and the only thing in my system is suboxone. Idk if this helps anyone but for some reason i think the tests may have a defect. If it does it again my next office visit I will be questioning them about their tests.

I am about to try and get a job as an electrician and even though the oxy's I'm on right now are prescribed for tapering they can't hire me because they may inhibit my ability to do the job safely. I know they won't but anyway... Does suboxone show up as anything on a urine test for jobs and such? Basically I want to know if I can get a decent job on suboxone or should I go grab a spatula at wendy's till I'm off of them?

I did some reading and suboxone will not show up on a regular 10 or 12 panel drug screen, it takes a specific test that the ins co will have to specify to give, so I guess the question of the day is if your ins co has that test included as part of the drug screen.

my daughter is on suboxone. in her last drug screen she tested postive for opiates she said she was not taking should i beleive her?

Thanks guys I think I knew the answer before I asked... I just wanted a little re-enforcement. Joes urine test came up with oxy bummer we will move on though. I will talk to him about it tomorro, It only took me 8 or 10 hours to figure it out.

Iam bi-polar and was prescribed pristiq and abilify, after i went on the suboxone, which i did not tell the doc i was on. I took my first dose of the meds, the abilify and pristiq, (which i had been on before) and got deathly ill, for about 6 hours, then i felt drugged until the next day. I have not tryed it again. Iam only on the suboxone, but i want to get off of it, it has changed my life for the better, in every way, except the cost.

HI First off calm down it not unusual to get back a positive on those tests I tested positive for cocaine twice wile in the methadone program thew part that su cks is I had to pay 20 bucks for them to find out there test was in error they would also pull your takehomes until they cleared it up....did you start on anything new since your last drug test?? im not sure on lenista or abien but the rest shouldent make any difference let us know how this plays out good luck and God bless......

will suboxone show up on a standard employer drugs screen i heard it wont but not sure i was also wondering how often or common it is for employers to test for suboxone. I was always under the ***-u-mption that it had to be speicificley tested for. I was also trying find out if it would show on a standard mouth swab test if any one knows these anwsers and knows they are 100% true and proven please let me know it would mean the world to me thanks subman.

While I do have a script for my Lortabs taking any kind of narcotic is highly frowned upon and could cost me my job. Suboxone wont show up on the typical drug screen and I'm hoping this drug will allow me to continue to function at my job. Wish me luck. On most stardard drug tests, suboxone will not show up. You would have to specifically test for it. In the past, I was drug test several times when working in a hospital and it always came back clean.

First off suboxone is NOT an opiate, and will never come up as an opiate on a drug test.. Hello people the purpose is to get you off opiates not give you more.

I was on suboxone. It will take away w/d. You will not miss any work. You will probly get a promotion. It is a wonder drug if you ask me. Only thing DO NOT TAKE IT TO LONG (PAST 20 DAY'S) OR YOU WILL HAVE REAL BAD LONG LASTING W/D'S. Don't let that discourage you. It really works if done correct.

5/500 and coached my best soccer practice ever, yup back on the juice. Finally went back on Suboxone in August this year it is a Miracle drug at times, was able to function at high level, but not me' I want my Life back. Tried quitting Sub. went from 16 to 8 to 4 to 2 ( 1/4 of a tablet ) per day. Every time I tried to quit 1st 2 nights were OK than The Devil would come third night. Couldn't do it. I tried, Couldn't do it. Fought it, couldn't do it.

if my son took an opiate while taking his suboxone will he test positive for opiates on a reg 10 panel drug screen? since suboxone blocks opiates in body will it block it on urine UDS.

Suboxone will likely show up on a drug test. Be sure to show your employer that you have a valid prescription for the medication from your health care provider.

They havent took sub ever before but did for the first time on April 29 taking 2mg and on April 30 taking another 2mg, then never took it since. They have a drug test on May 28 and they are very nervous that this sub will show up. Does anyone know if the sub will be out of their system by then for a drug screen? It all depends on the type of test they would be testing you with! Most drug screenings test for all of them. But some places only test specifically for suboxone subutex and opiates. I would just call up to the doctor office and ask, u dont necessarily have to give them your name if u ask a generic question such as that!

THanks for the info, It doesnt show up on a 5 panel that includes testing for opiates, it has to be specially tested for and on the 10 panel they test for methadone and am worried that sub and methadone my show up the same on a test.

that is insane.....Suboxone doesn't usually show up on most standard drug tests.....but like sarah said ask the pharmacist...there r many different types of drug screens and advances r being made on a daily basis!

I have been on suboxone for almost two years. Everyones situation is different though. I dont know how much longer i will be on it,ut some people stay on it for a very long time. I personaly think the shorter the better. But everyone is different. If I were you i would set a goal and stick to it. But you have to do what is right for you.
