Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone ingredients

suboxone

Avatar n tn I have needed to use oxycontin for pain relief post-operatively. Prior to surgery (hip replacement) I had been on Suboxone program for 3 yrs. Now I'm trying to taper the oxy and getting dope-sick bad. MD says that the Oxy w/d is complicated by the Suboxone w/d (which had been masked by the Oxys.) If that makes any sense. My question is does anybody have experience with oxycontin taper? Reduce by how much for how long, etc?
3160774 tn?1343705010 Have been on Fentanyl patches 125/hr every 48 hours and 4-5 Percocet daily plus maybe 8 10mg Vicodin a day. How long before starting the Suboxone should I stop all of these meds. I have Clonidine for withdrawals how can it help. I am scared to death. Have never been in withdrawal from Opiates. I was told 36 hours prior but am so afraid of precipitated withdrawals. Has anyone been here that can give me some advice?
Avatar f tn I have never heard of Belbuca.....but im gonna google it now! Sub w/d, for me, was bad. The least amount of time you can stay on the subs the better, imo.

2094867 tn?1333064139 It works but you can buy all the ingredients you need separate and prob save 30-40$. Calcium magnesium zinc are very important. Vitamin b is good and a multivitamin.
Avatar n tn What is the difference between Subcutex and Suboxone? I have been on pain meds from Vicodin, Oxy, Pain Patches and currently on Norco as a result of a broken back which I had surgery (spinal fusion) 6 yrs ago. Off and on all the above pain meds according to the doctors. Nothing helps I have epidurals for pain but I am diabetic and the epidural causes havoc on my blood glucose. My pain Management physcian now is suggesting a Subcutex regime.
Avatar f tn If you read the ingredients its primarily the thomas recipe. The one thing that caught my eye was GABA, but I would recommend trying Phenibut for that. Its not a life saver but it does help some, just can't use it a lot because it can be habit forming. I still think the best for opiate detox is clonidine, that or going to a rehab where they taper using subs/methadone/etc (blind tapers are even better).
Avatar m tn I have been taking suboxone 2mg for 6 months and stopped taken them on Tuesday the November 2012, But I have not slept for two dats due my legss neeb restlewsws. Can any body help plreasder.
Avatar f tn Suboxone in also an opiate. Let me tell you about it. Suboxone is the brand name for a medication consisting of buprenorphine and naloxone. Buprenorphine is a thebaine derivative with powerful analgesia approximately 20-40x more potent than morphine.
1428440 tn?1287390379 I am really cleaner than I have been in my life, I am only on BP med, diabetic medication and suboxone. I am like off 10 pills all together and I love that I am not shoving all those pills in my mouth everyday. But I need help sleeping I have tried melatonin and over the counter sleep aids and no results. I am wondering if I could get some ideas on some natural things I could take to help with the sleep and the anxiety. I really hate to start taking another anti-anxiety pill again.
Avatar f tn Hey everyone, I've been using roxys for a few yrs now....I take about 2 30's a day. And I want and need to wean off them. I don't want to take suboxone bc I hear the withdrawals from that are worse than the roxys. Is there anything that can be taken over the counter to help with the symptoms? Cold turkey is a possible option...but I'd like to have something to help me not feel like complete **** during the process....also how long would it take?
874521 tn?1424116797 more 'interesting' reading....for us pet owners..... Disgusting, the FDA(as reported on the site) has determined that 'grocery store' pet food that labels ingredients of 'animal fat and bone meal' content to be likely from that of an EUTHANIZED ANIMAL. Am I reading this correctly???? Are euthanized animals being used as a 'meat' source by pet food company's? http://www.truthaboutpetfood.com/articles/whats-your-opinion-are-these-a-pet-food.
Avatar f tn Your physician did not do you any favors by putting you on a maintenance dose Suboxone. Suboxone does allow you to function, however when it was approved as a treatment for addiction, it was meant to be used as a tapering medication towards abstinence. Meaning, that once you get off a hard drug onto Suboxone, a patient is then tapered down as tolerated until s/he is drug free. Is it possible for you to find a differen doctor who will be able to help you do that?
Avatar f tn 30 to get my first dose of Suboxone........He says 48 hours.....is that starting from the time I put hte last pill in my mouth.....ie...could I take a pill Tuesday morning at 10:30. a.m. I'm nervous ....gotta get the Thomas recipe....and hope I can find all the ingredients....I'm so grateful I found two woman from church who can drive me to my doctors as it is 2 hours away.
Avatar f tn no, youre not placed on a Suboxone/DEA list. Also, Suboxone is not for pain relief. Its meant for opiate withdrawal.
Avatar m tn I’ve decided instead of taking Suboxone or MAT like an Opiod I’m going to do it the old fashioned way. One tapered down. I see people posting about St Johns, Valerian Root, Melatonin, and a lot of OTC things I know are safe and effective. What else is there to ease the anxiety ? I already take Valium ( completely as directed ) so it’s going to be anxiety over anxiety when I stop completely.
205111 tn?1224639754 Hey there, First of all let me say I DID NOT abuse my Suboxone, and I am a bit pissed off that people automatically take that position. Anyways, there are 2 active ingredients in Suboxone, first is Buprenorphine, which is technically and OPIOT, secondly there is Naltrexone, this is the part that will make you sick if you use, and or block slip effects. The pellet, is JUST Naltrexone and thusly get's you off of the Opiods.
Avatar f tn I've noticed while being on this board that there are so many people that are anti-Suboxone due to it's own addictive ingredients. I've been on Suboxone since April for a heavy Vicoden addiction. The Suboxone, to me, was a life saver. I started out at 8 mg two times a day and my doctor now has weaned me down to 4 mg once a day. I have never felt any withdrawal symptoms of any kind during my taper plan.
Avatar n tn I am really sorry about the pain your in, but I can very much relate to you. Suboxone is extremely expesnsive!!! The Suboxone might work for you. It did for me, until I started hanging out with my friends that had habits. Never a good idea! It is not a miracle drug, but it would work, as long as you follow the doctor's EXACT specifications, and taper dwn quickly...but not too quickly! You also have to have the funds to do that.
Avatar f tn The active ingredients in Suboxone and Subutex is the same (buprenorphine). Subutex is pure buprenorphine where Suboxone includes naloxone which deters using the Suboxone as an IV drug. It's inactive if taken sublingually as intended. The length of time you should be off the Norco, and the length of time you stay on it are solely you decision in agreement with your physician. It's also important to complement the Suboxone with therapy. It increases the chance of long term clean time.
Avatar m tn I have written this question a couple of times today and I don't see it show up anywhere? Not sure where it is ending up? Anyway... I will try again. I was addicted to pain meds...lortab & Vicodin. Went on Suboxone about 3 years ago. I have tapered down considerably over the last 2-3 months. I take the film and was on just a sliver a day. Roughly .25-30 mill per day. I want to get off completely.
Avatar m tn The things that I mentioned that help the symptoms all have ingredients that are proven to relieve the common symptoms of opiate withdrawal. I've read the literature and if you look at the ingredients of Withdrawl-Ease, there are several things in there that have be proven to relieve the symptoms. L-Tyrosine, Valerian, Passion Flower etc. etc. Before bashing the product, why not take a look at the ingredients (http://www.withdrawal-ease.
