suboxone

Avatar n tn the doctor has to work very carefully with you with the suboxone. How long after yout last pill did you start the suboxone? They recommend about 15ish hours to begin. Just when you start to withdrawl you begin the pills. I'm sorry you wound up so sick. I'd be nervous about going on it also. I just stopped taking them, after weening myself for a month now. It can be a great thing, or it can also be a sword, with a double edge. Good luck to you and welcome!
Avatar m tn Yes i agree about staying on it to long,,i dont want to be dependent on suboxone,or the oxys,,but i know i cant quit the oxys without help,,allready tried, what a joke,,i was pathetic,,its like a slow torture session day in and day out,,i dont need to put myself thru that,at 50 im actually in pretty good shape aside from haveing some back problems, though they have healed great,,thanx for writing to all,,,,
Avatar m tn DO YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW WERE I COULD GO TO GET SUBOXONE OR SOMEONE TO CAKLL OR SOMETHING THATS NOT GONNA COST ME CLOSE TO 2000.
Avatar n tn I have quit roxys with no suboxone. I want you to know that you can too. If youve made the descision to go the sub route a good person to listen is mr wolfmedicine... I gotta tell ya if you wouldve waited just one or two more days you wouldnt have wanted suboxone. You wouldve felf almost normal. Dont take me wrong. Youre doing the right thing. Getting off roxis! good job. Most people here do not recommend taking suboxone for along time. Keep us posted!!! Pat yourself on the back.
Avatar f tn Hi, I was on a high dose of methadone and I am using suboxone to deal with the prolonged withdrawals. I don't know if it would be smart to get on to suboxone to help with the 3 or 6 percocet you are currently taking. There Will be unconfortability, but I think withdrawal from suboxone to be worse than the percs. You may want to consult your Dr as he is the one prescribing the Percs.
Avatar m tn You just need to first understand how suboxone works, and when and how much suboxone you need to take initially, and how much to take after your initial dose afterwards. Suboxone is a strong antagonist, which means it bonds well to the opiate receptors, but does not make you high. When it bonds to the opiate receptors, it "kicks off" other weaker opiates.
Avatar f tn I have appointment with my doctor June 6, I want to tell him about Suboxone. Anyone has used suboxone to help with withdrawal symptoms? Please write or email me at; ***@****. We did tried tapering down but was very hard, the pain was horrible, the flu like symptoms were so bad, diarrhea, vomiting, what’s worst depression and I felt like I can’t breathe. Please someone help let me know if easy stoping tramadol with suboxone was. Thank you.
Avatar m tn I am confused first off whats Suboxone flim .If you are going to take sub you have to be off opeates for a certin amout of time .
Avatar m tn It is a program and should be used in conjunction with some form of recovery care. Suboxone gives you the opportunity to deal with the underlying issues and to learn new behaviors, coping skills, relapse prevention..and more. My concern for you is that you are not getting help and you could put yourself in a position to relapse after coming off of the Suboxone. Still, should you decide to come off be certain to taper as low as you can go and do this under your doctor's care.
190885 tn?1333025891 is this girl in2 opiates and buying suboxone off street to try to get clean and avoid withdrawal from opiates?or is she just using the suboxone?if ur not an addict to use it alone u'll get real high off it and most likely real sick!
Avatar n tn re past it). However, it will most likely exacerbate some of the nasty side effects that folks experience @ high doses of Subs. I'd also echo pillguy's question about the Xanax. It's contra-indicated with subs. Did you know that people who take Xanax regularly often experience 'rebound' anxiety & need to up their dose or add in other kinds of benzos? Xanax are highly addictive & the hardest Benzo to come off of.
13146300 tn?1428729753 I went the the doctor today. He has accepted me into the Suboxone program. But after I detox for 2 days. I go back Wednesday morning to get the Suboxone. I talked to a therapist there that I will see 2x a month. The dr. Gave me clonidin to help he with anxiety. Does that help? All I'm trying to do is get though this til Wednesday morning when I get the Suboxone. From what the therapist told me they prescribed 8mg strip to divide in half and take 4mg each dose.
Avatar m tn Great advice above. Don't be afraid to ask the doctor a ton of questions, and it does sound like you need to swith doctors. Probably shouldn't start the hydro's at all; it'll send the wrong message to your brain. Great job on coming here and posting, there is a lot of support here.
Avatar m tn They prescribed him suboxone and that has helped him tremendously, hes doing better now that ever. Now he will give me some suboxone to help ween myself off tabs when I get the urge to quit...Now my problem is I feel as if im addicted to suboxone, I take 16mg per day when i get them from him as that amount takes away all my anixiety and restlessness when im coming down from the Tabs.
Avatar m tn If anyone has gone through this here is my plan. Please feel free to help - ANYTHING IS APPRECIATED as I understand this will be hell. Reduce Suboxone to 4mg day 1st week Reduce Ultram to 2-tabs/day 1st week Work out aerobics - 1/2x day - sweat and more sweat 1-glass of red wine around supper (I have no problem with alcohol) Starting week 2, only take Suboxone every other day with 1-Ultram Does anyone see this plan working?
Avatar n tn You have to be in withdrawal to start suboxone and I think you have to start with subutex first. Don't think suboxone is a cure. It ISN'T! I went to tour a rehab facility today to handle withdrawal from suboxone, which I took to handle withdrawal from hydrocodone. I don't know anything about your symptoms but I can guarantee that you can't do this alone. Don't take the suboxone without a doctor's help. If you do, you are just trading one addiction for another!
Avatar n tn I want to stay away from Suboxone as I only hear success stories from people who are still on it and it seems like many horror stories for those that tried to quit suboxone itself. I just need help, has anyone here gone through it and been done for awhile and feel completely normal again?
614863 tn?1221153021 So i found this site a few days ago...and before then i wouldve never known about dr.'s i could go to for help, precriptions to help with w.d's...natural methods that help with w.d's...i would have never went to the dr. yesterday if it werent for this site, and everyone here. Avatar m tn I have been searching for WEEKS trying to find an answer to my question and cannot seem to find the exact answer. I know that it is best to be under the care of a Dr before you use Suboxone but I am not and know that is best but now I have to get off of Oxy's AGAIN and need help!! I was on Oxy 80 mg 2x a day for 2 years. I tapered and went through HELL with withdrawals! It was very hard but I did it!! That was about 2 years ago and now I am on them AGAIN! I am so mad that I did this!

Avatar m tn bless you for wanting to help. in recovery asking for help can be very hard. your willingness to help is great. i hope that there is a 12 step mentality in this facility as that will help him to remain clean for the rest of his life. if you follow the guidelines and priciples in NA or AA it is just about impossible to fail. they are there for him whether the facility uses them or not and they are without a doubt the best chance for success any addict has.
Avatar f tn HI if you want to do thew switch you have to wait till your in withdrawals from the sub b/4 going on the methadone both of these drugs should only be given by a doctor it is not wise to self administer ether one do find a doctor that can help good luck and God bless..........
Avatar f tn I did read some chats mentioning Suboxone. What is it ? Will it help me to switch to it to get off the patch faster ? Does it work for the W/D from fent ? Does it do anything for the pain ? Can some one tell me about it please?
Avatar n tn As far as finding a doctor that prescribes suboxone you can go to the suboxone website and enter your zip code and it will show all the qualified doctors in your area. Before you consider that route make sure you do your research talk to those of us who have used sub, like I said before sometimes sub can become and even worse addiction. I hope you keep posting here for your questions, theres tons of helpful people that are very caring and compassionate.
628190 tn?1269018507 Suboxone was the answer for me. I am so happy I was introduced to this drug in rehab. I never dreamed I could live a day without wanting or craving drugs. It does and will continue to happen. I will not lie to you sometimes the thought about it pops in my mind but there is no struggle to say no. It is like well what ever I dont need that anymore. One other thing is you truly have to surrender to the drugs you were taking. Once you do that you no longer have to fight this fight.
