1331083 tn?1285912354 Hey baby, I am sorry for not responding in the past, I am going through some problems myself! I am pregnant and was taking suboxone but switched to methadone! Suboxone WD's are tough, but so is every WD!!! Like Gnarly said, everyone is different! It is so true that the thought of WD is worse than the WD itself! A lot of it is in your mind! Dont get me wrong, they suck, and I wouldn't wish them on my worse enemy!
6808710 tn?1384993739 I didn't use heroin on vacation. I've been on suboxone for 4 years, except for the most recent 3 months, when my doctor disappeared because he got charged by the DEA, at which point I got scared about the finite amount of suboxone I had left and switched to heroin. Now I've switched back to suboxone, and have less than a month left.
Avatar m tn After several years of tramadol addiction (up to as many as 800-1000 mgs per day), I have consulted an addiction specialist and will begin treatment with suboxone next week. Anyone out there with some experience who can give me an idea of what to expect?
Avatar m tn I don't think it would be termed a 'forum' but a group or a 'room'. For instance there is a 'Tramadol' group/room. If you like, I'll find out exactly how you can set it up as I know someone who did. (I assume this is about Subs?
Avatar f tn Suboxone isnt any harder to manufacture than anything else.....buprenorphine is just sub without the naltrexone..... and naltrexone may be prescribed seperately if needed. Do your homework very well if you wish to promote subs - they are an emotionally charged issue for some reason with about everyone......................
Avatar m tn I sa the TV show Dateline and they did a piece on Subone and there were Herion addicts taking it and feeling great and habe their lives back together. So 33 days later I was indused with Suboxone. I prayed and prayed for the Lord to leading me to this. At the time it was as I was sent a gift from the Heavens above. The following July I had to have foot surgery due to tumors of Dupuytren's Contacture Disease. My small finger on my left hand was drawed inward and frozen there.
Avatar f tn If so, where????? What is it??
Avatar n tn So I am on the last of my soboxone treatment after having a bad opiate addiction and ready to begin the road to recovery. I tried once before but had a little stumble. I have been reading these posts and can see how supportive everyone is and would just like to ask for everyone support. I'll be joining a recovery group at my moms church but it would also be nice to share it with all of you. I look forward to having my life back!! I'll keep you all posted.
Avatar f tn i transitioned from methadone to suboxone..not easy, but CAN be done...suboxone is a much better choice/option...
Avatar n tn Each time I relapsed and went back to opiates, then went through the same withdrawals getting back on suboxone. My doctors original plan for opiate dependency was suboxone maintenance for years, since less then 10% of suboxone quitters stay clean within a year. I switched doctors hoping to quit. Just like my previous attempts it was easy to go from 16mg to 8mg to 4mg to 2mg per day. I had always relapsed after tapering further. This time I stuck to 2mg/per day for three months.
Avatar m tn Five years ago, when Suboxone was first released, it was used mostly for 'quick detox'. Now it has been realized that most of those people simply kept using opiates, so most scripts are used for longer-term treatment. As for the method, different places did it differently; some would simply ask the person to come in after being in severe W/D, and give them a couple Suboxone to relieve their symptoms, then let the Suboxone slowly wear off.
Avatar n tn OC is exactly right, get all the information you can about suboxone, it no miracle and can become a big hurdle in itself. For sure the quicker methods in my opinion are the best option(21days), but in almost every instance if we could just taper our drug of choice the withdrawals can actually be easier to deal with. Its a highly debated topic, some people report little to no w/d's, while other like myself wish Id never been mislead into using suboxone.
Avatar f tn Check out a site called "The Suboxone Talk Zone" - - - the Doc there is very good and very knowledgable about sub - - and he is a real MD - - -
822153 tn?1333062995 He could not handle his cravings for loratabs with the use of suboxone. Suboxone has reduced his cravings to the point where they are manageable. I am concerned about substituting one drug for another. In the long run he will have to be taken off suboxone it is working right now. I will send you a message with more details.

Avatar f tn I am new to the group I go tommorow to a Suboxone clinic. Right now I am in withdrawls and starting to feel pretty bad can anyone tell me what I can expect when I go in for my first office visit?
351846 tn?1273615544 How long does everybody think it will be before the Dr.'s realize that people on suboxone will not be coming off it quietly, before all addicts are swayed into its calming effect?
Avatar m tn What strength? 15 may well be enough for your purposes. Dont expect to get completely out of this woods without some scratches from the briars though........
Avatar f tn In order to keep my husband calm , who would not understand why I would need to join this group. If you have time I would really appreciate it of someone could tell me what. Subpxone is and how it works.

Avatar m tn The past 6 days I have been 4mgs. Daily. Not too bad. Most people in my group/outpatient rehab. have been on 16mgs. Daily. I have never exceeded 4mgs. Daily. Any comments, suggestions, experiences? I am following other people here suggest on Taper schedule, good so far. I guess my question is, should I be feeling/experiencing more? Thank You All!!!!
Avatar f tn BUT it has a longer half life than codeine which means a nastier withdrawl - its okay if you only use it for 7 days or less AND reduce the amount REALLY rapidly each day (like REALLY dramatially!) - you will still have withdrawl when you stop the suboxone though (as its the same drug group as the codeine) so its kind of just delaying the withdrawl in a way. But it could reduce some withdrawl symptoms if you take it for just say a week, lowering the dose each day.
