THE GENERIC NAME FOR OPANA IS OXYMOPHONE. OXYMORPHONE IS GIVEN ORALLY IN EITHER ER (EXTENDED RELEASE), OR IR (IMMEDIATE RELEASE) IT IS VERY HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. MOST ABUSERS CRUSH AND SNORT IT LIKE OC USERS. SOME ALSO INJECT IT. I WAS AN ADDICT FOR EIGHT YEARS. AND A FUNCTIONING ONE AT THAT. BUT ONCE I ESCALATED TO OPANA, WITHIN THREE MONTHS I WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF IT. I COULD NO LONGER DO MY JOB OR SUPPORT MY WIFE AND CHILD IN ANY OTHER WAY.

Oh Jerry you're not the only one who worries about the cost of meds, some of my meds aren't even covered by my health care plan (PCIP program pre-existing insurance plan). I was paying $352 a month premiums, which was double what I did on United Health Care. Finally they lowered the cost of the premiums by about 40% July1st to $211, so I'll be able to afford more meds or change from generic to brand as my dr's have suggested I do.

As of now there is not a generic version of Suboxone on the market yet. Generic subutex are white and do have some numbers imprinted on them. I don't think there are any prescription meds out there that do not have some sort of imprint on them. Sounds like he may be trying to pull a fast one on you. He may be trying to make you think he is going to get clean taking suboxone when in fact he is just taking "fake" suboxone while he is still taking dilaudid.

Are these generics or are they from Purdue cause I have never seen them here in Canada. Matter of fact, I have never seen a generic controlled-release oxy formulation up here at all. Are these instant release oxy's? Anyone? Sorry about the questions, just curious.

Hi, I get my prescriptions through Express Scripts and they recently contacted my doctor about a generic for Effexor ER called Venlafaxine. The problem is, I now take the extended release Effexor and the supposed generic for this med is $70 more than the brand name Effexor ER. How could a generic subsitute be more expensive than the brand name, just doesn't make any sense to me. If I chose to take the non-extended release generic Venlafaxine, it would be $80 cheaper than the Effexor ER.

but you must make sure it is the generic for toprol xl because there is metoprolol succinate which is the generic for toprol xl and metoprolol tartrate which is the generic for lopressor. They both work in two different ways so they can not be interchanged at the same dose. I asked this question before toprol xl became a generic.

I am taking suboxone and just got my script filled yesterday and it is still orange and used under the tongue. I saw the doctor also and he said nothing about there being a change in how it was dispensed.

i took 30 tramadol a day. what is the typical suboxone dose for that amount of use?

Hi, Oxycontin is the brand name for the medication and yes it is extended release. Now the oxycodone ER is the generic version and if that's listed on your bottle then your most likley taking the generic version. Your pharmacist will tell you which generic brand your taking. As far as I know only malikroft is allowed to make the generic form of oxycontin. When you get a generic your RX bottle will list the name brand and the generic name under it.

Anyway my question is does anyone know if they have come out with a generic Suboxone yet and if so will it be any cheaper and is there any type of Patient Assistance program that could help me. The difference is that Toprol XL is extended release so you get a steady slow release of metroprolol in your system throughout the day. Generic metoprolol is not extended release so it enters your system and then gradually disappears.

Is there a low cost generic medication that has a low cost and can be paid for out-of-pocket without causing much financial stress. I take several medications from the generic class and while they are covered (in part) by my insurance the cost is small enough it wouldn't be a big problem if I didn't have insurance help.

I have no experience with Norplace, but I do take generic everything... now even on Metoprolol regular release to get the generic. The generic is about the cost of aspirin (well a bit more but in that price range) and I take Warfarin. I started on Toprol XR then Metorprolol SR, now Metoprolol which I take twice a day (12 hours). Warfarin is just once a day. All generics work for me, or work as well.

Effexor XR has a much slower release and avoids this spike with it's extended release properties. Suboxone does not stop addiction..nor make a person clean...it satisfies narcotic needs for some but it does not "stick" to the benzo receptors....an addict will cross over.in a heartbeat...alcohol, benzos, barbituates.....an addict is an Addict...and the urge to abuse will be there unless aftercare is part of the program...and a true desire to be clean Suboxone is not a miracle drug as claimed..."staying" clean takes alot of work and most often a life change...

My insurance only want to cover the non extended release generic but I tried it for 6 months. I was annoyed at having to take it twice a day but for $37.50 for 90 days vs $90 for 90 days I was willing to do it. Problem was it gives me mild nausea when I took it with a big meal and severe nausea if I took it on an empty stomach or even with with a smaller meal. I just couldn't tolerate it so I went back to the generic XR capsules. Our plan changed vendors at the end of last year.

Medi-cal DOES pay for the suboxone and subutex(and generic of subutex) you only have to apply for a tar with your pharmacy. It takes about 3 days to get it. If your pharmacist is cool like mine then they will give you some meds to take home while they get the script paid for. Your doctor will have to supply info for medi-cal on why you need the meds. ITS SUPER EASY THOUGH. just talk to your pharmicist. If you go to a dr that takes medi-cal then your appt fee should be free too.

There is a generic Immediate Release Effexor available, not the XR. I am currently trying to come off this drug. Here is what my psychiatrist told me, but I haven't completed it yet, so I don't know if it will work. So, I was on Pristiq (by GP, not Psych), my psychiatrist switched me to 150 mg effexor instead...they are equivalant. So, now, I am dropping 37.

While there is a generic extended release version of venlafaxine available, it is not exactly the same as the brand name (Because of the patent). Knowing this, I would take the samples back to your Dr. and continue using the brand name since you already know it works for you.

Bups loose their patton in october of this year so there will be generic bups soon. But suboxone is incredibly harderr to synthesize so they will not be generic for some time because they are expensive and difficult to manufacture.
