Suboxone for a week

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone for a week

suboxone

Avatar m tn I feel he ignored that, and so for the first week when I got my prescription from this NEW doctor I had to take a few extra for the pain. I called them the other day and they cut back my prescription to getting it filled once a week. I am NOT new to these forms of medication, and I would like to find a doctor who is familiar with my needs.
Avatar m tn I was on Sub for 21 days and have had problems since my last 'crumb' and that was 35 days ago. I wish you the best in your quest to get clean --- but I know that Sub is one very wicked master ---- much worse than most of our DOC and doesn't want you to let it go. Hope you can find a way to get off of it before it really grabs hold of you. I felt great until I decided to quit Sub. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn The clinic around here it is 175.00 a week for the dr., counseling, and the suboxone. I called Rite aide earlier and they said the meds is only $5 a pill. So is it cheaper to go to the Dr. or the clinic?
Avatar n tn Some worked fine for a few weeks and then just stopped working. The Suboxone has been a life saver! It relieves my pain almost completely and my mood hasn't been this good for ages. I had been complaining to my docs about low energy and no ability to concentrate for more than a minute. Today I sat down a wrote 7 pages of a paper for college, working non-stop. My recall has improved and I have enough energy that I jump out of bed in the morning and hit the floor running.
Avatar m tn also since the acute withdrawal symptoms last for a week would i be able to take methadone or suboxone for a week to get over the withdrawals, then stop the methadone/suboxone?? i was reallly curious about this as i heard that it helps with withdrawal.
Avatar m tn Thank you. Yes, support group attendance is mandatory--several times a week for six months.
781991 tn?1237964779 In a previous post I shared my story about my 2 year long, 20 10/325mg hydrocodone a day drug habit. With the help of Suboxone I have succeeded in going the longest without taking any hydrocodone...21 days thus far. To make my long story short, here was my pattern....6 days of 20 hyrdocodone....started suboxone, but was abusing it....7 days of 4 8mg Suboxone a day. Then again....another 6 days of 20 hydrocodone....then once again 4 suboxone for 7 days. Then absolutely nothing for 7 days.
426217 tn?1249005416 I started my 4th week of Suboxone and I also started a tapering off schedule! THANK YOU AMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I noticed 2 new things though..... 1. i keep having "body spasms" when falling asleep mainly, but I sometimes get them while I am sleeping and it wakes me up. Almost seizure like. Any suggestions? 2. Also, I think Suboxone messes with hormones (not sure) but my sex drive is like non-existent!!!! I am usually like a bunny...
Avatar n tn I've been on 90mgs for about a year. I want to stop. Any ideas suggestions? Anyone used suboxone? IS that as hard to get off of?
Avatar n tn im perscribed pain medicine but i took a half of a suboxone and a hour later had to go take a drug test cause i got hurt at work would it of showed up that soon or would it of showed up at all?
Avatar f tn It is a very long acting opiate and the withdrawals when you decide to quit are very drawn out and can be brutal. Subs have a place and can be a lifesaver for some, but they are not indicated in coming off of such a low dose of Percocets. Your best bet is going to be just planting your feet and going through detox right now. You might feel rough for a few days (usually 3-4) but should get over it very quickly. Stay hydrated, eat healthy...
733251 tn?1231698321 Hi everyone, I have just recently moved to the Cincinnati, Ohio area and have been on Suboxone for a little while. I have insurance (Medicaid-CareSource). My doctor from where I use to live took my insurance. As you know, alot of doctors are on a cash bases only. Is anyone from my area? Can you recommend a doctor close to Claremont County that takes insurance? Also, I was going to see about getting switched to Subutex because of the bad headaches I do get.
Avatar f tn I stopped the suboxone one week prior to having a breast augmentation which contained alot of scar tissue and needed the implants replaced. I am currently on opioids for the pain connected to the surgery and I am still experiencing alot of pain, assuming It is coupled with my ms pain. My question is will the suboxone after day six post surgery give me enough pain control instead of the opioids.
1227909 tn?1267853479 I took suboxone for all 72 weeks of treatment. Finally got to SVR and have been cured for three years now. I didn't take the tele - just did regular old SOC. Now I'm on subutex trying to wean off all the Subs after about 7 years.........not so easy to do as it appears and I'm really in no rush to go through all the pain of that! I'm sure you can relate! But yes it is possible to succeed taking the meds together.
Avatar f tn Your getting ready to have a baby..on suboxone? Am I understanding you correctly? The dr didn't switch you over to the subutext while pregnant? BTW....I recently quit the suboxone and it's not a taper plan that you can do in a couple of days, the suboxone taper is a LONG, SLOW process if you don't want to w/d....
Avatar f tn Gabapentin helps kill withdrawal symptoms coming off opiates... big time. 800 to 1600mg or more. I swear by it. Heard this on bluelight and it worked.. was as Godsend. Hope it works for you too. Do not try to go off suboxone 24mg in 6 days tho! must taper using strips by cutting them down to small slivers then after staying on that for a week or two, jump .. but take small amounts if w/d's are too much.. use gabapentin and jump!!
Avatar f tn i was 13 days off methadone and 4 days off of doing 4mgs of suboxone about every other day for a week. 4 days off everything and i was doin fine, then all of a sudden...majorly ill! you know all the symptoms so i won't get into the graphics, but this is day 3 of feeling like i wanna die and i just keep gettin worse. needless to say, we bailed the beach and i got back a little while ago and went straight for my friend for some suboxone. i just couldn't handle it.
Avatar f tn but if you go cold turkey from either of them youre asking for some major trouble, withdrawals that are pretty harsh and last for at least a month if not more. i would give suboxone a good try and if that absolutely doesnt work for you then I would give methadone a shot, but suboxone should work really well for you.
Avatar f tn just to say that i am taking another 4mgs of suboxone to go to work now. yesterdays 4mgs saved my life. i think tomorrow since i have the day off i am going to try to stick it out and not take anything, haven't been on suboxone for even a week, don't want to get hooked on that too. today is day 7 for me with no methadone! yea!
1800740 tn?1324237171 Suboxone is the brand name for a medication consisting of buprenorphine and naloxone. Buprenorphine is a thebaine derivative with powerful analgesia approximately 20-40x more potent than morphine. Buprenorphine is a partial agonist and antagonist of the opioid receptors in the central nervous system which means when the its molecule binds to a receptor, it will transduce only a partial response in contrast to a full agonist such as morphine.

426217 tn?1249005416 I have been on suboxone now for about 3 weeks. It truely has been a life saver with the withdrawal symptoms, but the tiredness is insane. I can barely keep my eyes open!!! I still have a few cravings, but I crave energy! The only reason I was using Percocet like I was, was because of the energy boost I got from it. I am also doing research about switching to Methadone, but I am getting mixed reviews. Has anyone else gotten this damn tired?
Avatar m tn In no way is this a ad for Suboxone. Its a very powerful drug and do your research before taking it. (I was very scared after I read while I was on it) Also follow your Dr.'s plan you two have set up. This is just me and not a recommendation for anyone or anything.!!!
Avatar f tn he takes 4 mg. 3x a day. he has to go to therapy @ the treatment center once a week and see a dr. about his dose and have a drug test, and he has to attend 5 AA/NA meetings a week. the plan seems like a good one to me and i know it will be a long process. i have read good and bad about suboxone and i was just wondering if everyone that is prescribed suboxone has to follow a similar plan? by the way...i would like to thank all of you for posting your stories.
Avatar f tn You're certainly in the right place to get support. What is Watson 540? Is it oxycodone or hydrocodone? First I'll say that I was not addicted but rather physically dependent. I didn't like taking so much medication and I've tapered off nearly everything. (At the moment I have to stay on a small amount due to some health issues.) Since you got them from a doctor, were you having pain? If so, what kind.
