suboxone

Avatar f tn The best way to find a doctor who dispenses Suboxone or Subutex is to go to those brand's websites and look for provider in your area. Good luck.
Avatar m tn Many believe that it is easier to taper Suboxone since it is not a pure agonist (opiate), but also a blocker of opioid receptors. In our practice we see many people who get addicted to Suboxone as well, and turn to us for detox. So please be careful and be persistent in tapering if you choose to go that way. Another option is to do it with medical assistance like detox under anesthesia. It is completely confidential, but of course, not covered by insurance.
Avatar m tn He has closed his practice and has moved to California. I made the switch to a doctor who is brand new in prescribing suboxone. I feel the therapist does not understand or can relate to what it has been like to be an addict. When I found Suboxone it was a miracle. I only saw this facility one time in Asheville since the switch from Johnson city, and while I was there I had a torn ligament on my physically deformed left hand.
Avatar n tn You can go to Turntohelp.com for the website on Suboxone or call 866-455-8876 and they can help you locate a doctor in your area who is certified to prescribe it & also give you more info on it. Good Luck!
Avatar m tn You're already on methadone and you really can't begin SUBOXONE until you're down to at least 30mg per day of methadone; last I knew. When you see the doctor tomorrow, tell him you prefer to taper the methadone...if that's what you truly want. But as I said, you need to taper down to 30 mg anyway and that's well documented.
518598 tn?1215513006 I guess it is still too early but I know that mine will at least pay for the prescription. There is a form on the suboxone website you fill out and they will even contact your doctor for you. This is the only other way i can think of to help you. I am not sure what your drug habit was before but I know that i spent WAY more on getting my DOC than I am on suboxone. As for comments about doctors being drug dealers, my Doctor is a psychiatrist and is wonderful.
Avatar f tn Hello fishersnana. There is a movie you should watch. Actually it is a documentary. It is called, "The Finger of God" produced by Darren Wilson. You can watch the entire film on youtube in 10 parts. Remember that when you watch this film, you are no different than anyone on there. We are all the same. On another note, You should applaud yourself for getting clean. If you can get clean, there is nothing that you can not overcome.

Avatar m tn I have a very important question, My fiance is taking suboxen for opiate addiction, I am concerned his suboxen Doctor prescribes him 1 mg clonazepam 2 times a day, he's now abusing the clonazepam he is taking from 7-12 sometimes more a day. So my question is should he even be taking clonazepam knowing he's a addict, and How can a Suboxen Doctor prescribe something that's addicting to an addict. It makes no sense to me.

I can't lose my job..have to keep up the act but am running out of the energy to continue it.

Neurologists are not trained at all in this type of medication. I There is a government website that helps locate Drs. who can do this for you. I'm not sure what is allowed her but if you google "Physicians who prescribe Suboxone or Subutex" you will find the samhsa.gov website.

733251 tn?1231698321 t help you find a doctor, but I can explain the Suboxone/Subutex question you asked. The naloxone in Suboxone is placed there only to discourage people from using it via the IV route. When you let a Suboxone tablet dissolve in your mouth, you're getting a dose of Bupe and a dose of naloxone. The Bupe is absorbed into your system but the naloxone is not. And, since it doesn't get into the blood stream very well through the stomach, it really has little to no effect unless you inject it.
