Suboxone eating

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone eating

6038743 tn?1379338851 Ive been off suboxone for 13 days. Ive only slept a total of 8 hours all during the daytime. Im not sure why I cant sleep at night. I was on suboxone for about 4 years straight and would sleep like a baby. Ive had trouble sleeping ever since I deployed to Iraq. Heroin and the drugs I was taking helped with that. But being clean seems impossible to sleep. Is it the WDs from suboxone or is it the PTSD?
Avatar n tn I have been taking suboxone for 5 months now and just latley I have been itching like crazy and I get these bumps filled with clear liquid they will swell up if I do not open them in some way and take days to go away! I really do not understand how I would just get this side effect. these bumps are on upper boddy or feet, I have only had three clusters of them, and the rest would be far away! Not sure if thats considered a rash. Even if it is why is that considered a BAD side effect??
Avatar f tn I was woundering if anyone knows if suboxone is a pain reliever also? I am only taking my suboxone and ibprofen right now. I had to get the tooth pulled, because it was getting really bad.

610505 tn?1329607323 Short term is definitely the way to go with suboxone and Ive heard many positive things from short term (for detox only) suboxone users. The least amount for the least amount of time to avoid getting hooked on suboxone.
Avatar f tn I'll tell you---a few years from now you will be back here asking how to get off of the Suboxone. Suboxone is not for everyone but can be a great tool to help you get your life together, IF used properly. So, do your homework---don't just jump in. Let us know how you are doing.
Avatar f tn I also used suboxone ( which by the way was given to me by a rehab doc ) to help get me off the pain pills I was about a 30 mg a day on o x y and lor tab the suboxone did me wonders I did not have any wd symptoms after starting suboxone I would recommend suboxone to any one suffering the wd symptoms and after I was weened from the sub I felt great but let me tell u it is still hard as hell to stay away from the pills and still just as easy to get addicted
Avatar f tn My son has just recently started treatment with suboxone. He is taking 12mg/day. I have started noticing signs of severe depression. Stopped talking to his friends. Stays in his room. Not Eating, Etc., I want to know if there is something that could help this?
Avatar m tn I actually went from percocets, to oxys to Suboxone in 6 years.... was on 16mgs Suboxone was a bit over an year... The other ones I was able to stop here and there, but once I started the suboxones it was over, I just could not do it anymore by myself... Im so relieved..Though I would never be able to get over this suboxone addiction.
Avatar f tn Stopped Suboxone 8 days ago cold Turkey. My mind set is still strong but the aching pain all over my body is ridiculous. Does anyone know any tricks to cope with this it's mainly at night when I'm trying to go to sleep?
Avatar m tn Why are people getting addicted on Suboxone when it doesn't even get you high? If I understand correctly, taking opiates while on suboxone has no effect. I know a young man in his 20's who is addicted to snorting Suboxone and I don't understand why? Any insight from the group would be invaluable!
Avatar f tn Did he attend support groups or therapy when he was on suboxone? If not be should to help prevent relapse. Sleep takes some time to return. His natural brain chemistry needs to repopulate. Exercising will help with that and as time goes on he will continue to heal. Eating a protein rich diet, fruits and veggies, drinking protein shakes. For sleep over the counter melatonin, alteril, sleep by nature made, valerian root, sleepy time tea, a hot bath or shower before bed.
Avatar f tn I have been on suboxone for the last 6 months. Was treated with it for a vic addiction. My doctor tapered me off it this past week. Today is my second day completely clean. So far so good. minor withdrawal. Chills...sweats...aches. but nothing compared to vic withdrawal. I did that once cold turkey. HELL!!! Well I find this forum very helpful and I hope to post until my withdrawal is gone. I hope that this can help someone else someday.
Avatar m tn In the beginning i was in bathroom all day and night, over time i just had to make sure i was putting food in b/c it came out as fast as i could put it in! Just keep eating and will get better....
Avatar m tn i was weaned off suboxone 8 days ago. it was a quick tapering by a doctor in this field. i still feel awful and am wondering if anyone has any idea how long this will last. i am on clonodine and clonazepam, both very low doses. i have missed three weeks of work and am frantic. any answers would be greatly appreciated.
4826010 tn?1361624525 I started taking suboxone about 2 years ago but i did not have a prescription for them, i was buying them on the street which forced me to start off at only 2 mg per day (quarter pill). I continued this dose until about 3 months ago when i broke down and started to take double the amout stressing about personal problems. Towards the end i dropped back down to 2mg for about 2 weeks.
Avatar f tn Thank you for this post, I have been wondering what it's like to come off of Suboxone. I take 12mgs a day. Along with sub they put me on a muscle relaxer too (for chronic pain) and I couldn't take it either. I felt like someone had spun me around and around with my eyes closed and made me walk. What I do take now is Visteril and Inderal. They are blood pressure meds also but they do what mr's do too by calming you and getting you through the twitching and not sleeping.
920332 tn?1249058142 Hello, I have been taking Suboxone for the past two years to get over my percocet/morphine dependency. I felt it was time to get off of the Suboxone, too, at this point. I was down to about a half a day when I stopped four days ago. I am really struggling with the withdrawl symptoms and cannot sleep or function very well. I'm all shaky, have the chills, muscle aches, head aches, etc. I just feel like I want to curl up in a ball and die!
Avatar m tn That's great that you are down to 1mg. Have you read the suboxone/subutex FAQs? It is important to continue tapering below 1mg. Congrats and keep up the good work.
7163794 tn?1457370413 Just trying to give him some information regarding time frame??? He's eating, drinking, NOT sleeping (I found him this morning in the living room arm chair b/c of his legs), I've got all of the supplements from my detox plus some new ones that I've heard on here (nothing narcotic)....just wondering if its the length of time that's less when you taper correctly or less severe w/ds?
Avatar f tn I went from Vicodin, to Methadone, to Suboxone hoping the Suboxone would be the end of my addiction to opiates. I guess I was wrong. You know were able to take a heart from one man and put it in another and they walk away, and were able to leave this plannet to go to another, but when it comes to an adiction their doesn't seem to be any answers through out the medical community. or maybe could it be an " I told you so " kind of thing...............
Avatar m tn I have been taking Suboxone for 3 years, I tapered down to 2 mg a day from 24 mg a day. I want to quit. I took 40 10 mg norco's from 80 mg to 30 mg to maybe kick the suboxone off the receptors. I am on day 6 with no sleep and RLS. Do I really have to do two months of this to get clear? I do not think I am strong enough for that. Should I go back on suboxone and taper down a lot lower.? Thanks, I am in misery. Ben.
Avatar m tn took my last1/2 mg of suboxone Sat.Feb 8th. Feeling crappy but still able to eat, bathe, etc. My question is how long should I expect to feel symptoms of withdrawal? my stomach feels fine but my head feels fuzzy, along with a slight headache.
Avatar m tn Ive been on suboxone for around 2 years and decided to quit taking. My doctor was really just in it for the money and didnt even know what Subutex was. So he had me taking 5 8mg tablets a day! Yes thats alot. But i only took 16mg aday at most. So i decided to stop seeing him and taper down and get off. Well being the addict that i am, i should have realized that ive never been able to taper off a thing in my life! So tomm. Ill be jumping from taking 12mg's of suboxne a day.
Avatar n tn I've read many conflicting thoughts on the effect of naloxone, and found that contrary to popular belief, any oral opiate can be taken with suboxone. The naloxone causes WDs only when injected. Suboxone just blocks the opiate receptors, not allowing other opiates to enter or bind. It also bonds longer, which is where the belief that suboxone WDs last longer probably came from. I have done it, and am pretty much ok aside from little sleep.
Avatar f tn after 6 year's of that, and having to file bankruptcy cuz i spent all my money on drug's,i then went into detox with the suboxone, and my doctor for the detox had me on suboxone for a year!
Avatar n tn Hello. I am recovering from Suboxone. I had a question about the specifics about Suboxone withdrawal. I had been on it for nearly two years. I tapered down and have now been clean for 43 days. I am very proud of myself for enduring this fight; unfortunately, I still am experiencing withdrawal symptoms (specifically, insomnia and achy “restless” legs). My question is, “Is it normal for the Suboxone withdrawal period to last this long?
5417109 tn?1367641699 I had to change Doctors (long story) and yesterday went to my new Doctor. He prescribed me suboxone instead of subutex and I'm not really sure why he doesn't prescribe subutex, but now I'm scared b/c I've been stable for so long. He also told me to be in mild WD's from the subutex b4 I take the suboxone b/c it has a narcotic reversal drug naloxone included in it. I took my last dose of subutex 4mg this morning so I'm completely out. I'm about to go p;ick up the suboxone now.
434480 tn?1242659346 It is a bad idea to just take 1mg of suboxone when you feel shakey. I am on suboxone and Suboxone w/ds are worse than hydrocodone w/ds. So if you want to use the suboxone to stop the w/d's make a taper plan (that depends on how much you took) exsample 1mg every other day for a week, than 1mg every 3 days and so forth and so on. Be careful with the suboxone it can be very hard to get off of.
