suboxone duration

Could I get a little feedback on the duration of Suboxone withdrawal? I just read where someone said it has been 45 days and they are still not quite there. If this is the case, I plan to make an appointment with my shrink tomorrow so I can beat the livin' daylights out of him. He told me about 5 days. This is the man that prescribes Suboxone. I was addicted to opiods for 18 years. I might even be a good resource on hard core withdrawal. I have been through it more than two dozen times.

I actually have a question for you - do you know how long I could take the suboxone for before I become dependent on it? anywhere from 3-5 weeks is the duration of methadone withdrawals. I fear that if I take the subs for that long that I will get addicted. I got only 60 8mg tablets and I will not use them all.

i have been on suboxone for 21/2 years and for the last few months I have been trying to ween off. It is a hard drug to get off of please be prepared if your not you will not make it. You will have some withdrawal it's different for everyone. Do your research. Are you getting them from a doctor? If so have you told him you want off.

Now if you did take 56 8mg tabs of suboxone I would go to the ER to get checked out or atleast contact the suboxone hotline. Again Im hoping Im just misunderstanding what you posted. Keep us posted on how things go and remember the ceiling effect of suboxone is 32mgs, there absolutely no benefit to taking more than that. I hope everything works out for you, you really gotta be ready to quit for this process to work, let us know how things go. Until then be safe and take care of yourself.

hi hope someone helps with this. I want to start on suboxone short term for a week to stop the wds. Can I take a half in the morning if I take my last perc at 7pm. Is 12 hours enough time to take.

But my husband is on day 16 for the morphine/heroin addiction and day 7 from suboxone. He had a horrible day yesterday and last night was one of the worst nights. He laid in bed twitching so bad! I made him a hot bath and he took a valium (klonopin) and he has been taking the vitamins recommended in the Thomas Recipe and he still said that last night was the worst so far. He said he is breaking down and doesn't know how much longer he can stand it.

I was taking oxycodone for back pain and when I was done months later I withdrawaled from it and got right on suboxone. now if I was told I would withdrawal from the oxycodone I would have never taken it in the first place but I went to suboxone and wasn't told about withdrawal from that either actually I was told that because of wening I would not go though that. But I quit subs cold turkey and my mind is not completely normal but then again how do I know what normal is.

I also work full time and Im not looking to get high. I just need to ween off or find out info on Suboxone or Methadone and how to even get perscribed something like that. Thank you for your time.

i have been on suboxone for 9 mths now i started on 8 mlg and am on 0.5 now.i feal like i do need to take it anymore but am kinda scared that i could go threw withdraw was wondering if anyone has just stoped on a small amount and how they felt?

Will my withdrawals start all over if I did not even 1/2 of a 2 mg subutex, I was down to 4 mg of suboxone when I was forced to quit by my doctor, who discharged me for missing a appointment!! I'm 8 days today without my medicine, so howfully that Lil bit of amount shouldn't make me start back at square one?

Sub may have slightly less pronounced symptoms but you trade off for duration of withdrawals. I would suggest reading through the Health Pages still.........and you will get some more responses.

The standard of care for opioid dependent pregnant women is to use methadone or buprenorphine (Suboxone). BUT I would NOT recommend either in your case, as the dose of opioid you are taking is MUCH lower than the effects of buprenorphine. In fact, taking Suboxone would be like taking 15 or more Vicodin (hydrocodone) tablets per day!

t go for the suboxone 50mg oxy a day is not near enough to merit going to suboxone specially when you are feeling ok because like other post say it is possible to feel ok a lil faster than normal and as far as getting used to it that is not possible thru my years of addiction I cannot count the times I have been in withdrawal and there is no getting used to it

im 25 weeks pregnant been on opiates for 14 years now i cant ever seem to kick the habit. i was on suboxone before finding out i was expecting ,3 film strips a day. my doctor changed me to subutex saying it was safer for the baby is it? i have tapered myself down to one 8mg tablet a day but cant seem to go any lower than that right now &not sure if i should not wanting to put baby in withdrawals.

But everything else - suboxone, oxy, perks, even heroine.. for me suboxone was the worst. Probably not the most accute pain--but for me, Im a rip the bandaid off quick person.. suboxone was much longer than the others. Hopinforhappy - so true! It does seem like whatever your doing at the time is the worst.

I went through suboxone w/d in jan, 2014. Did about a week and a half taper from 24mg to 0mg which was really stupid b/c i really didnt realize that subs stay in your system so much longer than regular drugs. The people on this site werw upfront and honest with me in telling me it would take approx 21 days before i would get physical relief and they were right. Roughly 3/4 weeks is what it took. Typically, women on Suboxone are usually switched to Subutex, as it's considered a little bit less risky (Subutex doesn't contain the Naloxone that Suboxone does).
