different doctors have different rates. google suboxone to find one in your area and call to see what it cost. the initial cost can be expensive. sub is a mitey [pwerful drug to use to beat an 80mg day habit. look in the health pages bottom right of this page to read the stpries of our members that have used sub. there are pros and cons for it. i wiah you the best on your journey to recovery.

I thing it is the naloxone, as if you read the leaflet of side effects, it is discussing, for suboxone, yet subtext, rarely any! He said they dont have subutex in canada, just suboxone, and i cant find the truth to is! I wish i would have just kept trucking, cause now husband.... are like when r u getting off....... Over here in the UK, we generally don't know what the cost of tests and drugs are, as they are covered by the NHS. But over the past 12 months I have started to learn a bit of what thing cost, and it appears that even if you go private they are considerabley cheaper than in the US which to me dosen't seem quite right.

I just started suboxone wednesday ( i know alot of people on the forums disagree with using it) but I was taking about 15/20 pills a day ranging from oxycontin,percocet,tramadol,and hydrocodone..The Suboxone has been a LIFE SAVER so far..Im not worried about withdrawal and detoxing right now because I feel that if I can go a year or so without taking my DOC then the withdrawal will be worth it b/c if i can go that long without DOC then i should be pretty well recovered..

Do not even spend your hard earned money on Suboxone. It cost around $300 a month for the drugs and over $200 for the doc. I went to my reg doc and he prescribe me Hydroxyz generic for Atarax and Phenigan. The Atarax calms withdraws and you cannot get addicted to them as you were on Suboxone. For both of my meds it cost me aroound $25 for both without health insurance. It really works. also have faith in God, he has been on my side.

They are basically the same. Suboxone has something in it to stop you from injecting it. If suboxone is injected you will go into w/d. I believe it is called Naloxone (not sure of spelling. Otherwise they are the same drug. Most doctors seem to be using the suboxone. Hope this helps.

This is interesting. I do have to say though, that $236 in India is probably worth more than $3,949 in the US. On the other hand, I'm in Italy and my recent week in the hospital didn't cost me a dime. But, anyone who doesn't want to wait months for tests that they need, etc, has to go "private" and pay out of pocket. I guess there is no perfect system in the end.

And you are right most doctors are not going to prescribe subutex unless you are in a detox or rehab place because subutex can be injected and abused while suboxone cannot. Why do you have to have subutex over suboxone?the cost of the med?

Hi SupaT, you best ooption would really be to detox from the Methadone and get clean - Shrimpman is right, Suboxone is just substituting one for another and it is very difficult to detox from, esspecially after long term use. If detox is not an option at this point, talk with a suboxone doc in Canada - if that is your only option. Don't you have suboxone on Bermuda as an option? Shrimpman - way to go, I was wondering how you were doing. Congrats on your 14 days clean time!

The 30 patient limit for Suboxone prescribing doctors has been raised to 100. So if you notice a surge of people with Suboxone questions... this is why. And it's use is likely to increase even more in the future as it becomes accepted as a better alternative to methadone and for it's use in detoxing... just putting it out there.
