Suboxone and sweating

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone and sweating

suboxone

Avatar n tn Sweating is just one of those annoying side effects of Suboxone. Some people grow more tolerant of it over time. Suboxone isn't addictive like other opiates. It is however just as dependent. Your body will become dependent on the Suboxone just like it does with any opiate. Therefore, there will be a withdrawal.
Avatar f tn so i'm on day 17 clean of no suboxone and oxy.. and althought i can sleep, have energy, and no RLS... i still have profuse sweating during the day... (none at night...) althought the sweating isnt as bad as the first week.. its still pretty noticable if i move around for a min.. my underarms are drentched... so my question is.. did anyone else have this problem at day 17? when did it go away for you? orrrr should i just get used to this as a result of prolonged opiate abuse?
Avatar f tn If you are on suboxone, no one will notice. Your eyes will not be pinned like on other opiates and will not nod off. This drug is not intended to get you high like others. It is a detox weaning drug and it does work. If you really hate being on opiates and if you really do want to free yourself of the horrible bondage, then I would heartily suggest you go on suboxone and get clean. Don't waste any more time wavering. Go for it and good luck!
Avatar f tn I have tried to detox both ways ... with suboxone and without. My opinion on suboxone is a great tool for someone who wants to stay on it for months or years, but if you are serious about getting clean, your best move is to quit C/T and never look back. Everyone experiences detox differently, but in my case, suboxone was a crutch that only led to a quick relapse. Most will tell you the best way to get off opiates is to face it head on. Two weeks from now you will be happy you did.
Avatar n tn My problem is I am constanly on fire and sweating profusely. I can be in a room that is 40 degrees and the sweat will soak my clothes. Frankly, I'm getting sick and tired of showering in the morning and 15 minutes later I'm soaked. Does anyone else have this problem or possibly know of something that I could do to prevent this? Getting off the Suboxone is not an option, at least not right now. Help!
Avatar m tn The doctor told me to continue on the clonidine and we would taper down on that once I was on a stable dose of suboxone. He said there are no harmful interactions between the two. But whenever I take the clonidine it feels like it is kicking me into withdrawal again. severe agitation anxiety racing heart dizziness and double vision. Whats going on please?
Avatar f tn If i took my last dose for the day too early i would wake up around 2-3 am and be sweating and in full wds. I sometimes had to take another smaller dose just to stop the wds.
Avatar n tn Suboxone is being used more and more for pain; it will probably be overused, and eventually the appropriate cases will be identified. The question of 'will it treat pain' is a very difficult one. It will treat pain as well as thirty mg of methadone, held at a constant level in the bloodstream, will treat pain. As you know, tolerance takes away the potency of ANY narcotic, including buprenorphine.
Avatar n tn Hello, So i stopped taking suboxone a few days ago and the worst part for me is the RLS, It hurt sooo bad 2 days ago I cried and prayed in my bed... i was addicited 2 norco and vics and then found suboxone which i thought was a miricle drug but its been hell as well...I know kind of how u feel, I mean i feel like theirs no one else but me going thru this and then i come on here and wow im not alone! I use a heating pad, I take Flexiril which is a muscle relaxer but at times it doesnt help!
Avatar f tn I know I have to keep holding on - I started heroin, b/c my boyfriend uses it IV & relapsed - thank god this only went on for a few weeks - but i am an addict of pills, crack & alcohol - I need help - what makes me mad is he is detoxing 2, but with suboxone, I am sweating it out & he seems almost normal - is it worse for IV users?
Avatar m tn I have been trying to take hot baths, hot tubs, saunas, etc to keep me sweating and trying to walk/run when I can. I received a naltroxone shot that is supposed to last 4 weeks; but I feel like my symptoms of difficulty concentrating, restlessness, and chills, are as likely to be from the naltroxone then the withdrawals. I would agree that this is a much faster recovery that trying to quit subs cold turkey, but I am wondering if anyone else has had this treatment and the results?
Avatar m tn I think that sounds good as far as steam rooms and sweating but I have w/d from suboxone not subtex and they took me down to 1mg and 1/2 of that then c/t so might go down as far as you can GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS
Avatar n tn It has only been over the last two years that I have had real fluctuations in weight- + or - 10 pounds in a month, and sweating, above the shoulders sweating, drenching my head, hair, face, dripping from my upper lip and forehead. Extreme sweating at night and severe dry month when I wake in the morning, and intermittently from time to time during the day. I will get hoarseness in my voice from time to time, and have had lingering headaches that seem to just hang around for days. My Dr.
Avatar n tn Day 1-3 of Suboxone treatment was great. Day four is horrible, I am having hot flashes, sweats, and very very tired. Will this stop? Am I taking too much or too little? Help if you can!!!!!
1427492 tn?1285304093 I plan on staying on for a month then start to taper off till I am off Everything Just like anything else you will go through withdrawals you just have to deal with it the best way you can If I didn't get on Suboxone when I did I would have lost everything my apartment, job etc. everything I worked so hard for. This will keep a needle out of my arm and be able to work and save money again.
Avatar m tn I thought for a while I was dying, I went to my primary doctor and he told me how to taper off suboxone and start the Perocet back. Within two months I went in for blood work, I had thyroid problems, low iron. I was also having severe pain in my feet, I couldn't walk for a couple of weeks and then I started trips to the ER with severe stomach pain. They call for a colonostpy and upper GI and nothing was found. No one in my family has ever had thyroid problems.
Avatar f tn Believe ever since around 2mg my body started to feel dirty. Skins real clammy. Best way for me to describe it is as if you were sweating all day and at the end of the day, your skin feels sticky, slimmy, etc. but you never even sweated. Wondering if everyone gets this feeling or if it's only long term users or is it only me??? Hahaha seriously though i may feel clean for a few hours after a shower but doesn't last. I never feel clean in my own skin.
Avatar f tn m weaning myself off by taking half pills and quarters. It seems to be working well. I have nausea and a head ache but at least the shaking and sweating have stoppped. I can't believe I got physically dependent like that so quickly! At least I know for the future so they can give me something different.
1081265 tn?1256138365 It is not safe to suddenly stop tramadol because it will cause withdrawal effects. A few of the effects are anxiety, nausea, tremor and sweating. You should contact the doctor to help you come up with a proper way to taper the dose to minimize the effects of withdrawal.
Avatar f tn I know the second and third day is ALWAYS worse, but I hope it wont be for me since I do have suboxone to soften the blow! Anyone else take suboxone for withdrawls, and if so can you tell me ow it helps or doesn't help you? Thanks for reading wish me luck, I'm determined to beat this and find a much healthier way to deal with my pain!
Avatar f tn yeah try Suboxone. It's been very successful I have heard, and with the amount of time you have been on opaite type drugs which have withdrawals similar to that of Heroin, it might be more comfortable to use a drug that was made to help people get off Opiate style drugs. the main two that help opiate dependent get off opiates are Suboxone or Methadone. But I don't reccomend methadone at all.
Avatar m tn I took two ten mg percocets at 9:00am and the 4mg of suboxone roughly 7 hours later. The last 24 hours have been absolutely agonizing. I cannot keep anything on my stomach as I vomit shortly after eating or drinking anything. I'm sweating, cannot sleep and have a headache. I realize, although I am not addicted physically to the Percs, that I am in precipitated withdrawals for 24 plus hours now. My question is how long is this going to last and will taking 4 more mg of suboxone help?
Avatar f tn I'm on day 8 from no opiates after a 5 day suboxone taper at inpatient rehab. Home now but running slight fever, like 99.3. Is that normal? I feel like crap still but I'm now wondering if it's wd or something else.
Avatar f tn No need to suffer seriously don't do that. If you can no longer get the medication and you can't get off of it without suffering go talk to a Suboxone doctor it works.
Avatar f tn From what I saw, the people that were jumping off, or in the end part of their taper (where they were literally taking a small piece), had some mild aches, some mild leg cramping, and some tummy issues, trouble sleeping, and some anxiety. That seemed to be the norm. There wasn't the full blown sweating/chills, shaking, diarrhea every 10 minutes kind of thing. So, the severity was decreased a bit. Everyone is different of course. Just don't be in a huge hurry.
Avatar n tn Hi people. I've come here to ask some questions and get some advice.I live in Cali and am currently on Suboxone and am planning to come off it over the next week and a half. I've gotten myself down to 2ml, and feel a little seedy. It's definately bearable, but am generally cold, sweating, tense. Anyway to the questions I'm down to 2ml and it's holding me, I'm not terribly uncomfortable/ in pain, it's bearable at the moment.
