Suboxone and irritability

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone and irritability

suboxone

Avatar n tn m so impatient that I may just take the Suboxone right now and find out for myself. Scary! If my arms and legs start going insane (more than they already are) I'll be back to let everyone know not to ever take Suboxone so soon after taking Tramadol.
Avatar n tn ive been clean for five days and still have rls, pain in stomach and irritability forcing me to stay bedridden! cant sleep now. please help me.
441267 tn?1211687001 the withdrawal symptoms from the vics-the ones i remember the most-the fuzzy head and the tiredness-lethargy are not there, the depression and irritability are and i think i just have to deal with that separate now.
Avatar n tn After my youngest was born I became addicted to oxycontin. I spent two years in addiction and finally got onto suboxone. I've tapered down to 4 mgs and would like to continue to taper until I'm off it altogether in the near future. I would also like to have one more child once I get off suboxone. The question I have is how does opiate use/suboxone affect the reproductive system? Can it do damage?
605458 tn?1539228808 It is unlike normal or even PMS irritability. It comes on SO fast and I act before I can stop myself. I throw things, kick things, hit things. It is embarrassing and I am afraid of it happening in public. After the event, I can see how it was inappropriate and an over-reaction. I'm too old to behave like a 13 year old throwing a tantrum. I'm wondering why my bipolar disorder has evolved into this.
1691407 tn?1332712547 Irritability and grumpiness are side effects of the interferon. My husband had both. Forgetting or being irritable over irrational things could be a side effect, or it could be HE. Check with his Hepa.
Avatar n tn Nope. Just a sign that you're pregnant. I get that way occasionally too and I'm currently overdue, which reeeaaallly helps w the irritability part. Lol.
Avatar n tn Ok Mommys I have been extremely irritable and hormonal the last two days and I just don't feel good at all. No consistent contractions but I've heard increased irritability is sometimes a sign of labor coming soon. Anyone have experience with this?!?!
Avatar f tn I'm tapering from suboxone and these are my biggest issues: no energy and crazy anxiety/ irritability but I also wanted to post this question because of how many other people I see on here struggling with the same thing. I've been told by the dr that exercise will help but omg it's so hard! I'm also taking a good vitamin supp for energy which seems to help some.
281612 tn?1190341022 Hmm interesting. I used suboxone for a couple years, quit a couple weeks ago too. I dont get the hot flashes, but I do get leg cramps and other sucky symptoms. I discovered an OTC that actually helps the milder symptoms that last a bit longer. Its called Tranquil day calming formula "caplets help relax and reduce occasional simple nervousness, tension, restlesness, and related irritability", its a mix of hops extract, valerian extract, and magnesium.
Avatar f tn Just don't take his irritability personally you may have to just stay out of his way for a while. Irritability is sooo common and very real but it's not you. And yes he will probably hurt everywhere I used to say even my hair hurt. I'm sorry you are going through this. I have taken Paxil for the irritability and Neurontin for restless legs associated with opiate withdrawal.
Avatar f tn s ? if not...tell them you have the flu and you feel really bad and irritable. that you are sorry for yelling......and you will talk to them in a couple of days...i felt really irritable off and on the whole time i tapered( 10days ) and still get that way at times...one minute i'm calm..and the next min. i'm yelling...it's hard becuz sometimes it feels like my emotions are raw and i just feel really jumpy...but it will get better!
2010625 tn?1329372056 I have started to become nervous and irritable again and it is scary. I was like that for two years straight and I really don't want to do it again. I eventually got diagnosed with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), and later with Bipolar Disorder. The only thing that made it go away was the Risperdal they put me on. Unfortunately I had to go off of it because it raised my prolactin (the hormone that makes women lactate and can also stop a womans period) level sky high.
Avatar n tn Now I successfully detox my patients from opiates (eg. morphine, Oxycontin) using regulated amounts of Suboxone and also detox my patients from Suboxone addiction when that drug has been misused. I have found that the optimal time to have someone on Suboxone is between 20 and 25 days, tapering down on the medication every few days. This makes the physical symptoms of detox very manageable, without causing the patient to become cross-addicted to Suboxone.
Avatar f tn Hey Thanks for all the responses everyone. I looked into suboxone and it seems like trading one addiction for another. I spoke with my doctor after going through a day or so of decent withdrawals, and they prescribed me Thorazine. It doesnt do a whole lot, but it makes it a little less uncomfortable I guess... I decided to look at it as if Ive gotten the Flu and knowing that it will get better, just like a flu would seems to help.
1141981 tn?1261076243 Hi. I have taken Suboxone and Subutex hear and there and finally went with the program for 1 year. I did exactly what the doctor said to do and found that in about 8 months in, I began to form anxiety problems which made it hard to interact with people and caused my jaw to lock up during conversation and it made me sweat extra. I noticed that some of my friends who where on Suboxone had the same problem around the same time that it happened to me.
Avatar m tn m a heathy eater, eating lots of super foods for energy and over all health, but my insomnia is horrible due to the Suboxone and I urinate a lot, I have irritability amongst other things. I believe in plant based medicine and holistic healing, but it just seems impossible to get of subs, even taking a little crumb. Due to the long term use I've learned it is a completely different battle. PLEASE HELP. What is the remedy for this?
1358284 tn?1277930715 Suboxone has been an excellent experience for me personally but some people have different views on this. If you have exhausted all other measures to stay clean, then I would reccomend suboxone treatment. The only reason I say this is suboxone can be somewhat difficult to come off of when you are ready to, and can be quite costly if you dont have good insurance.
Avatar n tn It seemed like right after I took it I got physically ill and then the body aches and irritability started getting worse. I said I was on 2.5 suboxone correction it is 2 mg no idea how I got that one. Anyway, I tried taking half in morning afternoon 1 pill a day 1 and a half 2 it was crazy. Today I was at work and losing it...very irritable and jumpy nerves-no body aches or real bad nausea.
Avatar n tn I had been taking 10 Vicodin per day on and off for a couple of years, and was feeling more anxiety and irritability when my Psychiatrist suggested Suboxone. My initial W/D aches, pains, and heavy depression had subsided, for the most part. I feel like I was mislead. (And it cost A LOT of money!) Does anyone have suggestions/insights?
Avatar n tn My step down program with suboxone has been going well I have dealt with the irritability, no sleep, and oh my goodness the tired feeling for some time. I started the program 4 months ago and each time I have reduce the amount I have taken a day even though the doctor says to take more. I want out for ever. at the end here for 3 weeks I took .5 mg once a day. Then the doctors says go one day .5 then one day none. I went one day .5 then one day none and then the next day .
Avatar n tn He went through horrid withdrawals many times and when my grandfather found out he got a prescription for suboxone to help him recover from his addiction. At times of desperate need to get high he would even grind up the suboxone pills and inject them. He eventually stopped Heroin use for good but continued taking the Suboxone. Now here is the weird part….
441267 tn?1211687001 s coming because the first thing I notice, is certain smells start to bother me, then your sense of taste starts to bother you and then you get the whole irritability and anxiety, not able to sleep, etc, etc. It just takes time for your receptors to get used to the lower dose. Then you will start to feel better. But please, let me be the poster boy or example here for why people should not let your doctor keep you on this for long term. I've been on it for 4 years..
1176246 tn?1415011917 About 6 months ago I started seeing a Dr. that was very encouraging, understanding and realistic. However, the company that he worked for decided that they will no longer treat patients for suboxone. In my very rural area there aren't many options of seeing other doctors. I was prescribed 16mg of Suboxone, 2mg of K-Pin, 10 mg zolpidem, 30mg mirtazapine, 150mg wellbutrin, .02mg clonidine and probably some more stuff.
Avatar f tn I used to be involved in running the San Francisco clinic system but as the task became less and less about improving care and more and more about deciding which necessary services to cut I got out. What happens in such a system is that those who stay are sometimes those who are most burned out or cynical.
Avatar n tn Hello. My name is Ed. I have Bipolar II. I was diagnosed in 2005 and stabilized with Lamictal and Abilify. However, I've never really gotten a handle on irritability. Although I've dealt with anxiety and depression, those have more or less been managed. But I still find myself having uncontrolled irritability, and I get crazy over things that wouldn't make a normal person crazy (chirping of car alarms, people whistling, other stupid stuff).
