hi, i am a suboxone user for 3 years and starting to taper down slowly. i am currently on 1mg morning and 1 mg evening. Yesterday i was prescribed tramadol by a different doctor for my pain and migraine. What i need to know is if it is OK to take tramadol while i am on suboxone? i am afraid that if i take tramadol tonight, the next morning when i dose my suboxone i will feel a very discomfort feeling or withdrawal.
I'm a 49 year old married mother of 3 who is hopelessly addicted to ultram.. it started 5 years ago when it was perscribed to me after surgery, and now I take up to 30 pills a day. I have made copies of perscriptions, gone to countless ER's, and switched primary care MD's about 100 times so they wouldn't catch on. I've spent literally thousands of dollars on online perscriptions (my dogs go crazy when they see a FedEx truck).
I asked my doc if I could get back on it while taking Suboxone and he said yes and perscribed it to me again. My question is if I should be taking these two meds together or not? I know my doc perscribed them to me but I can't help but question if it's ok. Does anyone have any takes on this? I am taking 8mg Sub 2x daily and 30mg Adderall 2x daily right now.
I have been on suboxone for 3 years. Yesterday, I had 2 teeth pulled and my mother in law gave me some tramadol. Without even thinking (and I think I was under the impression that it wasn’t an opioid) I took a 50mg. My question is.. when can I safely take my suboxone dose?
I should also add that I took the tramadol at 1:30pm and it is now 9:00pm and I have not taken any of my next suboxone dose yet. I quickly realized I may have screwed up.
I can't follow your original post. Are you taking both Diluadids and Suboxone and/or wanting to? Like TrayCee said, Suboxone's is primarily used for withdrawal. Are you seeing two different doctors?

Not being a doctor, a pharmacist or a chemist, I can't even begin to hazard a guess as to the safety of mixing these two meds.
Suboxone is a pretty strong opoiod for pain and Klonopin is used for panic disorder (and seizures)
Have you been prescribed the Klonopin? If so, I am going to assume that the prescribing doc is aware of your use of Suboxone. I would hope so at any rate. If not, they need to be informed poste haste!
Your last question about how long it would take to ‘feel’ agonists after Suboxone… it would depend, of course, on the dose of agonist, the type of agonist, and the dose of Suboxone. The bottom line is that it always takes much longer than people expect. I have had a couple people who needed to go back to agonists for pain, and they said something similar to each other– that even after weeks off the suboxone, they could never get the same old ‘euphoric’ feeling again.
I am looking for anyone who has knowledge or experience with Suboxone and affects on the menstrual cycle. I have been taking suboxone prescribed since january. My periods have been relatively normal since, 3-5 days, light, sometimes normal. Last month (march) I only got a one day verrry light period. I have not had anything since. I last had unprotected sex with my ex in the beginning of march. My period is due in the middle of the month. I took 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative.
I dont know anything about Lyrica other than a cousin takes it for fibro and it works well for her. Regarding suboxone how much are you taking? For how long have you been on it? I did not gain weight on suboxone, but it did make me tired alot and nod at times. Maybe this is why you've gained weight? Do you take it for pain or as a maintenance drug? Kicking suboxone is very possible. I am 6 months clean from 2 1/2 years on suboxone.
