strong stomach pain during the night

I also have the pain that you discribe, It has actually drove me crazy for 2 years now. I have been to every type of doctor you can think of and taken about every test around. I see an Orthopedic Sergon for lower back problems and the other day I pulled a muscle in my Butt, I realized that it was shooting from my butt through my stomach (Ovary area) and down into my vaginal area. I tried to tell My Doctor but he just looked at me funny.

At first I thought it was heartburn or indegestion, but I could not relieve the pain with antacids. The pain persisted through the next day, despite liquid antacids and zantec. I went to see the dr. on the thrid day. She suspected gallstones and sent me for tests. The ultrasound and blood tests came back OK. On the next day I was referred for a gallbladder ejection fraction test. My ejection fraction came back at 56%, though I had pain during the ejection portion of the test.

Midwife told me I have strong stomach muscles but never said if it was a good or bad thing,is a good for labour/birth?....any opinions out there?

If I lie on my right side my left side suffers a strong jab of pain and if I lie on my left side, the pain is opposite. If I just endure it ( because I only sleep on my side) then after a while the pain subsides. Put crudely it feels like a piece of wood across the base of my ribs when I lie down and thus causes the opposite pain. I've wondered if it was my large intestine, my stomach, my liver or even my kidneys. Do any of these symptoms make sense to you.

I have recently begun to wake during the night due to pain in my lower body that I attribute to the o-arthritis. I mean, one minute I am sleeping, and the next minute I am awake and in lots of pain - especially in my knees and my legs. As you can imagine, this is very disruptive, and I feel as though this crazy arthritis is taking over and ruining my life!! I'm a side sleeper, and I've noticed that I will also experience a lot of pain if I don't switch sides frequently.

He used to wake up and throw up on a daily basis. He is fine during the day. He is not getting a good nights sleep and the pain is really bad.

So I have this job ths requires heavy lifting. I've been able to do it before but lately I've been getting strong pains in my stomach when moving the boxes. Is this ok and natural or should I go get checked out and maybe get some restrictions?

We had black, tarry/watery diarrhea for a number of days. I went to the ER for massive pain in the Solar Plexus region during the time when I was basically over the diarrhea and getting back to normal again. I have had an MRI and contrast CT scan. Appendicitis and Pancreatitis was ruled out by various doctors. They scanned every organ in my abdomen. Nothing. The ER said to go see a Gastroenterologist. A couple of weeks ago I had an Upper Endoscopy of the stomach and duodenum.

Hi Guys, My girlfriend has lower stomach pain and a lot of bloating in the lower stomach since the beginning of the year. Whenever she is getting close to having her period and during her period the pain completely subsides. Moreover, she is living in the UAE and was for 2 month over the summer in Canada where the pain subsided as well. She then did two Colonoscopies. The first one couldn't be completed and the doctor wasn't very good.

Ok thanks for the tip I hope it gets better for I have a cousin that said she had pain till around four months when she started showing and then they went away a lot of ppl tell me its your body going thru the changes ... I mostly get them at night which is annoying I rather deal with it during the day than at night when I want to sleep .. ill bring up to my Dr when I see her for my first obgyn appt they said im still to early gotta be atleast 6- 7 weeks ...

Most of the night its felt like heads been pushing down causing a lot of pressure along with stomach cramps. I really feel like I need to release my bowels but had no success. I lost my plug on tuesday and my underwear has been slightly wet and is a different smell to normal what do people think?

She pretty much felt fine during the day but would get woke up in the middle of the night from high blood pressure, feeling faint, etc. She was rushed to the ER several times over about a 2 month period & it was always blamed on stress, panic attacks or whatever!

I am 37 weeks pregnant, I have been to the hospital 3 times in the past month with strong stomach pains that lasts from 1-3 hours long! They are not contractions, its a constant pain, my back HURTS at the same time. The e.r. does not see anything wrong and they keep sending me home. Has anyone else experienced this? Same here it just happened and idk what to do he's 4 and has autism and he gets sick every month like clockwork and he gets a stomach virus often on n off and he vomits in the middle of the night too idk what to do anymore the Dr's don't know what it is they say it'll pass if anyone knows please post why or anything

Im 36 weeks and get extreem stomach pains at night. Its really hard cramps.and emptying my bladder doesnt work. Turning on my side makes it worst and laying on my back is crippling. Helpppp dr.can never see me. First baby too..help?

In my first pregnancy I slept on my tummy til I was 6mo I know its super dangerous but I couldn't sleep any other way. Just be careful you don't wanna risk suffocating your baby and possibly having a miscarriage. :0 Your probably having pain because your uterus is growing and being in the same position all night you haven't stretched it out, where as during the day you help stretch it by doing daily tasks.

Am 8weeks pregnancy, and I feel pain in my stomach during night..ultasound seems th baby is okey.but I do know why I feel so much pain.is it ok for the first pregnancy or is there any problem.?

It is really bad that I have to wash the sheets the nexted day. I have to get up because the smell is strong.

I'm glad you asked because I'm having the same problem! I have also found laying on my left side is the most comfortable position. Just try different things and see what's comfortable for you!

Well the pain comes and goes its not strong enough for it to be contractions but its strong enough for it to bother me

I used to get the same thing , it sounds a little normal I get Braxton hicks ALOT & with the pressure . As long as you're not getting painful Braxton hicks where you feel like you can't walk or talk threw the contractions you're fine .

omg ok so im 32wks and last night i had the worst night. i have never expirenced anything this painful before. so i was laying down sleeping and all of a sudden i get these real strong cramps i have no idea what they were i just figured well maybe i have to use the bathroom and i tried and i couldnt go. so i sat there crying my eyes out from so much pain they were come and go cramps and they were like less than a min apart i was so scared my baby was gonna come out.

I know it varies and im getting a lot of symptoms like pain in my stomach and lower back and the past two times ive eaten ive thrown up and had a BM. It's constant but I cant really stand up and im getting really uncomfortable and I cant switch laying positions without it hurting. But there arent waves of pain. My stomach occasionally tightens but not for long.

I had 2 really bad hours last night where it felt like I was hot and cold at the same time and the stomach stuff started. I paced, I drank some vitamin water, and I kept reminding myself that it will pass. Thankfully exhaustion and valium kicked in and I got some decent sleep. Ready to face the rest of Day 2...
