Avatar m tn I have taken Plavix since an mi and stroke in June of 2003. I had another stroke in 2006 though, but it only affected my ability to understand the spoken word (aphasia). I am much better especially around my family, but still sometimes have problems communicating with strangers. I see that you are taking some type of cholesterol lowering drug, which I never found out what the ingredients was. It is used in India a lot....
Avatar m tn I knew many elderly people when I was young, had great grandparents who lived into their 80s and 90s, and only one of them was 'demented' -- she had a stroke when in her 40s and was not quite right in the head after that. Where does the current epidemic of Alzheimers come from? I don't know, but I do wonder ....) Another point: a different spirochetal bacterium (not the one that causes Lyme) causes syphilis.
97676 tn?1340408973 if her approach -the workbooks, the carry cards, the CD's and all the rest of it "connect" with you in terms of how you would feel best about handling your recovery, then give it a shot (but do it at Ebay). But bear in mind that there are no medicinal or magical properties to the 75 cents worth of plastic and paper you'll get. If it "works" at all, it will do so because YOU did the work.
Avatar f tn so i'll hold on to some hope. today i started feeling a burning sensation, seems like there are steps in the recovery hopefully its recovering.
Avatar f tn I am also a Diabetic with a Pituitary Microadenoma and the thought of a stroke or blocked artery terrifies me. Even though I am only 27. My husband and I will make a trip to the doctor hopefully this week to get it checked out. I have been under alot of stress the past few weeks and stumbled accross this thread. Hopefully it will not be anything serious.
Avatar f tn But didn't have enough other serious medical problems to hinder my recovery from the COPD. I wish you the best - you are in the same position my children were and I am so sorry now for what I put them thru but I am lucky enough that I was able to tell them how badly I feel for that.
Avatar m tn I went to work and everyone there is saying my I was having a heart attack or a stroke or something else really bad. I ended up going home early because the longer I sat there and listen to them the worse it felt. So I went home to clear my head and try and figure out what my problem really is... ... and I ended up here reading this blog saying to myself holy s#*t that's exactly what I experience! So great I have an anxiety problem... lovely... now what do I do?

Avatar n tn six months later the insurance pays around 100$ to the physician. Regarding the patients health or recovery.... was that ever a concern in the first place? It is a messed up system, and physicians do it all the time without any consideration of the longterm ramifications. That is one of the reasons I prefer to work outside of the US. Although, I am licensed in the US, currently I do not work there. But bashing on me concerning the situation as if I am some how responsable is senseless.
Avatar n tn M and let me tell you, the pain that I experience while trying to sleep, it's like having a stroke. Those informations retrieved from you all have helped me realize that other people share the same pain and together we can fight this by getting informations and sharing them among us .And I also experience that more often, when I am really tired and have a busy schedule next day, anxiety, stress related, and the week before having my menstrual period.
Avatar n tn hi, sorry that you had to join us here, but glad you found us. What did the neurologist say about polyneuropathy? recovery time? any instructions for follow-up? did you get any meds? Seriously think about going to a naturopath for extra health support, get someone to call and drive you there. Also, go see your medical doctor if you feel that you have worsened. I got the flu shots on Nov 5th and there have been days that I felt that I went "backwards" and then I would improve again.
Avatar m tn I have had a cat scan which turned up nothing abnormal and have been referred to a neurologist by both the optician and my dr. By some stroke of luck there was a cancellation for the neurologist so I am able to get in tomorrow. There was apparently nothing wrong with my eye but the optician did feel that something was wrong with my optic nerve (can't remember if he said it was swollen or something was pushing onto it?
Avatar n tn You're right, a lot of these biopsies turn out benign. That is the good news. Unfortunately, unless they do a biopsy they don't know if the suspicious area is benign or malignant. They just can't tell the difference through mammo and us. That means many of us will have benign biopsies, but it also means many will have their cancer caught at an early stage where it is easier to treat and has a better survival rate. I put my faith in God, also.
Avatar n tn Has anyone out there found out what all this is? I have been taking Valium because even though I can not breathe it makes me not worry about it as much.
