It is very disconcerting if you have to interact with the public. Sometimes oral prednisone will make this go away, but prednisone has many side effects. Needless to say you need an in-person evaluation by a neurologist, but between me, you and the wall, they will probably recommend a period of watchful waiting.

Has anyone else experienced Monitor Side Effects? The following day after wearing the Monitor I experienced dizzy spells and light headedness. This was not suggestiveness as I never expected this reaction nor had anyone mentioned such a thing. And this surprise had nothing at all to do with why I was monitoring my heart. It persisted for two weeks while I was monitoring in the given manner. I took the Monitor off after that time and the dizzyness gradually went away.

I've found that Aggrenox seems to work without side effects. It's primarily baby aspirin, but also contains a drug that prevents platelets from sticking together. I've taken it twice a day since my stroke, and it appears to work, but who ever knows?

Do the new drugs come with their own side effects besides the ones that soc come with? Not sure if I asked that right, I'm still waiting for everything to come together but if the new meds come with even worse side effects than one might already get maybe that's another reason to treat now.

I think u may not be able to sleep cos ur bp is too high and thats quite dangerous, usually i cant get any sleep if my bp rises above 150/90. Side effects of atenolol for me are slow pulse, weak erection, weakness and tiredness, confusion, difficulty taking quick decisions.

Pain medications have numerous side effects and those who do take pain meds on a regular basis do usually have some kind of depression due to the fact that they do have chronic pain but as far as the meds causing depression or bipolar no I do not believe so.

I am in the Lambda Phase IIB study and have a few side effects. Of the list of common side effects that are discussed on the forum, what are you opinions? Definitely bring it to the attention of your physician. As chemo treatments go on, risks for infection and other side effects rise. So, I disagree with japdip. The effects of the chemo can be cumulative creating symptoms later in the process that weren't present in the beginning.

Please tell me you found out what causes this? If not, have you gotten well? I am going through a terrible time with this with no help from the doctor, but mine has advanced from what you have posted.

The only thing I can say is when you get your chemo, drink lots of water and flush it out of your system as quick as you can. The Neulasta shot causes these painful side effects but you need your blood levels to stay high so... it's worth it, really. When I was hurting at least I knew it was working. Hello, It is true that accutane has plenty of side effects. It may cause cheilitis and dry lips but thinning of skin and hair loss are less frequent side effects. From your symptoms first of all hypothyroidism should be ruled out. The second possibility to be ruled out is of vitamin D deficiency.

You are putting yourself at serious risk for a stroke, not to mention major strain on your heart. Believe me, the side effects of a major stroke, assuming it doesn't just kill you, are way worse than the side effects of these drugs. I hope your family is supportive as you may need caregivers. It takes a lot of trial and error sometimes to find the right combination to control hypertension. Sometimes, if not all the time, we all have to put up with side effects in order to live.

too much of these drugs/sub or subutes carry lots of side effects..and doctors seem to oer prescribe sub..too much causes drowsiness, fogginess etc..

This is the exact same thing as a Statin without the dangerous side effects. In fact, it is the main ingredient in Lovastatin, but, the labs have not had a chance to ruin it, therefore, it is safe. I would try this and see how it works, it might be the answer you are looking for.

Does anyone know if repeated ankle swelling on the affected side is normal after a stroke? My recovery has gone really well, all things considered, but my left ankle almost always swells daily and then goes down overnight - looks great in a.m. I still have numbness/neuropathy in it, too, though improved. Are these related and what can I do? Has anyone had success in getting all feeling back in toes, bottom of foot, etc? I'll try almost anything!!
