Common Questions and Answers about Stroke after childbirth

stroke

3917844 tn?1348593639 Three years ago I suffered a stroke. Due to my stroke I was told that birth control or extra estrogen could promote another stroke so I elected to have my fallopian tubes removed as to not have to worry about birth control. I didn't notice any significant change, just a couple of added lbs but that was it. This however has had a significant impact on me and I'm trying to understand why. Am I being ridiculous or overly emotional?
Avatar f tn If you have things like eclampsia or HELLP syndrome your BP can cause you to have a stroke, however the most common cause is hemorrhage and blood loss.

Avatar f tn The most common reasons for not feeling a full bladder that would apply to you (I assume you have not had a stroke, or gone through childbirth) are: Pelvic injury/ trauma Impaired muscle or nerve function due to medication Accidents that injure the brain or spinal cord Blood tests and an ultrasound wouldn't show those, and the doctors you have consulted would not be the ones to check for trauma to the brain or spinal cord.
Avatar f tn I never wanted kids before mainly because i didnt want to go through childbirth. Now I'm 14 weeks and i tell my boyfriend everyday that I'm just cry the whole time and that i dont think i can do it. i dont do pain. not one bit. i even refuse to have my wisdom teeth pulled for this reason. i just dont think i can do it....does anyone else feel/felt this way?!
Avatar n tn I'm 23 and 3b months postpartum with my first son. I am still bleeding from childbirth and have gotten the Depo shot about a month ago to try to stop the bleeding. I also have a non-hormonal IUD for birth control. The shot gave me symptoms of ppd so I'm not to take it again for the bleeding. Anyway, my problem is that the last few nights, my legs will jerk involuntary, like I'm running but I'm laying down.

1900462 tn?1352775302 Because right now i cant even nest or take a childbirth class nothing and im thinking 30weeks is a good cutoff date to get out in time for baby? Please help.
Avatar f tn I'm not scared of childbirth as much as I am of being a mom for the first time. I know it's gona hurt, like that's a given lol. I wana try to go natural no pain meds, but I'm a baby when it comes to pain so idk how that will work. But our bodies are made for childbirth , if we couldn't handle it we wouldn't be able to have multiple children.
