162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
743543 tn?1268766823 [9] Though cocoa butter is an effective moisturizer, no research studies have shown its ability to either prevent stretchmarks, or to reduce their appearance once a stretch mark has already formed. Various treatments are available for the purpose of improving the appearance of existing stretch marks, including laser treatments, dermabrasion, and prescription retinoids.
Avatar n tn I have been hospitalized numberous times for pain management and stone removal. Sometimes I have all they symptoms (nausea, frequent urination, burning sensation, fever, etc.) of a kidney infection or stones and sometimes I just get the pain and the nausea. I have been hopsitalized for a few days to 2 1/2 weeks for my kidneys.
Avatar n tn Has anybody gone through rectal/anal skin tag removal? I had one removed by my doctor in his office. He used lidocaine (6 shots that were unbelievable painful) to numb the area and cut it off and cauterized the area. I'm having a rough time - I feel like I have the worst hemorroid flare up going on right now. I'm taking colace and fiber supplement, drinking plenty of water and began using the Desitin a few days before they recommended I start.
Avatar n tn I had one laser treatment but it was a freebie and did nothing (SmartXide Dot laser) I've done all this for well over a year and NOTHING has improved. I look like a 40-year-old with an 80-year-old's arms. I live in Canada, so have more opportunity to cover my arms than someone living in Florida and cover them I do. I am embarrassed by them. I feel shocked when I look in the mirror. So ladies, I empathize fully. If I find a solution, I will post for you all.
Avatar f tn they did a biopsy shortly after i did this post, and nothing specific came back. i've had it treated w/ medication (pills and topical) and also laser and it'll seem to look a little better for a few days but then i'm almost to square 1. it just will not seem to heal. just today they decided to do a second biopsy, because they also find it odd and worrisome. they did diagnose me with rosacea b/c in general i am very pink with capillaries close to the skin.
Avatar f tn I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it is possible you will never gain feeling. I had a "average" removal of my wisdom teeth (impacted).. I stayed awake through the procedure( not a great idea) Next month it will be a year since I have have had any feeling in the right side of my tongue, and severe nerve damage over my entire bottom gums and my right upper face... nerves are weird...My days are a constant battle of pain and burning sensations...
Avatar n tn I wonder if laser hair removal is an option. At this point, I'd go for that if it would stop these painful lumps.
298579 tn?1192250448 Yet another woman here, relieved to find she's not alone. I've had the same symptoms since age 33, and I'm 53 now. Mine started when I had a botched laser cone biopsy of my cervix which left my cervix a mass of scar tissue. I always assumed that my pain had something to do with my screwed up cervix. My symptoms were so weird that I never mentioned them to my doctor. I've done a bunch of Google searches but never got the right one to get any information.
Avatar n tn With regard to EK being linked to stress, I think that it may be as I have had this condition for about 15 years, and it started when I was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid, my hands used to get very sweaty, 18 months later I had a partial thyroid removal and still the condition persisted. Sometimes in the winter it does improve for a week or two, but as I am now prone to feeling the cold, I tend to wear gloves which keep my hands warm and so it starts up again.
Avatar n tn Her breasts had gained a cup size and she now had stretch marks on her thighs and hips. All of this was worse than the PMS!! Even though the Drs. wouldn't admit that the heart palpitations were due to the pill- we know they were. She stopped taking the pill in June and without dieting; her weight went back down to 98 lbs., the palpitations disappeared, her emotions calmed down and the sensitivity on her legs were almost gone by Aug 2007. What an experience!!
Avatar m tn I notified all of my doctors when I realized what was going on and they all told me that the belief that mercury fillings cause migraines was quackery and that insurance would not pay for the removal. They all wanted to give me drugs to mask the symptoms. At the beginning of 2009 I decided to just pay out of my pocket to have the fillings removed. I then followed the removal with a heavy metal detox called HMD.
