Avatar f tn Can someone please help me understand my recent Stress test findings: Images show mild intensity small-sized defect, located in the distal anterior and apical wall. Rest images show no change of the defect compared to the stress images. This defect suggests infarction vs. artifact in the wall. Gated SPECT imaging demonstates abnormal septal motion of the distal anterior and apical wall. The left ventricular ejection fraction was calculated to be 56%.
493068 tn?1224765315 In the first, the sensitivity (it goes down to) of the test was down to 615. Meaning that you viral load was not higher than 615. It could not have detected say 400. In the second one, much more sensitive, it could not reveal as few as 11. I think the test you had was Quest's Hepatitis C Viral RNA Quantative bDNA with Reflex to Quantative TMA .
Avatar m tn Did you have a stress test with imaging? If so these things are about 97% accurate in finding heart disease. The next test would be an angiogram which carries a very real risk of complication and I doubt anyone would do one without additional symptoms. You may be best served by getting a second opinion.
Avatar m tn I know that. I want to take it for peace of mind after my negative at 13 weeks. I have a persistent oral candidiasis that does not go away and two ID doctors say I have to test at 6 months for conclusive results... I can't really stress like that for another 3 months time. I would die of stress. How likely is for a VL test to give a false positive? I want it as a confirmatory test only.
Avatar m tn The doctor referred to it as an extra heartbeat, which apparently is a PVC. He ordered a stress test on me (I had one done a year ago and it was fine). He said this time the stress test came back somewhere in the middle. Not bad, not great so he wants to do an Angiogram to find out why I am experiencing this arrhythmia. He scared me because he spoke of blockages and surgery and all that. Of course he also said that it may come up clean and the arrhythmia is not related to a blockage.
Avatar n tn I assume you had some kind of stress test? either stress echo or a nuclear scan? I say this because unless you match the heart motion in 2 states, relaxed vs stressed, you can't tell if it's reversible or not. So, you have 2 good words here 'mild' and 'reversible'. Mild means the heart wall is not affected much and reversible means the lack of blood flow is only occurring when the heart is under load showing there is sufficient flow at rest.
Avatar m tn 2 tests show undetectable viral load, so they coudl not do genotype. I was referred to a specialist and I got copies of the test results a month before my appointment to review the results. Two tests stand out, but I am uclear as to what they mean. Is anyone familiar with these? All liver functions normal on other tests. HCV AB 11.0 High S/CO Ratio 0.0-0.
Avatar n tn Myocardial perfusion scan. During this procedure, you exercise on a treadmill or pedal a stationary bicycle. When you reach your maximum heart rate, you're given the injection. Images are made of your heart shortly after exercise and also a few hours later. This test shows how well blood flows into the heart muscle and can detect narrowing of the coronary arteries (coronary artery disease). Appropriate for vessel occlusions...ischemia that may cause angina (chest pain).
1470597 tn?1286869087 ,based on the info he gave me on symptoms of his illness and the questionable test results due to having a poss. autoimmune disease as well as being over-vaccinated for 14yrs by the military.I insisted he be retested after I put him on a high-fiber diet (only) and took him off Atripla. After not taking Atripla for approx. 3mths his VL went down by 300,which has confused his "doctor".MY QUESTION: What are the similarities/differences between Anti-HIV1,0.2+p24-Ag Abbott,4.Genaratio(pos.
Avatar n tn 1) No. 2) No. 3) The PCR test IS the viral load test. Therefore, it is always negative if the viral load is below the limit of detection. But that never happens in people with untreated early HIV infection, so it's irrelevant to your situation. 4) Yes; infected people with undetectable viral loads always have positive antibody test results. 5) These symptoms are irrelevant. They do not suggest HIV or any other STD.
Avatar m tn I would think you would be focusing on your critical 8-week viral load test results. You had a very good viral load drop just from interferon and ribavirin by week 4. That drop is a good indicator of treatment success. The sooner your viral load is undetectable the better chance of SVR. Week 8 is the most critical week for people that treat with Victrelis.
238010 tn?1420406272 I went through the exact same questions and thoughts you have...Ultimately I decided to continue to use the rna rt-pcr (taqman-mayo clinic down to 10 iu) I actaully had both tests you described at the same blood draw and got 2 different results, the one down to 615 (HCV quant) gave a 1248 iu/ml, the one down to 10 (RNA Qual) gave a result of 2000 iu/ml...
Avatar m tn I am new to this forum but I have been through TX twice. I was scheduled for my 12 month viral load test in Feb. but with the new Obama care my insurance will be canceled the 1st of Jan. and I am not sure if I will have coverage by then so I had my GP do the test early. I did not get to talk to him today he told his nurse that the viral load was high but he said once before and my liver Doc. said it wasn't. I tried to get in touch with his assistant but couldn't.
Avatar m tn Just recently had exercise stress test, was told by my doctor results were fine. { family doctor not cardiologist } read report review of ECG demonstrated no significant ST or T-WAVE changes with exercise into recovery. Infrequent PVCs were noted during study. Patient achieved total work load of 13.4 Mets. Patient experienced no chest pain with exercises or into recovery. Normal St segment and hemodynamic response to symptom- limited exercise.
469210 tn?1219188128 Since you know your viral load, you have already had your Pcr test. This was a quantitative Pcr which measures VL as opposed to qualitative Pcr which checks for only the presecne of Hcv. A VL of 8,478,000 is fairly high, I think.
Avatar n tn LDL(lower detection limit-10copies/ml) what is the meaning i was thinking i have viral load less than ldl pls help me in the same i do aidsscan test that test came back directly negative pls help i have more anxiety
Avatar f tn It was " suggested " that I have a stress test. It's not mandatory so I'm wondering if I should have one done at all. Has anyone had a stress test? If so what did the results reveal?
Avatar f tn I have an apt today to do a stress test since am over due. I want to go in there informed, does anyone know what it is or whats going to happen?
