Stress test results your heart

Common Questions and Answers about Stress test results your heart

Avatar m tn I just completed a tread mill stress test and a nuclear stress test. Briefly, the results are: 1) attained 100% target heart rate, no chest pains, no arrhythmia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) Moderate size infereior ischemia 4.) ECG is positive for ischemia at good workload (reached heart rate of 143). I've formed a preliminary impression from my research on the Internet, but I would appreciate professional feedback. I am scheduled for a heart catheterization. Thank you.
Avatar n tn yes, the time involved is not the factor, what is important is that you reach the pulse rate which they require before injecting the contrast dye into you. If you take 30 seconds or 40 minutes, it doesn't matter. They want to scan the heart when under stress which is based on your heart rate. I wish my first nuclear scan was as easy as yours, I had to walk on the treadmill for 15 mins and it was going quite fast and nearly vertical.
Avatar f tn test with myocardial perfusion imaging revealed mild to moderate ischemia involving the basal anterior septum and mid anterior septal walls. He is status post recent (4/7/08) four-vessel bypass graft with a LIMA to the LAD. My husband has been labeled a walking piece of plaque by his cardiologist. With his open-heart surgery being so recent, with him being diabetic, and he has never had any symptoms of his illness - should this recent test be looked into further by your opinion?
Avatar m tn Family doc sent me to cardiologist and who had me do the nuclear stress test. I got my results today and a little confused.... The EKG shows mild depression and the doc said he thinks it's fine and couldn't really give me an answer as to why it was abnormal. The stress test findings were: The overall quaility of the study is good. The rotating raw images reveal breast attenuation. The right ventricle appears normal.
1491262 tn?1288413065 The test appropriate for evaluation of pumping ability would be to analyze the degree of heart wall movement impairment from thd prior heart attack. Apparently, the stress stress was a perfusion test to view the blood flow at rest and during exercise. With exercise there is a higher demand for blood/oxygen and the test results would help determine the degree of blockage, etc.
Avatar m tn the dubotomine stress test prior to the stenting said it showed positive for ischemia affecting heart wall in three places. EF was 70.19%. What was notable about this test was that I am perfectly normal at low and medium dose of the dubotamine. Maybe I should lust live like that - low and medium pulse? All the grim looking stats came at high dose with pulse at 120. That's high for an 81-year-old? It would take me a fair sprint along the road to get it up to that level.
Avatar m tn I recently took a treadmill stress test and nuclear stress test. Basically, the conclusions are that I have: 1) moderate size inferior ischemia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) ECG is positive for ischemia at a good workload. No chest pains, no arrhythmia. I've research the Internet and have reached a tentative first impression, but would appreciate any professional feedback on the above three conclusions. I am being scheduled for a heart catheterization. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I think it is important to have a game plan with your doc. Sounds like your heart is OK, it is only a possible infarct, because it is so distal in the arteries it is hard to tell for sure. You can improve your outcomes by focusing on a cardiac rehabilitation program. See if your doctor can get you into one or find something online.

1076228 tn?1256348980 However, comparing the trace elements injected at rest at during the high heart rate period of the stress test may show that there is a blockage of an artery and during exercise, your heart is not getting enough blood in parts of it. The cath will give the doctor specific answers. I'd try to stress about it, but the period of time after a stress test and before a cath is always a worrisome time, I've gone through that a number of times.
Avatar n tn t agree on why I did so well on the stress test. Q. Can some one do this well on a stress test, ie 13.5 minutes and still have major heart problems? What's next?
Avatar f tn No significant EKG changes during vasodilator stress test. 2. Normal post stress resting left ventricular wall motion and ejection fraction of about 77%. 3. Mildly severe fixed defect involving the apical anterior wall, likely breast attenuation. 4. No reversible defects noted to indicate ischemia.
907729 tn?1244174363 I have been having chest pains and shortness of breath and the feeling that I am full. I am on many meds. I had another stress test and I am just not real sure of what the results all mean. Tried talking to my doctor, but he didn't explain it real well. he just said he wants to do another catherization. I was wondering if you can explain my results for the nuclear Spect Imaging Study? Findings: 1. Left ventricle appears at least borderline enlarged.
Avatar m tn m not sure that is in keeping with a DO may wish to ask). A stress test may be to assess your cardiovascular system under chemically induced stress and whether or not that triggers arrhythmia. Osteopathic medicine is dedicated to treating and healing the patient as a whole, rather than focusing on one system or body part.
Avatar f tn I am new here. I am 44 and overweight, never smoked. Have had a lot of brain surgeries for Chiari Malformation/Hydrochepalus. Recently I have had shortness of breath...and so test showed low oxygen saturation upon exherstion. Test of lung were unremarkable...except for a "floppy" trachea that collapse by 50% on exhaling. Just has a chemical stress test done and am waiting to see a cardiologist on Friday.
Avatar m tn Ziopatch heart rhythm monitor is; "Borderline Normal." Supraventricular ectopics in isolation, couplet and triplet. Ventricular ectopics in isolation and couplet. Ventricular Bigeminay was present (longest 2 sec) Min HR = 56 bpm Ave HR= 84 bpm Max HR=152 bpm (sinus tach at 2:16 pm on 2/16/2014) On the 6th of March I had a Echo done. Here are some of the results. Study Quaility: Poor Summary: Concentric left ventricular hypertrophy. There is Tricuspid regurgitation.
Avatar m tn t going to do the test. I finally got it down and they did the test. They managed to get my heart rate up to the 140 beats they wanted. I am awaiting the results. Monday was a holiday here. My Dr told me to book a follow up in Nov but I haven't done it yet. I was going to do it this week but today the office called and said they wanted me to call. It was too late to call so I have to call tomorrow. I know I will be awake all night now. Why would they call right away?
Avatar n tn My nuclear stress test results were as follows ver batim. I do not know what it means, are the results acceptable, good very good etc. What does this say about the blood flow to the heart muscle ? "injection of Myoview nuclear tracer & resting images obtained excercised on a treadmill for 5 min 34 sec. to 10.
