Avatar f tn Thanks ladies I had been in the hospital since Monday. I was released today they did the test cause baby heart rate was dropping every time I had an occasional contraction but she passed the test and I came home other wise they were going to deliver her.
Avatar n tn t recall as it has been a while, but I have had several tests over the years and can say the only dietary restrictions I recall was during the hour or so I was released to have a light lunch before a final scan. That is to say I able to have a light lunch during the testing period.
Avatar n tn I had a thalium stress test yesterday...I have a ten month old child at home..how long before the radiation leaves my body so I know it is safe to handle my child...I work in a hospital and radiation silent alarm went off today so Im assuming its still pretty high. I had the test at 1pm yesterday...is it s still very strong and should I be worried about exposing it to my family?? This discussion is related to Thalium.
Avatar n tn I had a Nuclear Stress test yesterday 10/05/09, and was wondering if it could have caused any problems. First of all, i was extremely nervous and having high anxiety before, during and after the test. I made it through the test just fine and when I called the Dr. back about my results he said everything looked normal. There were no blockages as far as he could see. I haven't seen my GP yet, so I don't know the in depth diagnosis, if there is one.
Avatar f tn Hi i have been having pain in my chest and a blood test showed raised enzymes, I had a stress test done today and the ECG suggested an extra heart beat and my blood pressure dropped when i finished the test but had no pain in my chest just breathless, the specialist said he wasnt worried by the results but wants me to have another test where they will inject me with a dye and i go in a machine similar to an MRI scanner.
907729 tn?1244174363 I have been having chest pains and shortness of breath and the feeling that I am full. I am on many meds. I had another stress test and I am just not real sure of what the results all mean. Tried talking to my doctor, but he didn't explain it real well. he just said he wants to do another catherization. I was wondering if you can explain my results for the nuclear Spect Imaging Study? Findings: 1. Left ventricle appears at least borderline enlarged.
Avatar n tn The catherization will give them a much more accurate view of all the major arteries in your heart and they can determine what will need to be done. Generally, blockages less than 50% are left alone but need to be monitored, up to 75%-80% usually can be stented, 100% blockages generally require bypass. As for the damage to the heart, it may not be a blockage, it could be scare tissue damage or an electrical impulse issue, that's why they are doing the cath.
Avatar n tn There are two basic thoughts from your results, but the cause is likely to be the same. It looks as though your Left Anterior Descending artery is either fully blocked, or very close to it. What they cannot establish is whether the blockage is total, and muscle death has occurred, or if the damage is through the whole thickness of the muscle. The reference is to the middle and lower portion of the front of your left ventricle.
Avatar m tn Family doc sent me to cardiologist and who had me do the nuclear stress test. I got my results today and a little confused.... The EKG shows mild depression and the doc said he thinks it's fine and couldn't really give me an answer as to why it was abnormal. The stress test findings were: The overall quaility of the study is good. The rotating raw images reveal breast attenuation. The right ventricle appears normal.
Avatar m tn the dubotomine stress test prior to the stenting said it showed positive for ischemia affecting heart wall in three places. EF was 70.19%. What was notable about this test was that I am perfectly normal at low and medium dose of the dubotamine. Maybe I should lust live like that - low and medium pulse? All the grim looking stats came at high dose with pulse at 120. That's high for an 81-year-old? It would take me a fair sprint along the road to get it up to that level.
1491262 tn?1288413065 my husband just had a nuclear stress test he has to go back to the dr. Wednesday , they said he had some blockage and they saw a place on his heart they want to check out he has had triple bypass and had a heart attack last year . they want to do some kind of dye test now what could this mean ? and what might the dr. do im trying to understand all of this .
Avatar f tn I am new here. I am 44 and overweight, never smoked. Have had a lot of brain surgeries for Chiari Malformation/Hydrochepalus. Recently I have had shortness of breath...and so test showed low oxygen saturation upon exherstion. Test of lung were unremarkable...except for a "floppy" trachea that collapse by 50% on exhaling. Just has a chemical stress test done and am waiting to see a cardiologist on Friday.
Avatar f tn My husband just received his results from recent stress test. (He is 36 y/o. Father had first double bypass at 37 and died at 56, so there is a family history of heart issues.) Stress spect cardiolite images decreased cardiolite uptake in anterior and inferior walls. Spect cardiolite scan was positive for moderate amount of ischemia of anterior and inferior walls. Comments: 1. Anterior defect/possible soft tissue/breast attenuation artifact, 2.
Avatar n tn As follow up my doctor did a nuclear stress test, results showing normal, good blood flow and no blockages. Is the result correct? Where did the two blockages shown during the catherization go? I was just confused by the results, which were given to me via answering machine by a nurse. Should I call my doctor to question the results of the stress test?
Avatar m tn I recently took a treadmill stress test and nuclear stress test. Basically, the conclusions are that I have: 1) moderate size inferior ischemia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) ECG is positive for ischemia at a good workload. No chest pains, no arrhythmia. I've research the Internet and have reached a tentative first impression, but would appreciate any professional feedback on the above three conclusions. I am being scheduled for a heart catheterization. Thank you.
Avatar m tn I just completed a tread mill stress test and a nuclear stress test. Briefly, the results are: 1) attained 100% target heart rate, no chest pains, no arrhythmia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) Moderate size infereior ischemia 4.) ECG is positive for ischemia at good workload (reached heart rate of 143). I've formed a preliminary impression from my research on the Internet, but I would appreciate professional feedback. I am scheduled for a heart catheterization. Thank you.
Avatar f tn test with myocardial perfusion imaging revealed mild to moderate ischemia involving the basal anterior septum and mid anterior septal walls. He is status post recent (4/7/08) four-vessel bypass graft with a LIMA to the LAD. My husband has been labeled a walking piece of plaque by his cardiologist. With his open-heart surgery being so recent, with him being diabetic, and he has never had any symptoms of his illness - should this recent test be looked into further by your opinion?
Avatar f tn when i had the stress test done , my bp was so high they would not let me walk so i to got the shot, and yes it took my heart from 60 to way up there , i thought i was going to die it was beating so fast, mine would not come down so they gave me another shot to broing it back down. wonder how bad that is on your heart.
Avatar f tn ve seen other messages where folks did well on their stress test but posted all their results so someone could explain some of the terminology. I wonder if you have to ask for the results.
