Common Questions and Answers about Stress test results mean

stress-test

Avatar f tn No significant EKG changes during vasodilator stress test. 2. Normal post stress resting left ventricular wall motion and ejection fraction of about 77%. 3. Mildly severe fixed defect involving the apical anterior wall, likely breast attenuation. 4. No reversible defects noted to indicate ischemia.
Avatar f tn ve seen other messages where folks did well on their stress test but posted all their results so someone could explain some of the terminology. I wonder if you have to ask for the results.
Avatar f tn I am new here. I am 44 and overweight, never smoked. Have had a lot of brain surgeries for Chiari Malformation/Hydrochepalus. Recently I have had shortness of breath...and so test showed low oxygen saturation upon exherstion. Test of lung were unremarkable...except for a "floppy" trachea that collapse by 50% on exhaling. Just has a chemical stress test done and am waiting to see a cardiologist on Friday.
Avatar f tn My husband just received his results from recent stress test. (He is 36 y/o. Father had first double bypass at 37 and died at 56, so there is a family history of heart issues.) Stress spect cardiolite images decreased cardiolite uptake in anterior and inferior walls. Spect cardiolite scan was positive for moderate amount of ischemia of anterior and inferior walls. Comments: 1. Anterior defect/possible soft tissue/breast attenuation artifact, 2.
Avatar n tn Imaging portion of the stress test normal mean there was no induced ischemia during the perfusion phase of the test? Does previous ischemia mean there had been occlusions with intervional treatment?
907729 tn?1244174363 I have been having chest pains and shortness of breath and the feeling that I am full. I am on many meds. I had another stress test and I am just not real sure of what the results all mean. Tried talking to my doctor, but he didn't explain it real well. he just said he wants to do another catherization. I was wondering if you can explain my results for the nuclear Spect Imaging Study? Findings: 1. Left ventricle appears at least borderline enlarged.
Avatar n tn Just had a stress test here are the findings, but I"m not sure what they mean, can anyone help? Baseline ecg revealed inferolateral ST sagging - there is one further mm of ST depression at peak exertion being 7.7 METS. This test was positive for inducible ischemia, however, baseline ECG abnormality makes predictive value of this test less. They are now sending me for nuclear perfusion test in a couple of weeks.
Avatar f tn Mild ischemia (reduced blood flow) to the area stated. When one excercises (or under stressful conditions) the heart requires more blood oxygen, and almost always the problem is due to narrow coronary vessels caused by some blockage causing chest pain (angina). Your heart is pumping a normal output so that isn't contributing to the ischemia. Normal EF is 55-75% and that is the amount of blood pumped out with heartbeat.
Avatar f tn That would stress anyone out. Make them go into length about what they mean.
Avatar f tn What does it mean when, during a exercise stress test (treadmill), they tell you to stop early? Is it most likely a good thing or a bad one? Details: Given a stress test for heart rate irregularities. Resting rate was around 80, and bp around 110/70. Between 3-6 min on the treadmill my bp was 170/80 and heartrate was over 140. At 7-8 minutes they told me I could stop because "they had all the information they needed." They said I would have the results in a couple of days.
Avatar f tn 55 into the test when I passed out. In that 4:55, I had frequent pvc's; 2 PVC couplets and 1 PVC triplet and my QRS segment of PVC's narrowed substantially with exercise, widening again in recovery (180 ms to 80 ms) which I was told was a problem.
Avatar m tn “The post Stress Myoview images show a small to moderate territory of decreased perfusion. This involves the basal and mid inferolateral region and is moderate in severity. The remaining segments are perfused normally. The rest Myoview images show partial improvement in perfusion to this region however non-transmural fixed abnormality remains. Gated wall motion study shows mild basal inferolateral hypokinesis. The ejection fraction is 60%.
Avatar f tn test with myocardial perfusion imaging revealed mild to moderate ischemia involving the basal anterior septum and mid anterior septal walls. He is status post recent (4/7/08) four-vessel bypass graft with a LIMA to the LAD. My husband has been labeled a walking piece of plaque by his cardiologist. With his open-heart surgery being so recent, with him being diabetic, and he has never had any symptoms of his illness - should this recent test be looked into further by your opinion?
