Avatar m tn I have a question about the reliability of Combo ag/ab HIV test. I had an unprotected SEX with a massage girl , after 2 minutes I excavated my Condom was broken. I stopped and cleaned my penis . I and that girl have taken HIV combo ag/ab test together 4 times at 3,4,5 and 6 weeks , all of them were NEG. But i read many info on the internet that says the period time of HIV now is 3 months. So I'm very worried.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure too. I guess they did not update their window period. However, all i know is, 3 months is conclusive.
Avatar m tn org/posts/show/1704700 2) Mo medicines have any effect on HIV test reliability, except possibly potent cancer chemotherapy and immune suppression drugs. Your antibiotics have had no effect on your tests. 3) No, these symptoms do not even hint at HIV. However, if the rash you describe keeps returning despite whatever lotion you are using, I would recommend professional evaluation. 4) HIV doesn't do anything like this.
Avatar f tn Did you test for HIV in June? If so, and your test was 4th generation, you are conclusively negative.
1153110 tn?1311048221 Symptoms have nothing to do with test reliability. In your situation the test was 100% reliable since you didn't have a risk.
Avatar m tn Every test you take at any time will be negative and conclusive if your risk was oral sex. People do not get HIV from oral sex. The risks for HIV are from having unprotected vaginal or anal sex or sharing IV drug needles.
Avatar m tn Hi there, Your questions have been answered. You didn't have a risk to start with so your test results are reliable and valid. This thread is now considered closed. There is nothing left to discuss. *****THREAD CLOSED******* No more posts, please.
Avatar m tn hi guys.. i would just like to ask the reliability of the fujibio hiv test kit..i bought this online on a site in the philippines..i tested negative exactly 30 days after my possible exposure...
Avatar f tn According to the American Heart Association, an ECG stress test’s reliability is only 67% which means that a stress test may in fact have a false negative or a false positive. There are a number of heart attack related instances that a treadmill stress test will not be able to identify. It will not, for instance, identify vulnerable plaques which is known to lead to heart attacks." Your dotor has a responsibility to find and treat the underlying cause of your chest pain, etc.
458384 tn?1295720656 My adopted daughter lives very far from me. She was talking about a test her shrink is having her take. Can you tell me what MSDR are the abbreviations for? What kind of a test is it? How accurate is it. Any other information you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn Can you buy an A1c test at the drugstore? I feel funny asking my Dr to run the test because according to her, I don't have diabetes. She never even mentioned pre-diabetes. I don't want her think I'm being neurotic!
Avatar m tn t overthink it. There are no exceptions to HIV test reliability. If you have been tested (within the timeframes discussed in that other thread), the result is reliable and there are no factor that will change it -- so that will end this thread.
Avatar n tn To be honest I can't speak to the science and reliability of the stress test but what I can say is it doesn't sound like you have any concerning symptoms. I am not certain what you were feeling but it may not even have been cardiac in nature. The ER is pretty good at detecting if a person has had or is in an dangerous cardiac event so in general it sounds like your heart if fine but if you still have concerns you should just go and seek a second opinion.
Avatar m tn I was just wondering though- is there anything that can affect the reliability of the test? For example I think I may have an internal candida infection as a result of anti-biotics I was on. Could this or any other infection that the body may be fighting result in a false result in the test? Really worried as it is without having to deal with a false result. Thanks!
Avatar m tn Antibodys to HIV don't show up in a standard blood test. 3 months post exposure is when you can obtain a conclusive negative test result.
