Avatar n tn I had a gated stress test and the report states: myoview stress test: stress and resting spec views of heart were obtained in vertical long axis, horizontal long axis and in short axis projection. There is uniform distribution of isotope throughout the myocardium following stress. Resting scan reveals similar findings. No reversible changes are noted. Ejection fraction measures 69%. All of that sounds ok then primary diagnostic code is minor abnormality! What is abnormal?
Avatar n tn Yesterday I had a nuclear stress test and within a couple hours I felt a hot itchy spot about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide from my shoulder down. The place where the Adenesine was injected did not get red. About 4 hours later I called my drs service and one of them returned my call and we discussed whether I needed to go to the ER. I chose to take a couple benedryl instead. Today the red long blotch is still there. I went to my cardio dr.
Avatar f tn There can be a false positive but modern nuclear stress tests include computer programs that correct for some of this blurring and muffling.

Avatar n tn i too gave myself a bunch of symptoms. the stress has caused my psoriasis to break out on some new parts of my body. STRESS IS REAL. STRESS DOES EFFECT YOUR BODY IN SERIOUS WAYS. i tested negative at 9 weeks....Do you have any idea how reassuring that is SUPPOSED to be? I was so happy and then I got on the internet again and got into the vicious cycle of trying to convince myself the test was wrong and that coffee i finished 10 minutes before the test effected my result and so on...
Avatar f tn they prescribed me reading glasses for the computer because I work as a nurse at night and we have those new computer screens that block the vision from side views so its very irritating to the eyes and My headaches have been horrible at work so she told me to wear them at work with my books and computer and I cant tell if they are helping or just making it worse. uggg...
Avatar f tn I have been having on and off headaches all day that last seconds when looking at light. When I was born my doctor said I had big pupils and would be sensitive to light, but it's so bad the headaches aren't horrible I did have a headache as soon as I got home I sat at my computer monitor and it was horrible is this stress? I have anxiety and it's pretty severe. Should I worry? I'm 14 and never had head promblem etc.
Avatar m tn Questioning why the doctor wants you to have a nuclear stress test verses a regular stress test. People can have an reaction to the nuclear stress test. The test is not perfect. The only true test, which is a procedure, is the angiogram. My mom had the nuclear stress test and was told that it was not bad and a few months later she was totally plugged in two main arteries and about 99 percent plugged in the other. Have you had an echocardiogram yet?
Avatar m tn m not a needle guy and I actually passed out and hit my head on the wall when they were putting the IV in - prior to the stress test. I freaked the nurses out. I insisted on getting the stress test done after that and the cardiologist agreed that it would be a good "worst case" scenario. So I still got up and ran on the treadmill for them. I want to say that I ran for 15 minutes. But they're monitoring you BP/HR etc so don't worry. They're not going to kill you!
212161 tn?1599427282 am so stressed about a nuclear/stress test friday i have thrown myself into anxiety over it . not sure why i have to come off my timilol pills for my pac thursday been on them for 15 years or more that scares me.
228686 tn?1211554707 If you came to my house you would swear we are a computer outlet store. I have computers and parts both new, current and legacy (old as far back as from the early 80's). The bad part is I infected my sons with the computer bug and they would bring wounded computers home, anyone need a 5 1/4" floppy drive?
Avatar f tn thank you for your advice, maybe I was to blunt in what I said. Not so good on the computer,I thinkk maybe I'll change what I wrote and slim it down. I check this everyday about this time if you want to chat.
5143317 tn?1383747820 Sorry TPP is thyrogolbulin antibodies. That was a typo. TSI was 42 range 0-139 You read so many things, some say anything at all is positive and some say it have to be above range. So the fact that I have some of both the TPO and TSI has me confused. If the theory of reverse T3 dominance is correct it would explain some of my symptoms, especially since I have low B 12 which can cause it as well as stress.
Avatar f tn We read and research everything and worry about every little thing that may go wrong. Try to to stress over things too much as this isn't good for you or for your baby. I'm sure everything is fine with your little one. Good luck at your ultrasound tomorrow and keep us posted.
1822306 tn?1330522629 I had a lexascan or a medically induced stress test. It was the weirdest feeling test I have ever had. It felt like a 100 lbs on your chest and caused the breathing to be labored for just a few seconds. Thankfully every thing came back normal.
212161 tn?1599427282 Has anyone had the stress test with the new shot they use, last time I had it, the shot made my heart race, they had to give me another shot to bring it back to normal, they told me yesterday they no longer use the shot that makes your heart race, Would like to hear from anyone who's had the new shot and what you felt, thank you
212161 tn?1599427282 Anyone got the stress test with the new shot that does not make heart race, had my last test in 09 that shot made my heart taking off racing, told me yesterday they no longer use that shot have a different, anyone had a test with that shot
Avatar f tn Echogenic appearance of the liver. Findings suggestionCirrhosis.(not new news!) My spleen is not enlarged. No ascites seen. It did say there is extrahepatic dilatationof the common bile duct prob from my cholsecystectomy (Gall bladder removal), age and upon doing a little research, I found this can alsobe caused by opiates. As I mentioned, I've been on pain management. I'll get the results of my abd. ct scan tomorrow. I did not get cirrhosis from alcohol.
Avatar f tn 2) Any opinion on has my condition resulted from strenuous computer usage? 3) Does excessive computer usage have the capability of causing such damage? 4) Can your eyes get severely strained to the point where it becomes mandatory to take a LONG break from the computer (few weeks or maybe months)? 5) Should I look forward to the floaters possibly reducing in number or just continue to adapt. 6) What are ways to relax and relieve the stress of worrying about the floaters?
Avatar n tn I recently had a nuclear stress done. I did the treadmill and survived it. Anyway, when I asked my primary care doctor for the results. She left the room to see it on her computer. She returned saying my heart works at 70% and that is good. That does not sound good to me. What does she mean when she says that?
Avatar f tn A couple days ago I even noticed my arms and hands were tingling. These could be the result of using the computer a lot, but I always use the computer and never had all of this happen before. I was tested for lyme disease last week and it was negative, so it made me feel better. Last year I was bitten by two ticks--which I am pretty sure I pulled off right away. I'm still concerned about LD because I am always outside and like to hike on nature trails.
Avatar f tn I am new here. I am 44 and overweight, never smoked. Have had a lot of brain surgeries for Chiari Malformation/Hydrochepalus. Recently I have had shortness of breath...and so test showed low oxygen saturation upon exherstion. Test of lung were unremarkable...except for a "floppy" trachea that collapse by 50% on exhaling. Just has a chemical stress test done and am waiting to see a cardiologist on Friday.
