Avatar m tn Where do I find Mets score results? Is it during a nuclear stress test? I had an EF of 50 during this test .( I see maximium workload attained 8.6 Mets, on the same test). What does it mean ? I also have a calicium heart score of 1046??
Avatar m tn I am 62 years old. During Stress Test I was stopped at 136 bpm as the Dr. said Target HR is achieved. The MET was 7.7. Is it a reason to worry? What should be ideal MET for a person of my age?
Avatar n tn My nuclear stress test results were as follows ver batim. I do not know what it means, are the results acceptable, good very good etc. What does this say about the blood flow to the heart muscle ? "injection of Myoview nuclear tracer & resting images obtained excercised on a treadmill for 5 min 34 sec. to 10.
Avatar m tn I had recently my Stress test and ECHO done and ECHO was normail I could also get to my 83% of heart rate in 13.5 mins. but however the isotop test showed the following, Abnormal SPECT perfusion study suggestive of a medium region of mild ingerior ischemia with a summed difference score of 3 Normal left venticular systolic funtion with an EF of 53%. the basilar two thirds of the inferior wall is equivocal for ischemia. the remaining wall segments demonstrate normal perfusion.
Avatar m tn As I was dressed and leaving the doctor came back in and said that my ECG was abnormal (Incomplete Right Bundle Branch Block) and ordered a stress echo test. I scheduled that for today, along with a complete blood panel. So looking at the results, everything is above average (blood results all totally normal). Exercise length, target heart rate, response, Duke treadmill score, blood pressure, everything. However...
Avatar n tn i had a stress text my mets came back at4.
Avatar n tn I have unoperable CAD. I had a MI 2 years ago, Now my doctor wants me to have a walking cardiolite stress test. Why? I already know my LADs are blocked, and I am not a candidate for CABBG. I'm scared to have the test. Im male, 58, and a 32 year insulin dependant diabetic.
Avatar n tn I am a 61 year old male and have had PAT since age 21. I had never had a stress test until recently. Done to evaluate increase in irregular beats. The report said I reached 98% of predicted maximal heart rate as the rate changed from 68 to 157 BPM. BP changed from 152/80 to 189/66. I was stressed to 8 METS. I stopped due to fatigue but had no excess shortness of breath and no chest pain. There were no EKG changes over baseline.
1425157 tn?1311651679 8 miles per hour (fast walk). My stress test 5 1/2 years ago was stopped at 7.2 METs (no nitrate) and that was after little more than 6 minutes and an incline with fast walk. A fit cardiovascular system would be able to continue running until the end (15 minutes) and that woud be more than adequate endurance. On the opposite end, walking up to flights of stairs (about 2 METs) can cause shortness of breath.
Avatar n tn I agree that since he got to 10 Mets it is probable that his heart, in that test, showed a healthy response. However there are many people over age 60, who can get to 10 Mets and fail to reveal underlying heart problems. Part of the problem in the way the test is conducted is that they use the formula of 85% times maximum heart rate as the goal to end the test.
Avatar f tn My stress test was terminated after about 7 minutes at the tolerance level of 7 METs. Healthy heart individual goes up to about 15 METs (it represents the metabolic rate that is corrolated to vital signs). An EKG output could show an alleged abnormality such as an elevated ST interval, etc Keep us posted with your results. Thanks for sharing.
Avatar m tn My CAC score is 1190 , no symptoms of heart problems and Nuclear Stress test is negative. What should I do next. Would you recommend stent or by pass. I am currently on medications for Chol and high blood pressure and all my numbers are within range. I also take one aspirin a day. I exercise and pay much attention to food and life style.
Avatar f tn what is a good score (?) for a tread mill test. I had one last year and did not get any results so I assumed it was a good result. So six months later I called for a result and the nurse said it was 650. So now what does that mean? She seemed evasive. So I todl my doctor I did not receive test results and he said I should have received them right after the test. I would think if anything was wrong they would have told me. BUt I have wondered about this. Thanks!
Avatar n tn 0 The test was terminated after a little more than 7 minutes. A successful test is 15 minutes and 15 METs. Were you short of breath, fatigue, chest pain, etc. and couldn't continue or was the test terminated due to monitor readings?
Avatar m tn My recent nuclear cardiac stress test shows the following results. What does this mean? Is this something to worry about? • Myocardial perfusion images show a mild inferior and Lateral scar versus artifact. The post stress left ventricle normal in size • Post-stress ejection fraction is 87 %. Global left ventricular systolic function is normal • Exercise capacity 13 METS.
Avatar f tn the patient was exercised according to the Bruce Protocol, for 12 minutes (stage 4) with an estimated workload of 13.4 Mets. The test was terminated because of satisfactory cardiac workload. patient did not experience chest pain with stress. The heart rate was 96 bpm at rest and reached 196 with exercise which is 108.3% of predicted maximum. The blood pressure at rest was 126/86 and reached 150/90 at peak exercise which is a normal response. The resting ECG demonstrated sinus rhythm.
Avatar n tn I had a METS score of 4.6. I am out of shape now as a result of not being able to exercise anymore, but I wasn't at all when my problems started. I did a 100 mile backpacking trip just the summer before the chest pains began. Now I have to rest several times just getting ready for work in the mornings.
