Avatar m tn has ordered physical therapy. What I want to know is will physical therapy help in the healing process of a fracture or is that something that should be done once the bone has healed?
1823499 tn?1370090289 m not sure if that is what it is called, but what it does is put ultra sound in the deep tissue in your neck area. Not the direct back. It helped with pain relieve when I was in pt. I think that is what it is called. Ultra sound. Ask they should know what it is.
333672 tn?1273792789 I had an evaluation for physical therapy on Monday and my first session today. I am having increasing trouble with walking and, although I don't know if this is going to help, I think it's worth a shot. So far I have found out a number of interesting things. My flexibility is okay for my age (although it seems worse to me than it used to be), but I have weakness in my hip flexors and in my ankle muscles.
Avatar f tn I know physical therapy really helped me. I made sure that the therapist was educated in Chairi before even touching me. It helped me get some strenght back, and it also helped with the stress exercises. As for me. Before therapy I was avoiding turning my head and with the stretches it helped me to be more mobile. Hope all goes well for you.
Avatar m tn And if left untreated, it can cause some very serious mental and health issues, I suggest you see your doctor for a complete physical and discuss therapy to help you learn to deal with stress............in this world of ours, most of us are feeling added stress in our lives and it's very unhealthy...........we ALL need to learn better how to deal with it! I wish you the best.
Avatar f tn He is eating well, using the restroom, holds his head up, sleeps, responds to some visual and auditory stimuli, purrs, and visible head swelling is gone. However, he walks in circles and he want to run in circles too but his runs into things if going too fast. I don't want him to further hurt himself. What can I do to help him with his physical and visual progress? His pupils are still dilated. We only let him on the floor when supervised.
897648 tn?1241801939 What kind of physical Therapy can I do to help my golden with hind leg atrophy. She does have hip dysplasia, was diagnosed at 2. So she actually has done extremely well with Homeopathic Product. I have started the Rimadyl a few months ago. Thank you.
1903798 tn?1333905288 So today was my first day of physical therapy. I was relieved that she actually knew about chiari and EDS. I had a little fun when she wanted to check range of motion...I giggled...she asked what was funny and I said remember I have EDS. After my evaluation she decided there was no way anyone should be doing manipulations to my body. I was glad. She said ok stretch and strengthening it is for you. She also said she would not be pushing down on my head due to my PFD.
4268628 tn?1375041176 Anyone go through physical therapy to help with joint pains and to help your body adjust to your uterus expanding? Just kinda curious of what to expect. I go in for my first appt on tuesday.
Avatar f tn I went to physical therapy today for the first timeand I feel so much better! Did anyone else have to do physical therapy or are planning on starting? They have me a list of exercises to do at home and they work wonders.
Avatar f tn He gave me a prescription for physical therapy and said that they have a great prenatal therapy with a whirlpool. Has anyone ever done therapy for pain during pregnancy?
Avatar m tn She now has a pin that is sticking out of her hip (about 1/2 inch) to hold the bone in place, eventually the vet says he will remove this pin (the pin could be in place for 4 weeks depending on how she heals). He wanted me to start physical therapy on it immediately after surgery- it has only been 5 days since her 2nd surgery. She is very protective of her leg and puts little if any weight on it.
Avatar f tn I'm starting to get physical symptoms from anxiety as well! I have the tingling pins & needles sensations all over my arms & legs and my stomach is all in knots. I get light-headed sometimes and dizzy. It's exhausting. All my health tests have come back healthy and normal, I'm going to see a psychologist about this next week.
Avatar n tn chronic, perhaps only occasional (though no less tortuous, for that) manifestations of such stress-related symptoms; and, the development of disease in the longer term (cancers, for example), I, among others, am convinced of the critical reality of this relationship/connection. (Chronic dependence on cortisone, moreover, can only negatively impact the body's hormone balance, with far-reaching effects).
Avatar n tn Coreg is medication that helps lower the heart rate and bp. The stress test will evaluate one's physical condition a peak heart rate unmedicated, and how quickly the heart rae returns to normal within 3 minutes or so. Other phases of the test considered as well.
2070825 tn?1337225969 Turns out its not sciatica or spd. Instead I have multiple slipped disks and tore my sacroiliac joint. Probably until after she's born I will be going to physical therapy twice a week to try and fix all of these and I have to wear a pelvic belt 24/7 And people tried telling me these were normal pregnancy pains!
Avatar m tn t go as planned. Our insurance only gives 60 calendar days of physical therapy for each medical diagnosis. So the PT runs out as of Sunday. Craig had a physiatrist appt today and asked the doctor if he could put down a different diagnosis so the therapy could be paid for. Well, doc says no. He is standing by his diagnosis of spasticity and parapesis. Craig said he didn't need that diagnosis changed.
Avatar m tn The later book was first suggested to me four years ago by a recent and young PT school graduate whom new I had Hashimotos disease and was in a lot of physical pain, I also had stomach ulcers from high doses of prescription Ibuprofen which didn't help much with the pain anyway. This young graduate was the first person that understood and explained to me the underlying cause of Hashimoto body pain - the body soft tissue 'chemistry' and rebuilding process (ATP) is unbalanced.
Avatar f tn I have a Dx of RRMS but I've always thought/felt that I have PPMS. I don't have relapses...it's just a steady downhill go for me. A few months back I had PT for 4 months. Now I've started again & this time adding OT, too. Even after 4 months of physical therapy, my upper extremities strengths are around 3/5 and my lower extremity strengths are split between 2/5-3/5. And my bilateral hand grip strengths are 19 when they should be 70.
Avatar n tn I'm in my 30's, i've had problems lately with palpitations, lightheadedness, funny feelings in my chest like my heart will give out, i've become agorophibic because of the intense episodes i have, my doctor can't find anything wrong though i haven't had extremely extensive tests, but there is one peculiar thing, when i experience emotions like laughter especially, or if i am anticipating something, it may induce palpitations or cause me to feel like m
Avatar m tn Thank you, I think I need to dig deep for the reason with my doctor but he said it's the stress and blood flow in penis. Yes, maybe that's vasculogenic as you said. Thanks for those research papers.
