Avatar f tn Have you had a full cardiac assessment? Holter monitor, stress test, echo, ECG etc? If so, you have to listen to your doctor, and trust that they are benign. Skipping a dinner with family to sit and stress about it will only fuel the fire. The busier you are, the better. My PVCs have really intensified over the last few months, and I can sympathize with your anxiety. Just remember there are many of us with the same problem, and all have received the same diagnosis from our doctors.
Avatar n tn I can produce a numbert of different opinions what is the appropriate heart rate and so on with exercising. The best method for someone with a heart issue is to have a stress test. A stress test is oftened done for the purpose of learning the degree of tolerance/risk one can safely do. The rule of thumb stated is not recommended for someone who has heart issues. You will be safe to engage in exercising according to METs.
Avatar f tn Had a stress test there is a large sized anterior walldefect extending to the apex and septal wall. There is a samll sized distal anteroapical defecdt extending to the septal wall. Small sized fixed distal anteroapical defect textending to the septal wall consistent wiht myocardial scar. What does all this mean. I an 70 year old female with family heart history.
Avatar n tn I took a stress test, because my doctor ran an EKG, and it was abnormal, but then my Medicaid ran out, so I never got a chance to see what the results of my stress test were. I do know that my doctor gave me prescription strength aspirin so I don't know what is going on, and I don't have the cash to pay my doctor for a visit. They don't bill anymore, so I'm at a loss there as well.
Avatar f tn I am scheduled for a nuclear stress test on july 30, and an echo. I have had an echo but was wondering what the stress test was?? Anyone with info please help??????
Avatar n tn An Echo Stress Test or a Nuclear Stress Test, if the doctor is suspecting coronary artery disease. However, a regular stress may be sufficient in stable patients or those with a low suspicion of coronary artery disease who are being assessed for exercise tolerance (for example, prior to undergoing a structured exercise or rehab program). If you are/were experiencing chest pains an EKG Stress test is not reliable and probably should have had a Nuclear Stress Test.
Avatar n tn Coreg is medication that helps lower the heart rate and bp. The stress test will evaluate one's physical condition a peak heart rate unmedicated, and how quickly the heart rae returns to normal within 3 minutes or so. Other phases of the test considered as well.
Avatar f tn I wonder why you had a stress test, some symptom trigger it? In my case I asked for a stress test to get a better number on what my maximum exercise HR should be. This lead to lots of additional nuclear and other tests because I couldn't pass the stress test when I in fact didn't have the main problem it checks for. Sorry if I wander... bottom line, see a cardiologist but if you don't have any serious symptoms I think you should think positive, nothing is wrong.
Avatar m tn the doctor stopped my heart stress test which took 10 to 15 minutes, due to me felling tired and sweating cold. what could be wrong?
Avatar n tn My nuclear stress test results were as follows ver batim. I do not know what it means, are the results acceptable, good very good etc. What does this say about the blood flow to the heart muscle ? "injection of Myoview nuclear tracer & resting images obtained excercised on a treadmill for 5 min 34 sec. to 10.

212161 tn?1599427282 Hi, we'll I had my stress test done, just the exercise one with no dye or pictures, I ran it about 7 mins got my heart to 104 percent, could of keep going if I needed to, had no chest pains, or sob. They said you passed sent me on my way. Good news My question is , without pics how much can they tell about the heart, if I had a blockage would it had shown up? Should I feel good about my heart? Avatar f tn When using EKG and blood pressure monitoring alone the test is variously called a cardiac stress test, exercise stress test, exercise treadmill test, exercise tolerance test, stress test or exercise ECG test. Heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, EKG, and how tired you feel are monitored during the test.
Avatar f tn Has anyone taken a stress test ? My doctor got me so worried. I told him today at my appt that my baby doesn't move as much as he use to everyone else told me it's bcuz he's losing space. So I wasn't too concerned and now my doc wants to make sure everything is okay so tomorrow I'm going in for a stress test . Has anyone done this? I'm pretty worried now :( I just want everything to be okay.
Avatar n tn Never had any symptoms of heart problems. Just had a Thallium Stress Test as a precautionary measure due to family medical history. The stress test results showed an evidence of ischemia of basal septal wall. Cardiologist is recommending catheterization. Is it necessary? Some doctors say absolutely not. Use aggressive medical treatments to control cholesterol and blood pressure with 80 mg. aspirin daily.
