Avatar n tn My nuclear stress test results were as follows ver batim. I do not know what it means, are the results acceptable, good very good etc. What does this say about the blood flow to the heart muscle ? "injection of Myoview nuclear tracer & resting images obtained excercised on a treadmill for 5 min 34 sec. to 10.
Avatar n tn Under normal cirsumstances the heart recieves enough oxygen, but under stress (exercise) the oxygen demands increase and the plumbing is not up to the job.
Avatar n tn Just had a stress test here are the findings, but I"m not sure what they mean, can anyone help? Baseline ecg revealed inferolateral ST sagging - there is one further mm of ST depression at peak exertion being 7.7 METS. This test was positive for inducible ischemia, however, baseline ECG abnormality makes predictive value of this test less. They are now sending me for nuclear perfusion test in a couple of weeks.
Avatar f tn 55 into the test when I passed out. In that 4:55, I had frequent pvc's; 2 PVC couplets and 1 PVC triplet and my QRS segment of PVC's narrowed substantially with exercise, widening again in recovery (180 ms to 80 ms) which I was told was a problem.
Avatar n tn I can produce a numbert of different opinions what is the appropriate heart rate and so on with exercising. The best method for someone with a heart issue is to have a stress test. A stress test is oftened done for the purpose of learning the degree of tolerance/risk one can safely do. The rule of thumb stated is not recommended for someone who has heart issues. You will be safe to engage in exercising according to METs.
Avatar m tn they have called it angina. but I have No blockages found. Chemical Stress test is fine. But on the treadmill have thobbing back pain between shoulder blades, caused by activity, exciting. nitro doesn't not have any effect .Blood pressure soars when attacks starts. what could it be. Have saw 3 cardio doctors Had the pain for 20 years. 70 years old. triple bypass done in 1998.
Avatar n tn Standard stress test can be highly UNDIAGNOSTIC. I had one and achieved a METS of 10.1 with no abnormalities in EKG shown however an angiogram revealed an RCA 95% occluded. Get the gold standard, get an angiogram.
Avatar m tn A recently had a stress test and was told by me pcp that it was "fine". I just purchased long term health care insurance and was advised by the company that my premiums would be higher than originally quoted due to a medical history of "mild ischemia with ST depressions and PVC's". Will you please explain this information in laymans terms. Should I be concerned and should I follow up with my pcp?
Avatar f tn I recently had a adenosine/thallium stress test which was adnormal. Do not understand what this means... Perfusion Findings: Moderate sized equivocally abnormal apical, anterior and inferior partially reversible defect consistent with ischemia in the territory typical of the distal RCA and or LAD.
486822 tn?1208800499 Could you help me understand my stress test findings? I am scheduled for a heart catherization due to these findings. I'm am a 45 year old female with obesity and Graves Disease. Exercised for 6 minutes and 30 seconds of a Bruce Protocol. Heart rate increased to 151 which was 86% of her perdicted maximal heart rate. Blood pressure was 124/92 at baseline and peaked at 160/78. Had slight chest discomfort during exercise which resolved with rest.
Avatar m tn Peak stress images revealed hypoperfused infero-septal and apical segment, which showed reversal at rest. Impression: Findings are consistent with infero-septal and apical reversible ischemia. Thanks all!
282760 tn?1213327684 im 52 female had a treadmill stress test and got results back it says there was j point depressions slowly upsloping st segments in the inferior wall leads v3 to v6 by the time peak excercise these changes acheive 1mm st segment depressions after the j point in leads v4 v5 and 1-1.5 mm in the inferior wall leads . These changes resolve by 2 min recovery st depression of 1.0 to 1.5 mm in inferior wall leads, delayed recovery ekgs at 4 min show st depressions in inferior leads which achieve 1.
Avatar f tn I recently had a cardiopulmonary stress test done, and I'm having a hard time interpreting the chart/summary. Is it ever okay to have a drop in blood pressure with an increase in speed/grade?
Avatar m tn I am a Vet so this Thallium stress test was performed at the VA. Test get posted quickly online but follow up by a doctor can take weeks. These results were just post and I'm trying to figure out if should be relieved or more worried. Any input would be appreciated. The posted results are as follows: "Exercise stress and rest myocardial perfusion SPECT showed no areas of abnormal perfusion which indicate the presence of myocardial ischemia, infarction, or hibernation.
Avatar n tn What does the following mean after I had a stress test. I have been having pain on the right side of my chest. "Incidentally on the resting echogram lateral wall of the left ventricle appears to have some denseness and some shadowing. Please correlate clinically. May consider cardiac MRI to analyze the lateral segment better to exclude any mass effect.
Avatar m tn I am not sure to have the catherization, becouse I have two opinion , one cardiology want me to wait and have some pills meantime, and the other want to make the cardiac catherization.According to my nuclear stress test show I have ejection fraction 36%, small zone of ischemia in the anteroseptal segment, and in the inferobasal segment. Thanks for your answer This discussion is related to Ugly bruise after heart cath--normal?.
Avatar f tn Now I am on a blood thinner (Aspirin) and other pill. Doc said he likes to do stress test but may be 6 week from now since I am recovering from current surgery ! I am very worried... I plan to do 2nd EKG in 2 weeks and then if that comes different, I will be relieved. I will get stress test done as well. BUT I never had problems on treadmill or any chest pain or anything at all ! I feel great as far as hear is concerned ! I plan to go see a cardiologist as well.
Avatar f tn On my stress test results it states: 1mm horizontal ST depression noted at peak exercise which is positive for Ischemia. Is that very bad or possibly not so bad?
