Avatar m tn I recently took a treadmill stress test and nuclear stress test. Basically, the conclusions are that I have: 1) moderate size inferior ischemia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) ECG is positive for ischemia at a good workload. No chest pains, no arrhythmia. I've research the Internet and have reached a tentative first impression, but would appreciate any professional feedback on the above three conclusions. I am being scheduled for a heart catheterization. Thank you.
Avatar n tn I can produce a numbert of different opinions what is the appropriate heart rate and so on with exercising. The best method for someone with a heart issue is to have a stress test. A stress test is oftened done for the purpose of learning the degree of tolerance/risk one can safely do. The rule of thumb stated is not recommended for someone who has heart issues. You will be safe to engage in exercising according to METs.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone out there has had a positive exercise stress test and a negative stress echo test. My cardiologist said since my stress echo was negative there is a low probability of me having heart disease. I have been have chest pain with left arm and jaw discomfort on and off for 1 1/2 weeks. I am a non smoker, no high blood pressures, no diabetes, and good cholesterol. I am a 43 year old female. My father had his first heart attack at 50 and died at 60 so I have a family history.
Avatar m tn I asked my friends to carry me to the hospital but my the time i got there i was normal. I decided to go to a cardiologist wednesday this week and we did the stress test. I got up to my predetermined target heart rate of 191 very easily, no breathing complications nothing, graph showed everything perfect. When i sat down to recover afterwards tho i got the same flutter and told the doc to check me NOW.
Avatar n tn You do need to get back with the cardio and get an explanation of a one minute stress test terminated at heart rate of 144. You do not state how you felt at the time of the test termination. You are still not out very far from your heart attack; I'd go back and get some guidance.Let us know. Joan.
Avatar m tn I just got a stress test because of some pains I had in my chest. On a followup appointment with my cardiologist, he indicated that my test results were normal. In fact, the first pages summary of my results looked ok. Here are conclusions: 1. Normal exercise dual-isotope myocaridal perfusion study. 2. Normal gated SPECT left vetricular wall motion study. 3. Normal gated SPECT left ventricular ejection fraction. 4. Negative exercise electrocardiogram. 5. Moderate exercise tolerance. 6.
Avatar n tn for pre-testing for ablation scan showed alot of structual damage to the heart and my mitral valve has adhered to the back of my haert so they scrapped the ablation procedure because they said it wouldn`t improve my condition. My EF is 13-15 percent and my vo2 stress test came back with 14. Do you feel that I should be put on a transplant list if I qualify ?
Avatar f tn Had a stress test there is a large sized anterior walldefect extending to the apex and septal wall. There is a samll sized distal anteroapical defecdt extending to the septal wall. Small sized fixed distal anteroapical defect textending to the septal wall consistent wiht myocardial scar. What does all this mean. I an 70 year old female with family heart history.
Avatar m tn they have called it angina. but I have No blockages found. Chemical Stress test is fine. But on the treadmill have thobbing back pain between shoulder blades, caused by activity, exciting. nitro doesn't not have any effect .Blood pressure soars when attacks starts. what could it be. Avatar f tn I am scheduled for a nuclear stress test on july 30, and an echo. I have had an echo but was wondering what the stress test was?? Anyone with info please help??????
Avatar n tn To clarify, I did undergo a nuclear stress test prior to my heart cath. The stress test indicated there was blockage in one of the arteries. So I was stunned when I was told that I was a false positive and there was no blockage! I thought that a stress test was more reliable! I think my physician was being extra cautious because I have diabetes and because my father died of a massive heart attack at the age of 54. I guess I am now trying to figure out what do I do now?
Avatar n tn An Echo Stress Test or a Nuclear Stress Test, if the doctor is suspecting coronary artery disease. However, a regular stress may be sufficient in stable patients or those with a low suspicion of coronary artery disease who are being assessed for exercise tolerance (for example, prior to undergoing a structured exercise or rehab program). If you are/were experiencing chest pains an EKG Stress test is not reliable and probably should have had a Nuclear Stress Test.
Avatar n tn Coreg is medication that helps lower the heart rate and bp. The stress test will evaluate one's physical condition a peak heart rate unmedicated, and how quickly the heart rae returns to normal within 3 minutes or so. Other phases of the test considered as well.
Avatar f tn I wonder why you had a stress test, some symptom trigger it? In my case I asked for a stress test to get a better number on what my maximum exercise HR should be. This lead to lots of additional nuclear and other tests because I couldn't pass the stress test when I in fact didn't have the main problem it checks for. Sorry if I wander... bottom line, see a cardiologist but if you don't have any serious symptoms I think you should think positive, nothing is wrong.
Avatar m tn the doctor stopped my heart stress test which took 10 to 15 minutes, due to me felling tired and sweating cold. what could be wrong?
Avatar n tn My nuclear stress test results were as follows ver batim. I do not know what it means, are the results acceptable, good very good etc. What does this say about the blood flow to the heart muscle ? "injection of Myoview nuclear tracer & resting images obtained excercised on a treadmill for 5 min 34 sec. to 10.
