Are there any other teachers out there or pregnant moms with hectic jobs. How do you keep your composure?

He started Junior High this year and his Facial Tics seem to be out of control very much making his transition very hard for him to concentrate on anything. His facial movements are every few seconds not any breaks in between. I am not sure how to handle this do I take him back to the Dr or just wait it out and give it sometime for him to adjust. He take Tenex but I think it is not helping him anymore. What does a parent do?

However, this past time, she has been having episodes at least 4 days out of every week for the past month. I know she has two teachers that are causing her stress and she's trying to avoid them. I've talked to the principal and am trying to set up conferences with these teachers. What scares me is that she will encounter stressful people and situations for her entire life and it's now that she needs to learn the tools to handle this.

I am trying to figure out cheap gift ideas for my kids teachers. They always like to give something but this year money is tight. I was thinking of crafting them a gift but not sure what....here is where I need help. Anyone have any ideas of what the kids can make or I can buy for the teachers?

My mother was a teacher in a junior high school before she retired 15 years ago but there was a feeling of respect for the students while also making them respect the teachers as well and of course learn. When I was in college there was one professor who was known to be involved in that sort of thing but as we were all adults there wasn't much you could do about it.

Ewww tuff one. My first reaction was good for them. Get rid of crappy teachers, but then I'm thinking we don't pay our teachers enough for such an important job. I haven't heard the whole story yet, but from what I've heard so far, the teachers were not willing to put in the extra time needed. There's always two sides to these stories and I don't know enough yet to say yeah or nay.

If they were rude, I reached put and put my hand on their bellies. But that was for older Ida. For younger kids, I pretty much just let them and explained to them about it. I also explained that they needed to always ask first before touching. I never really had a baby shower, so I don't know.

Hi Guys, I think you are all touching on something that is dear to my heart.. and that is, that although kids need to know boundaries to be safe and to be able to socialize in the real world after leaving school, we can not continue as a society to put kids in a box where they are to be seen and not heard. The need to make kids conform to a standard that does not work for them is futile in my opinion... especially with a defiant like me. I'm a big advocate for freedom for kids...

school nagging about me taking a test for my 8 year old (ADHD TEST) okay looking over the test i see questions that are not suitable for a school aged kid in 3 grade so i only answer a few of them. Called yesterday to tell me that the result of this test are in, make appt to see them. But I was told that they would send them home...yeah cannot trust them.... anyone have this issue with there school???

I can produce a numbert of different opinions what is the appropriate heart rate and so on with exercising. The best method for someone with a heart issue is to have a stress test. A stress test is oftened done for the purpose of learning the degree of tolerance/risk one can safely do. The rule of thumb stated is not recommended for someone who has heart issues. You will be safe to engage in exercising according to METs.

and one other thing if there was something wrong with my heart would it have shown during the stress test?

Had a nuclear treadmill stress test done while taking the test the whole time the nurse held me up from behind 2 hands on back because i stated i had back problems and as soon as test started she began this procere is this comman practice?

thankyou for responding, yes had the test reached my target heart rate , but didnt feel like i had exerted myself enough to give my heart a real test, thankfully nothing showed, but wish i had some answers to the chest pain that goes down my left arm, and cardioligist says its nothing, well its not nothing its very disturbing actually put me on lipitor as bad cholestrol is 7 oh well if i cark it least i know nothing was wrong..

My doctor has ordered a non stress test for me if I go over my due date. I think they just want to make sure that the baby is doing well because the placenta starts to age at the end of pregnancy so they monitor the baby's heart rate for a bit to make sure the baby is getting enough nutrients and oxygen, I think it's routine.

I have had all bloodwork, sonogram, and biopsy. The nurse forgot to make an apt last month for a stress test the Hepa ordered so now it will be another month before the Cardiologist can see me. My question is: Does everyone have a stress test before starting treatment? I am 56 and in good health, weight, and somewhat athletic. Is a stress test necessary? I am Genotype 2b; I only have to do six months SOC and was hoping to finish treatment before summer.

Do they do stress test for everyone? If so when do they do it?

I have had two sets of chest xrays done and they show nothing as well. I went in for a stress test and it appeared to be "abnormal". I went in for an angiogram and the doctor assures me that my heart is in excellent shape except for a very small blockage. I continue to have the tightness in my chest and the feeling of being flush. I have a blood pressure of 100 over 60 and a pulse of 72. I have had no other problems in the past. I am at a loss as to where to go next.

If so, they can give you something for your anxiety. I had the treadmill stress test and I was able to take a xanax. If it's the other one that's a medicine induced stress test where you lay on a table, then I'm not sure. Is your Dr. wanting you to get this test done? Has the chest pain went away since you started using your inhaler? You know anxiety can give alot of us shortness of breath and chest pains.

I have a stress test today they put me stripes in my belly to monitor the babys heart rate. They did it for 20 minutes and they said everything looks good they said if they see something weird you can be there for up to 2 hours.

There is a non stress test AND a stress test.... There are different reasons for both. During a non stress test they hook you up to a monitor and just keep an eye on baby's movements and heart rate... During a stress test they hook you up to a monitor but they induce contractions to see how baby reacts.

I am scheduled for a nuclear stress test on july 30, and an echo. I have had an echo but was wondering what the stress test was?? Anyone with info please help??????
