Avatar m tn In October thru December 2007 I went through a serious of stress tests, nuclear stress test, echo cardiograms, and a catherization. The process validated that I have Excercised Induced LBBB and that I feel it when it occurs. My cardiologist debated on the cause. The catherization indicated the major arteries to be normal, the heart is normal size and shape.
Avatar f tn I recently had an abnormal EKG that showed a LBBB. I was sent for a Lexiscan stress test and this was the conclusion: Calculated post stress LVEF 51%. There was a medium sized mild to moderate, fixed defect in the basal anteroseptal, mid anteroseptal, apical anterior, apical septal, apex segments.
Avatar n tn through a nuclear stress test, and diagnosed me w/anxiety. I still get the chest pains, especially when I am yelling or upset. I'm concerned that something could have been missed. Is this LBBB causing these pains? Did I cause the LBBB when I was yelling? Will the LBBB ever go away? I'm only 34 and have 4 young children.
Avatar n tn Several articles said it could be microblockages in the coronary arteries. I have had a holter and cardiolyte stress (both showed the LBBB at exerecise), an echo, a cardiac MRI and CT angio which were ok. I still get PVC's, but nothing like I did. I'm terrified to exercise because I know I'm in that rhythm. This diagnosis is scaring me. I have young children and feel that I have a death sentence. So...
Avatar m tn So sorry that your husband is having all this problems. I'm no expert, but I was diagnosed with exercise induced LBBB during a stress test. I've had 24hr holter monitor, ECG's, MIBI test, and also angiogram or heart cath and all of them are normal. I also have fatigue, nap during the day something I never did before, headaches, dizziness, chest pressure, fast heart rate and high blodd pressure. The doctors can't seem to find anything wrong.
Avatar m tn In a normal physical the physician ran an stress test and noticed the irregularity. I had a low ejection fraction upon further investigation but again I've never noticed any discomfort or shortness of breath, really any issues with intense exercise. I had a heart catheterization at the time and the cardiologist said I'm fine and it is like having green eyes instead of blue, nothing to worry about I have a healthy heart muscle.
Avatar m tn This happen with very mild exertion (walking up stairs, walking up small hill, even getting dressed) which is far from my activity level prior to this. At first my Dr mentioned a rate dependent LBBB. After my 2nd stress test and echo/stress echo he is not between 2 different diagnoses positional orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) of syndrome of inappropriate sinus tachycardia (ISD).
Avatar f tn I AM A 28 YEAR OBESE WOMAN WHO WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A LEFT BUNDLE BRANCH BLOCK IN OCTOBER 2010. I HAD A STRESS TEST, ULTRASOUND OF THE HEART WHICH SHOWED EVERYTHING WAS FINE. BUT IT HAS LEFT ME WITH ALOT OF ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS. I AM ALWAYS THINKING SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY HEART. SO I HAD A SECOND OPINION DONE. HE ALSO TOLD ME THE SAME THING. SO HE PUT ME ON A 30 EVENT MONITOR BECAUSE I TOLD HIM I WAS HAVING PALPITATION SOMETIMES.
Avatar n tn They then did a thalium stress test and they said my left side of my heart has a perfusion of 44% instead of 55%. Now they want to do a heart cath. Will a LBBB cause this to be observed on a stress test. They say they are checking for blockages. I hav no sypmptoms and had the EKG just because i was getting ready for a knee scope cause i hurt my knee. Please help, i'm kinda scared of this cath, the first DR i saw scared the ---- out of me.
Avatar f tn I am scheduled for a nuclear stress test next week and the week following a echo cardiogram and a treadmill. The chest pain (which I've not had before) is most uncomfortable when I am lying on back at night. Obviously the near drowning brought whatever this is to the surface but I struggled to breath so hard it definitely stressed my heart. My oxygen levels were in the 80's upon arriving at the first clinic.
Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with lbbb. I have not yet been able to schedule a stress test. I am a 50 year old male who runs 45-60 miles a week. Doctor advised continuing running but concern lead me to run slower than my ability in a half marathon last week. I have no other symtoms or issues except occasional pvc's. Given that it will be a month or more until I can schedule a test am I at risk if I keep up my running schedule including one or more races? Can I race at age/skill maximums?
Avatar f tn No symtoms of lbbb..........dobutamine stress test also negative for ischemia lvef 58% increased?no past heart desease histry ????Jerky septum is normal finding ?Pls answer me i m worry about it?
Avatar n tn There was no symtoms other than heart skips and I have no factors for heart disease. During the stress test My EKG went crazy and I experienced shortness of breath but no pain. Another stress test and echo was done all came back normal other than the EKG going crazy. I was told that I had LBBB. I was sent to an electrocardiologist and was told that it is correctable in most cases. I had a cardiac ablation done and it was found that I had a dual AV node.
Avatar n tn Stress test with an EKG can show any electrical impulse abnormaility such as the LBBB. To provide some insight, electrical impulses have a pathway down the septum and then separately go into the right and left ventrical to pump (contract) and pump blood into circulation. A LBBB indicates there may be some blockage that impede the conduction of the one of the impulses that help contract the left ventricle.
Avatar n tn 78 year old active male diagnosed with LBBB, cause unknown suspect virus or stress related. Never had hypertension. It was always 117+-/68+-. First EF test revealed 35-40%. Upon taking Coreg @ 3.25mg and Lisinopril @ 2.5mg the EF improved to 45-50%. 3 months later the EF went down again to 35-40%. There is no congestive heart failure. There was no evidence of a heart attack. No diabetes, renal or liver disfunction.
Avatar n tn It is LBBB. I have gone through stress tests and now waiting on results. I have know symptoms of heart distress. what is my doctor looking for and how might he treat what he finds?
Avatar m tn This led to a visit with a Cardiologist who ordered a stress test (passed, no blockages) and an echocardiogram. The echocardiogram showed some weakening of the heart muscle, "it's not pumping as strong as we'd like". The Cardiologist said I don't really have anything to worry about. He suggested some lifestyle changes (more exercise and losing some weight) and changed one of my blood pressure meds.

Avatar f tn I just had an EKG that showed LBBB, I have had pvc's for years, caused by stress and anxiety attacks. Other EKG's were normal in the past year.
Avatar m tn Left Bundle Branch Block (LBBB) is an abnormal finding on the electrocardiogram that often indicates underlying heart disease. Since an abnormality of movement was detected in ECHO, your doctor has asked for a stress test to rule out ischemia. Since you have high blood pressure, you should try to control this as much as possible with medication and lifestyle changes.
Avatar n tn My cardiologist just recommended a stress test because I didnt have any other factors for heart problems. During the stress test my EKG went crazy and I felt slightly out of breath. No pains though. I think I freaked out the techs doing the procedure. After the test my EKG returned to normal. I had a LBBB--left bundle branch block. Basically the left side of the hearts nerves were misfiring as I exercised and got the heart rate up. Jan.
1172081 tn?1271922364 Try to cut out the stress as best as you can and maybe take a week for yourself to relax. Its a vicious cycle once you start worrying about your heart. Anxiety kicks in, you start to worry, and it just repeats itself untill you end up back at the docs or er. Have you talked about any medications to help with the stress/anxiety? Was this a cardiologist you were seeing or a regular doctor??....
Avatar m tn If this is the case, and is a new finding, then your doctor may want to investigate if there is an underlying cause for the LBBB or if it is idiopathic. Many patients never experience any symptoms associated with LBBB. You had some ventricular ectopics, however these were isolated and occur in almost everyone, so are nothing to worry about. Without seeing your tracing or knowing your history, this all actually sounds ok.
Avatar n tn I can try. Basically there's an electrical pulse that runs through your heart that makes it beat. It start out in the upper chambers, the atriums, pauses at the AV node before moving down to the lower chambers, the ventricles. There's a pathway that it follows down the middle before splitting off to the right and left.
