My husband is 66 and recently had a SPECT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging Study (stress test). It was essentially normal, with the exception of the following: "there is a moderate sized reversible defect of the inferior and apical walls". The left ventricle was normal in size and the ejection fractions were 57% at rest and 63% post stress. The internet resources suggest that such a defect could be indicative of a prior silent heart attack. Is this true?
I had a sick headache, nausea and dizziness which just got worse during the day. My blood pressure 2 hrs after the stress test was something over 96...the test showed no problems with my heart, but my pressure jumped to about 200 over 100 during the test. I did not feel better until they told me I was dehydrated, even though I had been drinking water and juice all day, and I drank many electrolyte drinks. What was this? They had no answer.
I had the stress test done before my surgery. I could not cross the street without getting out of breath and having chest pain. I was unable to complete the test on the treadmill so they gave me drugs to increase my heart rate so that I could complete the test. You can ask them about it before you have the test.

I had the test of my stomach which said i had hyperacidity, then a test with camera down stomach proved nothing wrong, then a test ocolon showed polyp, cancerouse type was removed. Six months later same test i was clear. Gastro put me on zanax and imodium to stop the spasms i never had diareha thought more prone to consitpation.. Gastro says my stress is in my intestines and i c can feel pain quicker than most. I can feel my entire intestinal trace moving and spasing.
When i exercise I get the burping and buring bad, but tehn that goes with GERD which I have so who knows. Myabve I will ahve another stress test. My last ekg he said was abnormal cause it should low voltage but I read that can be from large breast and thyroid issues, which he just took me off my thryoid that I was on for over two years cause it was raising my blood presssure, who knows. I am confused for sure!
A friend was on infertility drugs...Clomid and the like for a couple of years...unfortunately she did not concieve and decided to give her body a rest. A month after going off the infertility drugs, she started having "anxiety" attacks. She thought it was her heart and consulted a Cardiologist that gave her a "clean bill of health".
Is this a side effect of coming off the drugs or can you give another explanation.
Or seek some type of help to cope with everything, and to stay off drugs while you are pregnant and even after. Meth is definitely not good for an unborn child. Nor is it good for after the baby gets here. Plus you don't want later on for cps to take your baby away. So i would seek some help now and get cleaned up. And try my hardest to stay clean.
It was " suggested " that I have a stress test. It's not mandatory so I'm wondering if I should have one done at all. Has anyone had a stress test? If so what did the results reveal?
In a low risk pregnancy a non stress test or stress test would only be warranted if their was a concern. However diabetics (both gestational and non) have a higher rate of stillborn babies (still rare, but better to be safe) so its common practice to keep a closer eye as the pregnancy nears the end.

Has anyone taken a stress test ? My doctor got me so worried. I told him today at my appt that my baby doesn't move as much as he use to everyone else told me it's bcuz he's losing space. So I wasn't too concerned and now my doc wants to make sure everything is okay so tomorrow I'm going in for a stress test . Has anyone done this? I'm pretty worried now :( I just want everything to be okay.
