Here is a quick test for you. Hold your arm (the one that hurts) straight in front of you with your palms facing the floor. Bend your wrist 90 degrees with the help of your other arm so that your fingers are pointing at the floor and your palm is facing you. Hold your wrist like that for 15 seconds and see if you get any pain or tingling. If you do then your typing is probably causing a repetitive motion injury.

Can a stress test CAUSE plaque to break off and bring on an MI and/or subsequent death? Isn't stress testing just a diagnostic tool to find out if you are having any cardiac problems? A stress test would not make plaque erupt causing an MI?

my husband just had a nuclear stress test he has to go back to the dr. Wednesday , they said he had some blockage and they saw a place on his heart they want to check out he has had triple bypass and had a heart attack last year . they want to do some kind of dye test now what could this mean ? and what might the dr. do im trying to understand all of this .

I recently had a stress test and the results were abnormal. The doctor said my heart shows it isn't closing. So he wanted to do a heart cath. I just returned from this procedure and he said everything looks fine. In the past I have had two or three different doctors tell me I had a mitral vavle prolaspe. Could this be what the stress test showed and if so why did it not show up on the heart cath?

I have been having on and off headaches all day that last seconds when looking at light. When I was born my doctor said I had big pupils and would be sensitive to light, but it's so bad the headaches aren't horrible I did have a headache as soon as I got home I sat at my computer monitor and it was horrible is this stress? the dubotomine stress test prior to the stenting said it showed positive for ischemia affecting heart wall in three places. EF was 70.19%. What was notable about this test was that I am perfectly normal at low and medium dose of the dubotamine. Maybe I should lust live like that - low and medium pulse? All the grim looking stats came at high dose with pulse at 120. That's high for an 81-year-old? It would take me a fair sprint along the road to get it up to that level.

You can use the computer time as a tool for parenting. Remind him that the computer is a privilege that has to be earned. Also remind him that it's not a toy and that if he cannot act mature enough he will lose said privilege.

we all may have other issues in addition to the added stress or emotional over loads....but it is all a result of Chiari affecting our control center....

Questioning why the doctor wants you to have a nuclear stress test verses a regular stress test. People can have an reaction to the nuclear stress test. The test is not perfect. The only true test, which is a procedure, is the angiogram. My mom had the nuclear stress test and was told that it was not bad and a few months later she was totally plugged in two main arteries and about 99 percent plugged in the other. Have you had an echocardiogram yet?

I have taken many test from EKG,ECG to CT's. All of my test have comeout normal numerous times. Do I have to worry anymore. My family history has only one heart attack. In which case it was a granparent at 56. I mean should I have anything to look for anymore? I am 6ft 190lbs and feel like Im falling apart.
