Avatar n tn I had a gated stress test and the report states: myoview stress test: stress and resting spec views of heart were obtained in vertical long axis, horizontal long axis and in short axis projection. There is uniform distribution of isotope throughout the myocardium following stress. Resting scan reveals similar findings. No reversible changes are noted. Ejection fraction measures 69%. All of that sounds ok then primary diagnostic code is minor abnormality! What is abnormal?
Avatar n tn An Echo Stress Test or a Nuclear Stress Test, if the doctor is suspecting coronary artery disease. However, a regular stress may be sufficient in stable patients or those with a low suspicion of coronary artery disease who are being assessed for exercise tolerance (for example, prior to undergoing a structured exercise or rehab program). If you are/were experiencing chest pains an EKG Stress test is not reliable and probably should have had a Nuclear Stress Test.
Avatar n tn Yesterday I had a nuclear stress test and within a couple hours I felt a hot itchy spot about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide from my shoulder down. The place where the Adenesine was injected did not get red. About 4 hours later I called my drs service and one of them returned my call and we discussed whether I needed to go to the ER. I chose to take a couple benedryl instead. Today the red long blotch is still there. I went to my cardio dr.
Avatar f tn There can be a false positive but modern nuclear stress tests include computer programs that correct for some of this blurring and muffling.
Avatar f tn CAD is a computer program ..... normally the Radiologist reads the films but when using CAD the computer program also evaluates the films and marks certain areas that need special consideration and those areas are looked at again, perhaps more closelly by the Radiologist.
Avatar m tn Now, about 3 weeks into my new exercise program, I am starting to get palpitations during the day, while sitting at my computer. I also sometimes feel them when I'm starting a walk, however, it seems that once I warm up a bit, I don't feel them anymore. It actually seems like the only time lately I'm not feeling occasional palpitations is when I'm in the middle of a walk.

Avatar f tn I had been experiencing a great deal of stress, including a really stressful divorce and surviving Ground Zero on 9/11. I have had every conceivable test for MS which were negative but I am being treated with Copaxone which has not resolved the issue. It has not gotten worse. I do eye exercises under the guidance of a behavioral optometrist which does help quite a bit.

648910 tn?1290663083 My MS My Way recommended a program called sticky notes. They are sticky notes for your computor. You just use them on screen as opposed to having them lying and sticking everywhere. I downloaded the free version yesterday. I have been using them since and I do believe I am going to like them. Mostly because I don't have to hunt for that note I wrote to myself :0) Here is the address http://www.freestickynotes.
Avatar f tn Can someone please help me understand my recent Stress test findings: Images show mild intensity small-sized defect, located in the distal anterior and apical wall. Rest images show no change of the defect compared to the stress images. This defect suggests infarction vs. artifact in the wall. Gated SPECT imaging demonstates abnormal septal motion of the distal anterior and apical wall. The left ventricular ejection fraction was calculated to be 56%.
Avatar f tn I have been having on and off headaches all day that last seconds when looking at light. When I was born my doctor said I had big pupils and would be sensitive to light, but it's so bad the headaches aren't horrible I did have a headache as soon as I got home I sat at my computer monitor and it was horrible is this stress? I have anxiety and it's pretty severe. Should I worry? I'm 14 and never had head promblem etc.
645800 tn?1466860955 I'm lucky to be able to even post tonight. What I got up this morning my computer informed me that my hard drive was failing. Yes it actually told me to backup and replace the hard drive. LOL My computer has been acting kind of funny ( slow) for several weeks now. So I made the 4 hour round trip to the store to pick up a new hard drive and a new copy of windows. Sure didn't need that expense now. But it is not all bad news.
Avatar f tn did you do it? i went to my midwife appointment and she suggested that i should do it but most women don't. i kinda don't want to do. i want to keep my baby either way and would add more stress if i found out. any advice and your stories?
144586 tn?1284666164 Similarly a test in a sensior citizens center found the computer software will not permit downloading of the program. A third test in an internet cafe demonstrated the survey cannot be downloaded. A fourth test in a deli pay computer also blocked the survey. This suggests that many people are not going to be able to answer the survey, who would desire to do so, and the outcome will be biased. This should suggest that a new survey be devised without the .exe file.
Avatar n tn One of the things that makes the Cogmed Working Memory Training distinctive is the activity of the coach who assists with the training. The person who undergoes the five-week program does so at home with a computer. The coach monitors the child's progress via computer and uses the telephone to offer feedback, guidance., etc., and to help solve any problems that arise during the training. You might like to read about Cogmed Working Memory training on their web site: Cogmed.com.

973741 tn?1342342773 Our engineers recommend a program called malwayrebytes (www.malwarebytes.com) for this, and their free program will suffice to fix it. In most cases, an updated anti-virus program will be enough to prevent malware from infecting your computer, but you need to keep it updated at least weekly. (Mine checks for updates daily, and you can usually set a schedule to check for updates and scan your system.) Please let us know if you need any help with the malwarebytes, or with anything else.
Avatar f tn During a stress test your blood pressure and EKG is constantly monitored. If you feel any discomfort at any time, you tell them to stop the machine and you will not have any damage. It is no different to going for a walk. Discomforts quickly stop when you relax. Ace inhibitors will not affect your performance and they are not going to cause harm. The stress test will give an accurate reading of your general fitness which includes the fitness of your heart.
Avatar m tn My wife was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder/Severe Depression about 10 years ago, but - I am guessing - has had it all of her life. She's overweight, was morbidly obese at one point (over 400 pounds), but has been doing quite well in losing weight this past year (nearly 90 pounds since February). Food used to be her "anti-depressant", if you will. But the doctor told her that if she didn't start losing weight, she would become diabetic.
Avatar f tn 2) Any opinion on has my condition resulted from strenuous computer usage? 3) Does excessive computer usage have the capability of causing such damage? 4) Can your eyes get severely strained to the point where it becomes mandatory to take a LONG break from the computer (few weeks or maybe months)? 5) Should I look forward to the floaters possibly reducing in number or just continue to adapt. 6) What are ways to relax and relieve the stress of worrying about the floaters?
Avatar n tn I'm 17 weeks into an exercise program to recover from being pretty deconditioned. Starting out with 10 minute walks, and now I walk 30 minutes or go 20 minutes on my elliptical trainer every day. My resting heart rate has dropped from mid 80s to low 70s, and anxiety or mild exertion doesn't send my heart rate above 100 like it used to. But the last couple weeks, I've noticed that my heart rate has been going up more rapidly on the elliptical trainer.
