stress-test

Avatar n tn I've searched everywhere for an answer to this issue. A month ago I started to notice the flashing sensation just up and left of my central field of vision in my left eye. After a few days it turned into silver strands that only are visible against bright lights or areas of high contrast. I haven't seen an eye care specialist yet due to the nature of my job ( don't worry I'll go soon ).
Avatar f tn 2) Any opinion on has my condition resulted from strenuous computer usage? 3) Does excessive computer usage have the capability of causing such damage? 4) Can your eyes get severely strained to the point where it becomes mandatory to take a LONG break from the computer (few weeks or maybe months)? 5) Should I look forward to the floaters possibly reducing in number or just continue to adapt. 6) What are ways to relax and relieve the stress of worrying about the floaters?
Avatar m tn i work cross word puzzles and play games on my computer to keep my mind active. they have some puzzle books from penny press for your mind. i bought a value package and they are fun and stump me sometimes. everyone forgets things. i asked my doctor he just says you don't have alzeimers. i don't know how he know he never has checked anything out to see. good luck with your doctor, but try doing things that make you think.
Avatar n tn Would sitting at a computer playing certain types of games be beneficial for someone with Alzheimer's, especially in the early stages? If so, where can one find such games for a Windows PC?

Avatar f tn its about my 17yr old son. He is a very intelligent person but since the age of 13 he started showing symptoms of anxiety. he in now 17 and seem to have no interests in the real world. plays computer games 24/7 wont go to school and always sleeping. can't seem to have a real conversation with him. if i or anyone speak to him it will be yes, no ...just one word answers. He bites his nails so much that they have gone away from his fingers. This causes me anxiety and stress.
Avatar n tn I can't answer your question. Discuss with your personal physician.
Avatar f tn (And I did have a computer guy tell me a lot of viruses come from games and music.
Avatar n tn I had a gated stress test and the report states: myoview stress test: stress and resting spec views of heart were obtained in vertical long axis, horizontal long axis and in short axis projection. There is uniform distribution of isotope throughout the myocardium following stress. Resting scan reveals similar findings. No reversible changes are noted. Ejection fraction measures 69%. All of that sounds ok then primary diagnostic code is minor abnormality! What is abnormal?
Avatar n tn Yesterday I had a nuclear stress test and within a couple hours I felt a hot itchy spot about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide from my shoulder down. The place where the Adenesine was injected did not get red. About 4 hours later I called my drs service and one of them returned my call and we discussed whether I needed to go to the ER. I chose to take a couple benedryl instead. Today the red long blotch is still there. I went to my cardio dr.
Avatar f tn A simple solution to most child computer use problems is to keep the computer in a room commonly used by other members of the family. A living room, for instance. That puts the kibbosh on unhealthy surfing and relieves mom and dad detective duties. Of course, bans should be in place anyway.
Avatar m tn I thought it was over, so i started with the computer again, and over time, it came back again. Then i quit with the computer, and it went away, and I did this a few times. Then I went to an opthalmologist, who told me my eyes looked fine. I had 20/20 vision, and nothing was wrong. He told me to just keep puting artificial tears in my eyes. I did, but it did not help, and the problem came back again, but now, I am doing everything to make it go away, but it won't this time.
Avatar f tn There can be a false positive but modern nuclear stress tests include computer programs that correct for some of this blurring and muffling.
952564 tn?1268368647 t have a computer, obviously, but I made up my own games, like naming the US states, then alphabetically, then alphabetically but backwards, then the capitals, and then some number games, and then replaying movie or TV show scripts in my head, etc. etc. I find those types of computer games to be particularly soothing as well. I also really enjoy the website "sporcle.com", which has tons of quizzes spanning just about every subject.
178239 tn?1277405491 I used to get hooked on different online computer games/social networking sites like Neopets. Starts off like any other addiction, to escape stress, at the time it was stress from college and family relationships... But what started off as a stress reducer turned into a serious problem. Eventually it led me to drop out of college. ---- I used to justify my addiction at the time by saying; hey at least I'm not drinking or doing drugs...
Avatar f tn Another tough call. I currently play games on a PSP, PS2, Xbox, and the computer. I wouldn't give any one of 'em up either. I love my PSP...great graphics, portable, great when someone's watchin' the t.v. and I want to play a game that's not on the computer. I have always been a Sony-person, so I love my PS2 and the majority of my games are PS2s.
Avatar f tn My concern is he plays video games a lot and computer games. i feel that he is getting to entranced in these games and is purposely ignoring the signal to go potty because he doesn't want to stop playing!!! I need your input!! I'm freaking out and not knowing what to do or how to handle this situation!!! PLEASE!
Avatar n tn Especially if he is playing computer games. Trust me I am a 25 year old male who loves to play computer games, but even I have to regulate myself and how much time I spend on the computer. With a child as young as he is, if he is starting to watch too much TV and be on the computer alot, he may eventually become anti-social and rely on the electronics for his interaction needs.
1836820 tn?1339475588 Our brains are so powerful...that's why stress & anxiety can wreak havoc on our bodies! It's best to try to relax more. Find things that soothe you b/c getting upset doesn't make the problem get resolved if anything it makes it worst so do a "spa day" at home or if u have $ do you! I like to soak my feet then give myself a pedi. I like to play computer games to distract me too, & it seems to help.

Avatar f tn Ladies I'm so depressed I'm 37 weeks 17 days to go. I cook breakfast, lunch, dinner & clean constantly. I make sure everything is clean and he's happy but I feel I dont get appreciation for it.im not asking for much, but a foot rub or a back rub or breakfast in bed once in a while would be nice. I feel like he's the pregnant one. Man if so I would be a great husband lol. He's selfish and only thinks of himself.
Avatar f tn Do you use your hands/wrists a lot for work/computer/video games? The tingling sensation makes me think of an RMI-repetetive motion injury, like carpal tunnel. If you do a lot of work with your hands, you should have them checked. If it is something like carpal tunnel, it's better to catch it early. I have carpal tunnel in both hands.
Avatar n tn He is now very much involved in computer games, whenever I told him to stop he became so furious about it,Or when he didn't get what he wants,he behaves badly like talking back, disarranged or make his room upside down/messy.He shouts at me trying to reason out with disrespect..As a MOm I feel so frustrated and tell my self," Is this the kind of son I have?
