Do you have a virus scanner/remover on your system...if you are running McAfee or even Symantec (Norton) they sometimes don't always catch them...I recommend getting AVG virus scanner...it's free and very effective..you can download it on CNET.com and search for AVG Free Version..download it and set it up to run every day...I haven't had a virus on my home computer in years.

com seems to have a $2 off coupon, however, you have to have flashplayer on your computer to download it......which our computers do not have at work.... we cannot download programs without administrative permission... anyways...is anyone on that could go to the site and pull up the coupon, "print" the screen of their computer, i believe its control and the print screen key...and then paste it in to an email (control and P) or right click and paste.....

This works also when downloading something to your computer. #1 thing to remember is to download everything to your desktop only. Then use the Avast and Malware scans to pre-scan the downloaded item prior to running them, viewing them or listening to them. Once the scans turn up negative, then enjoy your download and move it where you want to put it, then delete it off the desk top. Keep in mind, the desktop acts as an in basket for everything you get off the internet at all times.

Just a quick update regarding the Conficker Worm that is set to begin at midnight on April Fool's Day (this Wednesday): As of this writing, the only thing known specifically about this worm variant is that it will block infected machines from running removal tools with "Conficker" in the name. It will also apply it's own version of the Microsoft patch (MS08-067) thereby overwriting the vulnerability fix.

If I were you, I would download AVG free edition located at http://free.avg.com/ and run a full system scan on your computer. I recently bought a new computer, and my data usage has increased dramatically. I'm a frequent contributor to MH; it probably accounts for about 90% of my internet usage.
