To my understanding nights sweats are a product of a fever, right? Can you have night sweats without a fever? If so would non-fever night sweats relate to HIV still? Also how do you know if your having a fever at night? in the past when I had a night sweat, I would just wake up because I'm wet usually around my neck and chest area, I don't feel like I had fever. I remember in the past when I got tested for HIV I got so stressed I was having night sweats, test turned out to be negative.

I am 22 years old, two kids, but for the last year I have been having terrible night sweats. They are so bad that my hair is soaked my pillow is wet and my clothes are sticking to me. I would like to know, Could night sweats due to ARS could occur without fever? Are they localized i.e. occur only around one's neck and upper chest? How many nights could they occur? As regards drenching, does it mean that you expect to change all the bedding's or just the only the thin bed sheet on the upper most?

Well, over the past couple of weeks, I have been waking up with minor night sweats. They could possibly have been because of the room being hot as it is starting to get hot up here in NY. Last night, I had a sweat that really freaked me out. I fell asleep and woke up about an hour later drenched, head to toe. Only thing was, the room wasn't hot. Nor did I feel hot. I took my temperature, which was 98.2F. So, I was thinking that this is impossible.

I get night sweats too at times. I have noticed them since I was in my young 20's. I did mention it once to my doctor years ago but all she said was "your too young for night sweats" so I forgot about mentioning it again. I also have hyperhydrosis, though. Don't know if they are somehow related?

I have heard from several people that nightsweats are quite common with people my age entering adulthood.

So that can resolve the menopausal type symptoms (in your case night sweats) but I do not know if it will just prolong the situation or not. If you are close to menopausal age, there is a greater chance that your other ovary may not make up for the one that was removed. In that case, you may want to go on hormone replacement if this problem continues much longer.

ve had this over a month now, along with sore muscles, but no fever, no sweats, no flu-like symptoms, no sore lymph nodes or anything... just this rash, some aches and sometimes diarrhea . Is this rash I describe similar to the rash with HIV? Like I said, doesnt itch at all, small bumps on back or arms/shoulders/chest (kinda red, some arent). Only rash I have that itches in a spot on my upper leg which my doctor said was excema.
