My question is, now I am experiencing some other things that I have read could be the early warning signs of an impending heart attack in women, they are - spasmodic dry cough (comes out of the blue, sometimes 12 x day, others 2 x day), and I am suffering from very interrupted sleep. I am waking up almost every hour on the hour every night for the past week or so. I also suffer from extreme bouts of fatigue (not always in conjuction with lack of sleep).
It cannot be measured really, some women have a low threshold for stress, and some women just breeze through it. But as an individual, you know your body, and pregnancy is a very important time to listen to it. So, take it easy, rest when u feel like you should, and make a conscious effort to do the best for you and your Baby.. All the best..
The long and the shot of things is that for HIV diagnosis there is simply no substitute for testing. In addition, sometimes after an exposure that, in retrospect, one wishes they had not had, persons tend to examine themselves and be far more attuned to genital sensations than in periods when they are not concerned. Thanks a lot, I appreciate it... I was reading that some women have taken 11 at home tests, 2 blood tests and all were negative, and finally at 3 months preggo it cam eout positive. So, I have been a little nervous!!

I attended to the ER on Tuesday evening after a strange sensation in my chest (i am female and 41). I would describe it as a light pulling sensation. Defintely not pain but odd nonetheless. I then panicked, broke out into a sweat and went to the ER. The ER Dr. did all of the appropriate troponin testing x 2 (8 hrs apart) as well as 3 ECG's and everything came back normal. He then suggested going for a treadmill stress test which I did today.

There are pain relief options that can help make it tolerable, however, and even enjoyable but I won't lie...it will hurt. Hi I'm 16yrs old and lately I've been nauseas, a bit gassy mainly in the mornings 8am-11am or evenings around 6pm-9pm, what seems like hot flashes, dierrhea, and problems eating. I'm afraid I might be pregnant but at the sametime I couldn't be because I have been having my period and normally you don't have dierrhea if pregnant. but also everytime I have my period it normally only last 3-4days. I've also been under TONS of stress.
In my case it was more a burning sensation in the center of my chest. I could also feel it radiate up to my jaw and in my arms. I was never really short of breath, but I was nauseated and sweating. The last time I was also shaking. I knew someting was wrong. At times even now I have a strange tingling in my upper back between my shoulder blades. Have you had any discomfort of this type?

The truth is, not sure what signs you are equating to pregnancy before you even would have started your period. Really, pregnancy has few early signs. As stated accurately above, most of what women think are early pregnancy signs when desiring pregnancy are related to pms. And when we are trying to get pregnant, we feel every twinge, pain, or blip our body does. I tried for a good while to conceive so was in that boat too.

Im cramping, tired, constipated etc all the signs but still no period.
Stress causes our bodies to go into fight or flight mode and forces us to use our bodily resources make the stress hormone cortisol , instead of those resources making all the other hormones we and baby need. So, stress is not a good thing. But I'm sure if its short term baby will be fine. Women in war torn countries still end up having healthy babies :) take a deep breathe and get some relax time.
Hi brandy409!! I have 3 children and I am 9 weeks pregnant with my 4th. I took my home pregnancy test in January and it came up positive in less than 1 minute. The shooting pain is probably gas. Or it could all be stress. Lot's of women miss there period due to stress. If not stress than I'm not sure. But I think if you were pregnant you would know by now.
If you think there is a possibility that you have an STI, then you get to the doc ASAP. Women often don't show signs of having chlamydia (beg ure pardon if u arent a woman) but if you feel something isn't right-no matter what it is-get to the doc and don't chance your health. Whatever damage is done to your body, with an STI, can not be reversed. All the more reason to go because you don't want it there another day wreaking havoc.
